Astitva - India Update 15 Dec 2004

Riya is at Manas's place and is asking Manas what is wrong. He does not say anything. She insists. She tells him that she knows the strong bonds shared by him and Simran and she also understands that new relationships will put a strain on existing relationships. He asks her what she is trying to say. She tells him that she is the cause of all problems and will go away from his life. He asks her not to talk rubbish and that she is not going anywhere.

Abhi is at Simran's house to talk to meet Simran. Mr. Mathur opens the door. Abhi greets him and enquires after Simran. She walks in. He greets her and tells her that he wants to talk to her. He tells her that he went to meet Manas. She is upset and angry. He tells her that Manas is not himself and is very influenced by Riya. He is not ready to listen to anything. But he did say that he, Abhi, should not come in between Manas and Simran. Simran tells Abhi that he should not have gone there. Abhi says that he wanted to help solve the problem. But Simran says that she does not want to solve the problem.

Manas with Sonu are visiting Urmila at the jail. She asks him how are things. He says everything is ok. His cell rings, he moves away to take the call. Urmila asks Sonu whether there is any problem between Simran and Manas. Sonu tells her that he does not know exactly but they were arguing a few days ago. Urmila asks him to tell Simran to come and meet her at the earliest.

Simran is in her office again thinking of what Manas had told her about her interference in Abhi's life. She again starts weeping. Her phone rings and it is Sonu. He tells her to go and meet Urmila as soon as possible. She agrees.

Simran is in the prison to meet Urmila. Urmila comes out. They greet each other. Simran asks her if everything is ok. Urmila tells her that this is exactly what she wants to know. What is the problem between Manas and Simran. Manas is not even going to the hospital. Simran says nothing is wrong. Urmila disagrees. She tells her that small things can never come between them, so it has to be something important. Why will Simran not tell her. Simran says that Manas has changed. Urmila tells her that whether she tells her anything or not, but she is beginning to understand the reason for the change in Manas. And if what she thinks is right, she has no problems with this reason for his change. Everyone has their needs and she can no longer fulfill his needs. He has done what best he could do for her, and has the right to lead his life the way he wants. Simran tells Urmila not to worry. Urmila tells her that how can she not worry when Simran's and Manas's friendship is breaking up. Simran must save this relationship and must take the first step.

Simran is back in her office and sends a SMS to Manas saying that they should meet and talk. Manas deletes the message. Abhi calls up Simran and asks her whether she spoke to Manas. She says she sent him an SMS but he has not responded. He asks her to call but she refuses. She says that she took the first step and she is not going to do anything further and has a lot of work. She puts down the phone.

Neha asks Abhi whether Simran put down the phone. He says yes. Neha is irritated at Simran for this behaviour. Abhi tells her to take care of herself and not to become part of this tension. At the same time he is wondering what was it that Manas told Simran that caused this rift.

Manas is sitting in deep thoughts. Riya comes in and sits on the sofa arm. She tells him that Sonu is crying. Why did he scold him so much and he should not take out his frustrations on him. Sonu should be the most important person for him. Manas is the whole world to him while Manas' world is very big. He gets a call from the hospital and gives instructions over the phone and tells them that he is not going to come tomorrow either. Riya asks him why and he tells her that he has resigned.

There Simran is reading his resignation letter and is upset.

Riya is telling Manas that Simran wont accept his resignation letter.

Simran is in a mood of her own and accepts the resignation letter. She writes 'I accept' and signs the letter and has a vengeful look on her face.

If he was this passionate about his relation with Urmilla,poor girl would not have been seduced by that good for nothing scum Ashwin and serving jail term.

thanks for the update arti. its very sad that simran acepted manas's resignation without even talking to him on that. looks like simran does feel guilty of what has pointed art her and is just trying avoid confrontatin with manas so that she doesnt have to listen to further asccusations which she knows re valid. i striongkly feel simran is damn lonely and is being driven by her loneliness to do these interferences in abhi's marital life. its time simran finds a psrtner for herself and gets her life back on track.

I think Manas is overreacting over a trivial issue. I mean he too has adviced simran on several occasions. Simran has listened to him. If simran does the same thing...whats the big deal...and what has their problems to do with resigning from hospital. Funny... I dont get the plot at all. They are making a mountain of a small mole. The serial has lost its charm. There is this Neha, sometimes she is so sweet to simran, sometimes very understanding about abhi's and simran's relationship, sometimes overreacting and sometimes totally insecure..Gosh, we are taken for a ride.

That is exactly what i thought Minnie. If he was so passionate about urmila then she would have not been so insecure about his relationship with simran nor she would have got trapped in ashwin's vicious plans.

Why so much change with Riya's entry. May be because she is a person who can really deliver what she says like she is very dynamic and he admires her but her never admired urmila. Until know he seems to be admiring simran and now the focus has changed to Riya.

ya manas could have handled this situation in a calm manner. He has helped simran take some important decisions in life earlier. He could have told simran what he thought of her in a different way. Manas has changed a lot. I dont think he is right in breaking such a good friendship he had with simran on these lines. They should have sat and talked the matter out.
