I dont think she has faced any problem atall in her life. She got a huge support from her dad, friends, family, sister, pranay, mumbai police and the list never ends. If you compare urmila, she actually faced lot of problems in her life. Just by making one mistake she had to leave manas, her son and had to spent 18 years in jail. That grief and pain is not atall comparable with what simran has seen and especially with lot of support simran had from somany people. No one talks about urmila.
Anandi is another great example of how a character should be. She loved abhi and simran so much and she lost her life while she was dealing with their stupid marriage problem. Otherwise she would have been spending her happy life with her husband and kids. Her pain and torture while she was pregnant is much more than what simran has seen and Anandi's pain was simply because of a failure lovestory of abhi and simran. Though its abhi's mistake simran also responsible for it. No one talks about anandi's pain.
Sometimes I feel as if everyone in this serial is suffering because of simran's problems/mistakes and she behaving as if she is a kinda super-duper lady. How rediculous her character with somuch selfishness and behaving as if she is scarifying her entire life. She just trusts anyone who talks sweet and gives her couple of sweets and she calls herself as a matured and everybody else in the soap say she is matured matured matured. And then she ends up in stupid problems like power failure or no water or no milk kinda.
I dont know what maturity is but I dont want to be matured if simran is the defenition of maturity.
Its a stupid story & her problems are so stupid.
I would say she is luckiest person on the earth for having a great dad, friends, sister as everybody is with her whenever there is a problem in her life including the director. B'coz director shows only the simran's problems forgetting about everyone else.
Hmmm, good points!! Very good points indeed!! I love Anandi's character myself - very much so.. I also agree that Urmila's losing her son was very very unfair and to me Manas was very insensitive at that point (when she was in jail and he decided to go to US alongwith Sonu without so much as consulting her, but I won't start a discussion on that here and go away from the original topic. LOL). But here we are talking of the natural problems which Simran faced. All the deaths that she faced was not in her hands, Rahul's death, her MIL-'s torture, her mom's death, Anandi's death (no, I blame Anandi's mother in this more than anyone else, she had made SImran take a kasam the day before outside the court on her daughter Aastha (Actually Sia's) name that she would never ever keep in touch with Anandi), Kavitha's death, SIa's kidnapping, Abhi not coming to the altar the second time, Aastha's death, her losing her eye sight and the list goes on. As for Anandj, she did her duty by sticking up to the truth and not her mom's crooked ways..Kudos to Anandi for that. WHat kind of a mother was Abhi's then to side with her son's affair instead of guiding him on the right path! Half of the Abhi-Simran problems were because of Abhi's mom, in my opinion. True, Ajai Sinha has given an overdoze of Simran's problems to the audience and that becomes sick (I think we can put the serial in the Guinness book of World Records for the number of deaths) but then he does not concentrate on too many other characters because she is the main protaganist! He did concentrate on Anandi though and I remember a whole discussion on that in Yahoo Groups last year.. I agree a few problems were Simran's own making but not all all of them..I also agree that she has a great family and great support but because of that we cannot underestimate her problems or say she had a problem-free life. I know I would have gone crazy if I had to face so many deaths of close ones and so many calamities in real life - though I too have a very supportive family.. Some of the problems were just not in her hands. My apologies if I hurt anyone on this. Just my view points..
