Dr Manas returns to Astitva
Harsh Chhaya enters the serial to bless his son Siddhant in the serial

Quitting and making a comeback several episodes later is a common phenomenon in most serials these days. One of the prodigals was Dr Manas, aka Harsh Chhaya, of Astitva - Ek Prem Kahani, who mysteriously disappeared from the serial a year ago.
The news is that Harsh is slated to make a comeback in the serial. When Harsh walked out, it was alleged that he did so because he was not keen to play the character of an old man after the serial took a leap of 18 years, last year.
Now, the actor returns to the serial, in the guise of an old man to bless his son, Sidhant.
Apparently, Sidhant is to tie the knot to Dr Simran's daughter Siya, played by Upasana Shukla. For the uninitiated, Nikki Aneja plays Dr Simran and Dr Manas was her best friend in the serial (that is, before he walked out).
Confirming Harsh's return, director Ajai Sinha says, "Yes. I have spoken to Harsh and he will be back in the serial. I think he was bored of doing the same character and decided to opt out when the serial took a leap. Actors normally tend to get bored playing a character especially when the serial goes on for long."
The director makes no pretence of the fact that he was eager for Harsh to come back. He adds, "Even the channel is upbeat about his return. The father obviously has to be present at the son's wedding. After that the serial will continue with its usual twists and turns. With his re-entry the story would be all the more interesting and engrossing."
Harsh Chhaya was unavailable for comment in spite of repeated attempts.
