Hi Vazz... let me stick to this name. The reason I popped from my seat seeing your name is bcoz u wished me luck for the John Abraham case...LOL just kidding. Its gr8 to know that you are a software professional too. Here are my questions:

1. Were you born and brought up in US or you were in India and then settled there?

2. What are your qualifications? You may wish to ignore this ques if its too personal. I am a software professional too (now taken up Technical Writing and working with a software company) and so wanted to know what are the degree levels in US for Comp Sc.

3. Do you also sit up late in the office when the deadlines approach?

4. Which movies do you prefer: Desi or Videshi 😊 and which are your fav ones?

Now the most imp ques:

5. Will I get a job in your company?...LOL...this was supposed to be a bad joke. Just kiddin...I'm happy to be in India.

I will bounce back once I have more for you. Hope you enjoy the spotlight till its on you and beyond.

1. Were you born and brought up in US or you were in India and then settled there? I was brought up in B'lore. Marriage brought me to the states.

2. What are your qualifications? You may wish to ignore this ques if its too personal. I am a software professional too (now taken up Technical Writing and working with a software company) and so wanted to know what are the degree levels in US for Comp Sc.

I do not find it very personal... I wanted to be C.A, and took up Business Studies in 11th and 12th and was hoping for the foundation course of CA to get commenced that year, but it did not and I ended up doing B.Com. And did my 2 year program from NIIT, B'lore. When I took up the job in in the IT field 7 yrs ago here, in the US, the field was booming and they did not care if I had MS or not. Even to this day, I think experience is given more importance here than the MS. That is my personal opinion.

3. Do you also sit up late in the office when the deadlines approach?

I have been there, done that. I am not in the programming field anymore. I am into the functional aspects of the product and therefore do more of co-ordination work and of course we all now have the ability to work from home. I do not have to sit up late anymore, but odd hours of work are expected, as co-ordination would mean getting in touch with people from India too...

4. Which movies do you prefer: Desi or Videshi 😊 and which are your fav ones?

I watch both Desi and Videshi... mostly desi.. though. I see myself as a die-hard romantic and therefore would find me watching movies like You've got mail, Sleepless in Seattle, While you were sleeping.... Of course I like movies like Good will Hunting too. I need an element of romance in a movie to be able to watch it. Among the Hindi Movies, I have loved Silsila, Abhimaan, Lakshya(!!!), Dil chahta Hai, Hera Pheri. I cannot remember which of the latest ones, I can place in my list of favs.

Now the most imp ques:

5. Will I get a job in your company?...LOL...this was supposed to be a bad joke. Just kiddin...I'm happy to be in India.

I am planning on moving back to India. I know I would be happy there too.

I will bounce back once I have more for you. Hope you enjoy the spotlight till its on you and beyond

I hope so too.

Thanks Jen.

Okay, I'll jump right into questions😛

1) How do you like living overseas?

Not really. I am getting homesick and wishing that I can go back home. 😭 Waiting for my hubby's MS to get done.
2) How often do you miss India?

Everyday and especially when I am not be there for my loved ones, when they need me the most.
3) Which type of food do you prefer: mexican/chinese/indian?😊

the order would be Indian-Chinese-Mexican-Italian-American

4) What other television shows interest you, with the exception of Astitva?

Kashish seems to be interesting to me. I do not watch anything else. I cannot watch even AEPK, as it is bed time for the kids and I am not motivated to record and watch it. I did like KK for some time, but the charm is gone there too. I used to like Gubbare and would love to watch a story an episode kind of a serial.
5) Do you like to read and if so, what is your favorite book?

I have gotton off of the habit after kids... I need to start back on. I like books by Jefferey Archer, Robin Cook, PG Wodehouse, Jane Austen. I have not ventured into any other authors much. I have been buying books, but have not really started to read them. I loved reading Pride and Prejudice. Kane and Abel, I think is my favourite.
6) Are you an outgoing person, or are you more of an introvert?

I am an extrovert and love meeting people.

I'll mbe back with more questions😊

You sure can!!! 😊

Hi Neeta.
I was in the IT field too and then I had kids so I quit... 😉

I had my parents and parents-in-law help me a lot and of course hubby dear and I could keep my job. It was difficult to send my 18 mth old to a day care.. but I admire your courage to be a full time mom. I am not sure if I can be a full time mom.. I will run of patience in a minute 😔
* How old are your kids?

My son is 5 and my daughter is almost 3 ( in her words)
* How many siblings do u have?

None. I am an only child and thus a spoilt brat.😉
* Do u have any family here or all back home?

My husband's brother is in India and absolutely no plans of leaving India. No immediate family here. Have a couple of cousins, but not very close to them. So I would say I have all my family back home.
* Who is your fav. Bollywood and Hollywood actor.. and actresses too
😆

I cannot pinpoint an actor or actress.. I like Amitabh, SRK, Aamir Khan, Matt Damon, Robin Williams.

Amongst the actresses, I like Madhuri, Kajol. I miss them both. I have started to appreciate Rani Mukherjee. I do like Meg Ryan and Sandra Bullock too.
I think that's quite a lot for now....

Congrats for being member of the week !!!

Thank you so much.

If so,wud u have preferred a brother or sister?

Would u prefer ur kids to grow up in the States or in India?
What do u really think of Dr.Simran's character in Astitva?

How many countries have u visited so far?
Which is your favourite among all?

Hey Vazz.. Congratulations for being the member of the week.. 😊

So, one of your favorites is Pride and Prejudice.. it's my favorite story and movie.. Have you seen the movie which was released in 95? Starring Colin Firth & Jennifer Ehle? it was really good..

You said you do buy books even if you don't have the time to read them.. So, how many books do you have?

What are your son & daughter's names?

What is the one incident in your life that you wish it didn't happen?

Will think of more and will be back later.. 😊
