Chapter : The Confession.

Riya signaled her friends towards teachers and all of them moved towards them. Riya and her friends gave their slam book and moved away.

All the boys filled their slam and handed it to Arjun asking him to fill it.

Sid signaled Seema to meet him and she moved to meet him.

Seema : What the hell is wrong with your friend Sid. IS he waiting for Christmas? Today is the last day of our school and if today he doesn't speak to Riya, I cannot help you any further.

Sid : Even I am angry with him. Eric has a plan. I have a plan. Is it possible to bring Riya near the mango tree after 30mins. I will ask Arjun to meet her there.

Seema agreed and they shake their hands and part their ways.

On the the other side.

Eric: Here Arjun , all of us have completed the slam only you are pending, please fill it up and give it to Riya.

Arjun takes the slam book and sits in a chair. Sid signals the rest of them and they move away.

Sid : Seema is very angry.

All the other boys look as if he has lost it.

Sam : Ok so what should we do. It must be your fault.

Eric: True. Go and pacify her.

Sid (shouting) : Stop it guys. She is not angry with me , she is angry with Arjun. She was asking when arjun is going to confess his feeling with Riya. I asked her to bring riya to the mango tree after 30mins. We have to some how bring arjun to that place. We still have 20mins.

Eric: Wow Sid .. Great plan. If he doesn't agree we all will drag him there. I am getting irritated with his behavior.

Vijay: Chill Eric.. Me alone is enough to handle him.

Saying this Vijay showed his muscle power and all of them wolf-whistled. They turned towards arjun who was writing the slam book and moved towards him.

After 30mins :

Riya: Seema where are you taking me.

Seema : Riya, I wanted to talk to you alone.

Riya sensed some seriousness n her voice and kept quiet.

On the boys side :

Arjun completed the slam book when suddenly all of his gang appeared before him with determination in their eyes.

Sam: Come Arjun , get up. We need to take a group photo.

Arjun: More how many photos you wanna take.

Eric: group photo means -> Only SAVE Group photo not with entire class.

Arjun knew they were upto something and also knew asking wont help so just followed them. They reached the mango tree before riya. All of them stood in front of Arjun.

Vijay : Arjun today is our last day in school. We all want to ask you something.

Arjun: Whatz up guys. Any issue?

Eric: What does Riya mean to you. Please tell us the truth.

Sam: Please Arjun.

Arjun: Riya i mean i don't know. As you all know she is very reserved and very composed. I don't know when I stated observing her. At this age world might call it infatuation, but I feel something for her.

Sid: Today's is the right time arjun. Tell your feelings to her.

Arjun : Its not so easy as you all think. I am at least happy she is talking to me. What after my confession I loose her.

All the boys looked at each other and then saw Riya and Seema coming.

Vijay: See Riya is coming. Talk to her.

Saying this all moved out. Seema reached the mango tree and saw all of them in some group discussion. She stopped little away from the tree. Riya was confused with her behavior and looked at her and the group of boys who were in some discussion.

Seema: Riya please listen to what they have to tell you and then decide. I am always there with you. Talk to me after talking to Arjun.

Riya: What happend?

Seema just hugged her and waited for the boys to join her. The boys moved towards Riya and Seema.

Sid: Riya, Thanks for coming. We all would like to talk to you once you are done talking with Arjun. Please don't make any decisions. Just listen to him.

Vijay: We will meet after the lunch in the same place.

Saying this all of them left her and arjun. In this entire conversation arjun was observing her. Riya moved towards arjun.

Riya: Hi Arjun. What happened? Why they are behaving so strangely.

Arjun(moved little closer to her) : Riya i i. i wanted to talk to you.

Riya: Yes arjun tell me.

Arjun: After hearing this whatever your decision is, it will never change our friendship.

He takes a hand and this surprises riya.

Riya: Ar--Arjun..

Arjun: Please let me tell you. I don't know when what happened. I started observing you. Your calm and composed nature just like my mother. Your smartness, your dare to fight against bad, helping nature, loving everyone. I don't know when I started falling in love with these qualities of yours. Somehow I gather all the courage to just let you know about my feelings. After today we will be out into the real world, who knows when we will meet.

I love you Riya. I love you from when how why I don't know. All I know is I love you.

Riya knew something was up but she never expected arjun to tell this to her.

Arjun: Riya.

Riya: I knew something was going on but you really surprised me. I like you arjun but I have lot of responsibilities on me. I cannot think of a life with you or anybody as of now. Hear me out once.

Their conversation was interrupted by announcement for lunch.

Riya : Let us meet after lunch and bring your friends as well.

Saying this she left from there, but she could not hide her tears from Arjun who at the moment was confused as to why she was crying.

I loved you with my everything.
But you left me with a life long needing.

I gave you all my smile

Now its been a while

I hid my pain
But everything went into drain
I was full of soul
Now my life is on a roll.

Dreamt of a new world with you
Now living alone as time flew.

Chapter : The Haunting Past

The lunch was a very joyful as well as sorrowful event. Though all the food items were very tasty but the students were gloomy thinking this would be the last meal they will be having in this campus with their friends.

Principal: Thank you dear junior students for taking so much effort and making this event so joyful for your seniors. I would like to thank all the staff for supporting them. Now we will take a break and the we will assemble here at 4:00 PM for the actual send-off function. I have made a special request and this is a surprise for all senior students.

Soon after the speech riya turns towards the Arjun who nods his head. Riya gathers all her friends around her.

Seema : What have you decided Riya?

All the others : What to decide?

Seema : Arjun has feelings for Riya, but i am not sure why she is not accepting it.

Other girls :What? How could you both hide such a thing from us?

Riya: Please stop it. I myself did not know until he told me today. I just don't know what to tell. I have asked him to meet near the mango tree. Let us go. I want to talk to him along with his friends and with my friends beside me. I just cant re-visit that part of my life again alone . Will you all be with me?

All her friends don't know her past which she has hidden except Seema. She looks very pained at Riya and nods her head. All others see this silent communication and also agree to support Riya.

They all move towards the mango tree.

On the Boys Side :

Soon after her sees Riya leaving the auditorium with her friends, he gathers all of them outside and moves towards the mango tree.

Eric: So what happened/ Did you tell her.

Sid : Please tell me you confessed your love to Riya.

Vijay: Should i hold you and shake u up t speak now.

Sam : Stop it all of you. Tell me Arjun.

Arjun who was till now pacing and looking at the steps which leads to auditorium looked at his fiends who are on the verge of breaking down.

Arjun: Relax guys. I told her. I told her i lover her. She just looked at me and was about to say something but then stopped hearing the lunch announcement. She asked me to meet here with her and my friends.
But she could not hide her eyes from me which were in tears. Is she shocked? Sad? Did she not like me the way I like her?

Sid: Lets us wait and hear her side of explanation. Don't jump into conclusions Arjun.

All other agree and they settle on the stone bench waiting for Riya and her friends. After sometime they see Riya and her friends coming towards the tree.

Arjun: She is coming.

Riya and her friends reach the boys. Riya decides to sit on one of the bench next to Arjun. The rest of them stand in front of them just to keep an eye if any other people are coming.

Seema: Arjun, Sam, Sid, Vijay, Eric . I kindly request to please hear out what Riya has to say. Please don't judge her. Give her sometime.

Sid :What are you talking about. More what time these both need.

Arjun: Sid.. and he turns towards Riya.

Slowly he holds her palm and gives a gentle squeeze.

Riya turns towards Seema who places a hand on her shoulder and give a gentle squeeze. All this was seen by both their friends and were even more confused.

Riya: I know you prosed me Arjun. I should be the happiest girl to get your love. But before you decide your future with me please hear me out. I am Riya Mukerjee. My mom is Gayathri who was a police officer. My dad(with tears in her eyes) is Sachin and owns MG Textiles.

My parents was a love marriage. My dad's side accepted their relation. My mom used to be sincere in her duty. Though she used to face some threats in her professional life she made sure it never affected her personal life.

But fate had other plans. When i was 3yrs old my dad was murdered by some local goons. My mother's parents never accepted their marriage and soon when my dad died they came to take my mom with them,but the only condition was they should leave me behind.

Mom was shocked to hear this and broke all her ties with her family. My father's side supported her in growing up 3 of us. Me, my younger sister Tina and Dev my younger brother.

I have decided how to live my life Arjun. I want to join the same police force or equivalent force to punish them. I see them daily roaming around happily.

I would be lucky if knowing all this you accept me. If not I don't have any issues. Think about your family and then decide.

Till now all the others who were thinking what the matter would be were shocked to hear this. Arjun slowly made her stand and hugged her.

All of them were shocked since they were still in campus and anybody could walk out. Riya was shocked but then she needed this comforting hug. She too hugged Arjun and slow tears started pouring from her eyes.

All had tears in their eyes. After sometime Arjun released her

Arjun : I am so sorry Riya. I never meant to bring back your past. Its just since today is our last day in this campus and don't know when we will meet again in life, so thought of telling you about my feelings.

Riya: Its ok Arjun. I understand and believe me your confession did remind me how my mother was broken when her family disowned her.

I don't dislike you. I just need some time. Can you give me that. I want my family to accept you. I want your family to accept me. I cant loose my family just to be with you.

My grandparents, uncle aunt everybody in the house took care of us and never let my mother miss her family. But even till today she misses her family especially her mother. In future if a situation arises where I will have to choose between you and my family, I will choose my family. I want you also do to the same.

She turns towards everyone and continues

You all might be shocked but this is how I am. If there is a life with Arjun it would be with the consent of both family members. After all marriage is not a relation formed between two individuals but also between two families.

I am sorry if I am strong in this decision but neither now or in future this opinion of mine will change. I also have some responsibilities towards my family especially towards my younger brother who saw his dad only in photos while growing up.

We have time till today to enjoy this time. Lets enjoy today. Let us make our parents proud.

In all this commotion no one saw the school principal, and Arjun's and Riya's family. To say all were shocked would be an understatement.

A sudden movement from their peripheral made Seema turn her head and was shocked to see the crowd.

Seeing Seema moving all turned their head and all were even more shocked.
