I think you may have misunderstood the examples, so I was saying that the DDLJ poster could just show Maan and Geet instead of SRK and Kajol. Bommarillu is a Telugu romantic film (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bommarillu about a father-son relationship and hence I said that one could possibly show a father-son duo holding hands for the poster. But again all these are some examples I came up with.

The poster can look like anything you think it should look like. And like I said before it does not have to have the original cast nor does it even need to show people...it can also just show inanimate objects, landscapes, etc.

I hope this makes sense and if not then please ask away.

Also I hope people are clear that you do not need to show the original cast on the poster. You might show Tom Cruise for Ghajini, Rajnikanth and Sushmita Sen for Dabangg, Lord Voldemort for Matrix, or a yellow dupatta along with an Indian flag for Rang De Basanti.

And again the movie can be in any language. It doesn't have to be Hindi or English.

Question .. Question - is it necessary to change the cast?? Can I not use the original cast or a person from the cast and pair him/her with somebody else

Like for eg- can I create Dabbang with Salman&Sonakshi .. or or .. I could take Salman and pair him with Miley Cyrus for that matter..?? Umm - do you get it? :P :P Cause I know I'm being a pain! :P 😆

Oh for sure you can do that! Like I said you do not need to include the original cast which means using the original cast is alllowed as well as using different people. And yes you can totally mix and match i.e. use parts or all of the original cast along with different people.

Right it can have tv characters, film actors, reality tv stars, sports celebs or any other person and they do not have to be the original cast members. That said you can also make a new poster with the original cast or you can mix and match i.e. make one with some of the original cast members and with someone not in the movie.
