I want to cry. Every single time 2pm did something without Jay I felt bad but at least there was hope of Jay coming back. If Jaebeom never comes back I don't think I can be a 2pm fan.

Jaebeom the scapegoat to save JYPE?

JYPE used Jaebum as a scapegoat in order to keep their company's image clean.

- Jaebum arrived in Korea in January of 2005. The Myspace comments were made February of 2005. In that one month, the only Korean society that he could have had access to is JYP Entertainment.

- In essence, Korea = JYPE.

- In order to protect their company's image, JYPE changed the meaning of Jaebum's comments regarding his 'slave contract,' originally set for 10 years, into comments that were belittling Korea.

- Jaebum's slave contract was set for 10 years, but with much persuasion and discussion, it was changed into 8 years, and then 7.

- Jaebum's comments regarding Rain leaving the company and the controversial $12 statement was later found to be part of the lyrics from D-12's song. He used it as a way to express his feelings towards the company.

- In other words, Jaebum did not belittle Koreans in his Myspace comments but belittle the Koreans around him - which could only be JYPE.

- JYPE found this to be extremely aggravating and thought of him as an inconsiderate boy, which was an effective enough reason to take him out of the company.

- JYPE then released statements pushing the blame on Jaebum and hoarding public opinion into thinking that these comments were made towards all of Korea, not JYPE and his slave contract.

- After Jaebum left, JYPE immediately came out with the statement saying that they are completely against 'slave contracts' and are working with the Fair Trade Commission.

- In the official homepage for 2PM, Park Jinyoung states that Jaebum was 'already that kind of kid.' One can easily feel the pented anger he has towards him.

- In Golden Fishery, Park Jinyoung specifically states that what Jaebum did was wrong and out of line.

Why would JYPE go this far to hide Jaebum's slave contract? Why? Because when you first think of JYPE, you think of a humane company. You think of Rain and Park Jinyoung's tears, you think of the love between the GOD members, you think of the Wonder Girls, Lim Junghee...

But with Jaebum, the secret was completely exposed to the public.

Think about it for a moment. An employee in a company was found to have a diary with a bunch of the company's secrets written inside it. It's only definite that the president will look at it and immediately fire him. If he doesn't fire him, he will be known to the world as a horrible president. Think about it. ^^

- Jaebum's leave was finalized because of pressure from Samsung regarding their CF contract. In order to save the contract, JYPE had to wash themselves of the controversy completely. [ Previously translated for 2OD. ]

- People that personally know Jaebum have come out with statements on F***b*** stating that Jaebum was forced to withdraw from the group in a conference that decided his fate.

- Fans realized that Korea = JYPE. JYPE had put the spotlight on 'Gays, hate,' instead of the 'contract.'

- JYPE pushed Jaebum to leave since he belittled the company, not Korea.

Hello, this is JYP Entertainment.

Last September, 2PM's member Park Jaebeom announced his withdrawal from the group and returned to Seattle after a message he wrote on the internet during his trainee days caused backlash. We will now reveal what course of action will be taken.

Although the message that became an issue last September upset many people, it was written during Jaebeom's tough trainee days on his personal page. At the time, the company agreed with Jaebeom when he asked to take some time for self-reflection. We did not think that this meant that he would stop all activities in the entertainment industry or that he would leave 2PM.

The company had the option of forcing Park Jaebeom to stay and continue promoting with a 7 member 2PM. However, although netizens exaggerated Jaebeom's words through mistranslations, his words still had the potential to hurt many people. Because of this, we did not want to endorse Jaebeom and force him to continue promotions because it might have damaged his image permanently in the public eye, and so we agreed with his decision to return to the States.

When a celebrity makes a mistake and does not apologize for his / her mistake or if the company endorses that celebrity, the public view of that celebrity becomes more negative and it was in the company's thoughts that letting Jaebeom withdraw from the group for self-discipline would be good.

Thankfully, after Park Jaebeom left the country, an outpour of support gave him another chance.

After Jaebeom's leave, we did not release any additional information because we did not want the public to be influenced by malicious sources. Since Park Jaebeom's return to Seattle, the company has searched for vocal, dance, and acrobatics teachers, and the company producer JYP went personally to Seattle to talk to these teachers and formulate a program.

All recent CF's, performances, promotions and contracts that have involved 2PM have been made with the mindset that the group would eventually have all 7 members present after Park Jaebeom's return and so we waited for his comeback.

In November, 2009, the company proposed that Park Jaebeom make his comeback through an album that would have been released this year in April, and Park Jaebeom had agreed to these plans. The plans called for Jaebeom's return to Korea on the third week of February and a press conference would have been held before promotions as a 7 member 2PM began.

Because of the support he received from the public after his withdrawal from 2PM, Park Jaebeom's return would have improved 2PM's efforts and most importantly we would have been able to receive the complete support of the fans once again. The company and the group had high hopes.

However, if the news of Jaebeom's comeback were revealed too quickly, we felt that the public would once again be negative. Although the fans criticized the lack of information from us, we did not reveal any plans for the comeback.

On December 22nd, 2009, Jaebeom confessed to Jung Wook, a representative, that he had done something wrong during the Again and Again promotions. Apparently, it was far more serious than his MySpace controversy.

The six other members were not notified then as they were busy with year-end activities. On January 3rd, 2010, we all sat down for a discussion and came to an agreement 3 days later that it was no longer possible for Park Jaebeom to continue activities along with 2PM.

We thus decided to terminate our exclusive contract with Jaebeom.

Although we wanted to release this information as soon as possible, Park Jaebeom's personal situation prevented us from revealing this information until now and we hope you understand.

We would like to emphasize that all the information above is true in its entirety.

We are revealing these details through this message now because if we had lied and gave false information, we would have lost any trust that we held with the fans.

To 2PM and all the people who waited for Park Jaebeom's return, we apologize deeply and are sorry to have to reveal this sad news to everyone.

The company and the remaining 6 members will prepare even harder and greet you with a better image.

JYPE announced that the members came to an agreement that they can no longer work with Park Jaebum and has agreed to his withdrawal.

- January 8th, 2010 Junsu leaves a comment on his Cyworld that the scent of Daegu is amazing. How can he say this two days after deciding that one of their members can never return?

- January 8th, 2010 Junsu leaves a Cyworld commeont on Chansung's Cyworld stating that he is looking for delicious places to eat. Once again, how can he do this days after agreeing to Jaebum's withdrawal?

JYPE announced that on the 22nd of December, Park Jaebum called President Jung Wook and made a shocking confession regarding a personal mistake.

- December 31st, 2009 JYPE makes an announcement on 2PM's official fan cafe specifically stating, "We would like to share this happiness with OUR LEADER, Jaebum, who couldn't be with us together on this stage but is always with us in heart."

JYPE announced that on the 3rd of January, the members were notified of Jaebum's confessions. After hearing of the confessions, the members decided that they could no longer work with Park Jaebum on the 6th.

- January 4th, 2010 2PM had an advertisement recording schedule.

- January 5th, 2010 Kwon & Wooyoung were spotted at Changdam-dong cafe eating green tea ice cream.

- January 6th, 2010 JYPE announces that all of the members agree to Jaebum's withdrawal.

- February 14~15th, 2010 During Khun's tour in Thailand, Khun states that the person he is most jealous of is Jaebum.

Schedule of Again & Again promotions are released, proving that there is no time for Jaebum to have possibly made a 'personal mistake.'

- January 12th, 2010 Fan account is released stating that Jaebum is practicing his vocals.

A fan cafe is set up for fans wanting to participate in sending gifts to Jaebum. They created a special ID for Jaebum.

- January 23rd, 2010 There is records of Park Jaebum logging on to the cafe.

- February 6th, 2010 Fan account of Jaebum's bboying competition reveals that he signed an autograph stating "2PM Jaebum."

100226 Fans think 2PM betrayed Jaebeom - Want Taecyeon & Wooyoung to leave FO2/SSJG

2PM fans are furious at 2PM's other six members.

JYPE, the company of popular group 2PM, publicly announced in late afternoon of February 25th, that Jaebum, who has returned to the US after leaving 2PM, has officially withdrew and ended his contract. After, the fans can't hide their disappointment towards 2PM's other six members: Wooyoung, Taecyeon, Nickhun, Chansung, Junho, and Junsu.

The message announced, "From the shock after hearing about Jaebum's personal mistake, all six members stated on January 6th, after 3 days of distress, that they think it will be hard to work as 2PM with Park Jaebum. Fans think that the members have turned their backs on their leader Jaebum.

Furious 2PM fans posted messages on websites of shows such as SBS 'Good Sunday ' Family Outing 2,' KBS 2TV 'Seung Seung Jang Goo,' SBS 'Inkigayo, etc., requesting for the members to leave the shows they have main roles in.

These responses are similar to the responses fans showed last September. When Jaebum left and returned to Seattle, some fans asked the 2PM members, "Why didn't you stop him?" "Why can't the company employees persuade him to stay?" showing resent and sadness. The fans stated, "We can't acknowledge 2PM with only 6 members" and held boycotts.

It seems that with this happening, there will be a lot of changes with 2PM and their fans. This is because after September, there have been continuous appeals that 2PM will always be 7 members with situations such as the other members mentioning Jaebum's name at the awards shows. Also, with Jaebum's permanent withdrawal, they will have to substantially rebuild 2PM's image with only 6 members. Fans will probably also have mixed opinions.

In the afternoon of February 25th, through their website, JYPE publicly announced Jaebum's termination of his contract. JYPE revealed about the withdrawal reason, "Park Jaebum is leaving because of his personal mistake. Even though we can't reveal what the mistake is, this issue is way worse than the problem that led to Jaebum leaving the team last September and way more serious."

100226 Fans trash JYPE building, activities planned for following days

As soon as the notice was confirmed on the 25th, fans rushed to the JYPE building and trashed it by throwing mayo, ketchup, and eggs. On the 26th, fans littered the building with ripped up pictures and CD's of the 2PM members and have even put bundles of chrysanthemum flowers at the entrance. (TN: Chrysanthemums and other white flowers signify death in Korea.)

The fans that agreed to speak with journalists explained the signifiance of the chrysanthemums, stating, "It means that without Jaebum, 2PM fans are dead."

Many have since withdrawn from the official fan cafe of 2PM and have stated, "Should 2PM continue to promote themselves with 6 members, we will no longer be a 2PM fan. We will become Jaebum's personal fans or 2PM anti fans."

On the day of the actual conference, the 27th, the fans are expected to take drastic measures.

Fans will leave white chrysanthemums at the entrance, explaining, "At the time, we were planning to put red roses in an effort to encourage a positive result to the conference. However, with the recent notification of Jaebum's complete withdrawal, we have changed the flowers to white chrysanthemums."

There is also a private protest set for the 28th. Fans have stated, "We do not have enough time to request permission for a full out protest because the notification was put up too suddenly. We will be holding a private protest instead."

I know many people are upset over Jaebeom not returning to 2PM but I don't see where 2PM is at fault in this? They had the same hope too as us for Jay to return and by becoming their antis, it's the same with Jay's scandal - like the way Jay left 2PM because of the scandal thanks to antis, now Jay's fans are accusing 2PM for the reason of his leaving and demand that they have no right to be in 2PM without him?? When in fact 2PM were also like victim in this

this is sad. Taec and Woo didn't do anything. They are probably in the same stage as the fan only worse because they lost a brother and their hands are tied.

Though I love hottest for being persistent, they need to think with a cool head.

I just want Jay back at the moment.😭😭 I feel lame saying this specially because my most favorite members are Woo, Taec and Junho., but I can't support 2pm without jay anymore.

This is from 2oneday and I made me cry.

Those lines got to me. If 1 person can save 6 people then 6 people can save 1.

On the day of the contract termination announcement, the official fanclub lost 14% of its members, dropping from 329,000 to 283,000. Currently, the official cafe has 222,186, making a 106,814 loss, or a 32% drop – yes, a third of the official fancafe in the matter of two days.

It's heartbreaking to see the 2PM fanbase breaking apart like this en masse. Do you think JYPE & 2PM had it coming?

JYP, needs to change his PR people or something. Honestly, its become beyond ridiculous and childish. If you don't like them anymore, then just leave them alone. There is no need to bring out "scandalous" pictures, and all those other kind of shenanigans to destroy the boys. I mean the boys worked so hard and now everything is turning to dirt. I don't want to blame everything on the anti-fans because seems like some of boys were being rude at the conference, well thats what I ~heard~. So, I can understand why they are angry, they just want answers. Anyways, Good Luck! to them. I don't even follow 2PM but seriously this just bends my mind.
