She was FABULOUS yesterday.....unlike most portrayals of blind people that involve doses of overacting and melodrama (including the much acclaimed Rani in Black!), Nikki was bang on target with her performance....her desperation, helplessness and, yet, her love for her family shone through so brilliantly!!!!!!!!!!!!! I loved the scene when she places her hand on ABhi's lip to shush his anguish when he realizes that she is blindddddd!!!! Her character was evident throughout!!!!

It's quite amusing to watch some of her critics call her 'insecure'....😕...lolzzzz.....if anything, she is the most realistic performer these days!!!!!

It's amazing to watch the on-screen chemistry Varun and Nikki share.....here are two thorough professionals who might hate each other off-screen but, as Abhi and NIKKI, formt he BEST ZEE TV couple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

👏

Kit

PS: A special note to Upasana and the lady who plays Shaguna....both of them were brilliant!!!

Simran acted horribly when she became blind!!! The director has no idea how to produce a suspenseful show. For the past two shows we've been watching Abhi and the rest of the family lie to Simran about Astha. Good work idiots. The story is dragging. Simran is not portrayed as a strong willed woman. She's portrayed as a weak woman who has the most depressing life. Everything that happens to her is traumatic. This story hasn't become realistic.....it's just become stupider and stupider as the days go on.

Yup THUMBS UP! For Dr. Simran.

Her role in Astitva as a blind person is excellent. I just watched the video and this proved that Niki is a versatile actress and I'm amazed with her acting skills which naturally flows and melts my heart.

Correct Simran and Abhi are the most loving and romantic couple on screen. Dr.Simran is so much attached to Abhi and at this state Abhi just cannot bear the fact that Simran had loss her eyesights.

I agree. They seem to project a real bond that is common with older couples who have lived a lifetime together. They relate to each other very well. I think Abhi should show more emotion for Astha's death though. It seems he is only overwhelmed with Simran's blindness.

AS for Simran's acting, the scene where she called for her father and he came into the room, realising she was blind. He hugged her and gave little kisses on her cheeks all the while both were crying. Gosh..that was so sad...very nice emotional scene without going overboard (unlike Sia's scene where she broke down for Astha).

Dr Simran played the part of the blind woman extremely well and with brilliance. She is a gifted artist and I hope that after Astiva, we could see her on the big screen.
