Chapter 10

It is Arjun’s apartment. Did they hear it correct? Riya was living in Arjun’s apartment. How?

Sameer, Chotu and Shree were shocked to know this. But nevertheless, they were happy or maybe relaxed.

Sameer had somehow known that his friend was totally into their ex-research specialist. He had seen, how her death affected him. He had also seen how he would keep looking at Riya’s pic in the office when he would think no one is seeing them. And how he would just smile or talk with her pictures whenever there was something related to Roshini’s case. Sameer had seen him smiling before but that was when they were friends in all senses, when Roshini was a part of their life, his life. After Roshini’s death, he had seen him smiling just in front of Riya. And now when she was back, she was with him, Sameer was happy. He was relaxed to know that his friend wasn’t alone anymore.

Chotu and Shree weren’t feeling any different. They were glad to know their friend was fine. But more than that they were relaxed to know that she was with their Arjun sir. They knew about her love for him. And they were happy to know that they were together. He was there for her when they weren’t.

D.I.G. sir had always known there was something special in Riya’s heart for Arjun. The way she had made his mission hers. His pain hers. His enemy hers. He always knew she felt for him. But knowing Arjun’s love for his wife he never thought much. Though he once talked to Riya about it but her answer amazed him. She had just smiled at him and said, “who says I love Arjun Suryakant Rawte, sir? I might have started him loving now, but my first love is his love for Roshini ji.” And he knew, she didn’t expect anything from Arjun, not even his support let alone love. She just loved him, for he was everything she had.

DCP had also known about Riya’s thought for Arjun and his love. He was there with D.I.G. sir when they were talking to Riya but on the other hand, he knows Arjun too well. He knew his boy had again fallen for a girl and a beautiful girl with a pure soul yet a warrior within her. He had always wished for his happiness and after talking to Riya he knew his son didn’t make a mistake. He knew she was the one for him. He just wished for them to be together, today, tomorrow and the rest of their life.

All of them wished for the best. Best for both of them. They had seen both of them suffering alone, at different places. They knew only they had the power to heal each other. And they were going to make sure both of them get what they deserve.

Soon, the three of them went back to their houses not wanting to make it awkward for Riya and Arjun by going to his place and meet her. The rest of the day rolled off for the three of them as they just spent their time thinking. While Sameer thought about Arjun, his friendship and now Arjun’s love for Riya, Shree and Chotu were in their own world. Shree was still contemplating; did he make a right choice by being away from Riya? Did he jeopardize his friendship with her for the sake of his love for Liza? And he knew he was guilty. But again, he was confused. Confused as to how should he handle this? Chotu on the other hand wanted nothing but to apologize to Riya. He knew he did hurt her really bad. He had decided to check upon her if not personally then at least on call. He just wished she forgave them.

Arjun and Riya slept through the evening and the dinner time. After a peaceful slumber, Riya was the first one to wake up. She opened her eyes, confused as felt someone caging her and holding her tightly embraced. She looked at the person only to find Arjun still sleeping peacefully. Slowly getting up she looked at the alarm clock which showed the time as 2:05 AM midnight. As she tried to get out of the bed, she was pulled by a force back to bed. Looking up she found Arjun looking at her confused as to ask where was she going at that time of the night.

Riya: I am up sir. We have slept through the dinner time.

That was when Arjun realized that indeed they had been sleeping longer than they had thought to.

Arjun: Oh yes. Umm…let’s eat something. You must be hungry too.

Both of them even after knowing that they had slept together, they had so much to say, they weren’t yet ready to say it out loud. Hence, ignoring their former state they both got out of the bed and moved into their respective bathrooms to wash their faces and then came out to the dining table. As they didn’t want to cook at midnight, Arjun took out some instant noodles and both of them had that.

Both of them decided not to ponder over their closeness and thus didn’t talk about it. Soon the day rolled off and came the last day of their holiday.

Arjun and Riya went out to take some of the things that Riya required before rejoining in ETF. In the evening she also got her rejoining letter from the commissioner’s office and it said she was to join the next day.

After the tiring day both Arjun and Riya again went into Riya’s room and slept while talking to each other as their hands were left entangled. None thinking about their behaviour. They just enjoyed their peace, their home.

The girls had gone back to their own houses after spending time with each other the last day. They still had their doubts but they went back and got prepared to be back on duty from the next day and also to meet the special lady. The were pretty curious to know as to why that single girl held so much of importance.

After going to bed they just waited for the next day to peep out and clear out their misunderstandings and suspicion.

They had their own set of questions and apprehensions and they were waiting for answers.
