Update for Dec.16, 2005

Simran is shocked that Abhi doubts Sid. Abhi tries to rationalise with her saying that Sid is at an age where it is easy to lose control over oneself and perhaps that is what happened with Sid too. He also hopes that Simran's faith in Sid is true.

On the other hand, at home Urmila is shattered at the developments and her past fears surface. She is unable to forget her time and suffering at prison and is compelled to ask Sid whether in a weak moment he was swept away with emotion and took advantage of the girl. Sid re-assures her that he is innocent.

Next day the police come to Astha General Hospital and inspect Sid's cabin, which is in total disarray and where they find hair and a piece of torn skirt and a broken showpiece. The police show the photo of the girl to the staff but no one admits to have seen her before. After the police leave, Yash takes the receptionist and one nurse aside and asks them why they lied to the police and by doing so they were not helping Sid but getting into deeper trouble themselves and convinces them to go and tell the truth to the police. Sid tries to tell the police that he is innocent but the inspector tells him that they will have to wait for the report on the samples. The girls go to the police station later and tell the truth to the Inspector in charge.

Simran tells the police Commissioner that Sid is innocent and is being framed and she trusts him completely. The Commissioner assures her that if that is the case then nothing will happen to Sid. Urmila feels that the girl definitely has some help from someone in the hospital. Simran is surprised at the entire goings on at the hospital since she lost her eyesight.

Sid feels guilty of putting the rest of the family through all the trauma and Sia is sympathetic and tells him to keep the faith.

Simran is in her cabin with Urmila, Saakshi and Sid when the police come to arrest Sid on the basis of the report of the evidence samples taken from Sid's cabin. Sid is surprised at the results and keeps saying that he is innocent. All are shocked.
