Maybe this can help:

make your text layer and put the effects that you want

now duplicate the layer and change the settings, usually we untick or tick the boc near the word Reverse for the Gradient overlay effect.

now in the timeline box you can see a a frame put a time to it and duplicate it.

In the first frame just the first layer should be visible, check the little eye near the layers. And in the second frame just the second Layer should be visible.

Once done click on play and if it works

click on File-->save for web and devices.

And i think it should work.

Seems like u didn't framed them properly.. See if u want them to shine/glitter or whatsoever...
Adjust the layers nd frames accordingly...
Firstly which layer u want to show... Keep tht only... make other layers invisible nd a frame..
Then visible the second layer nd invisible the rest nd then add a frame..!!
Nd so on.. Till it satisfies u...
Nd be sure u dnt have '0 seconds' as ur frame timing !!
Nd please do select forever as a option !!!
