Part 9

Nikita(blush):Wo..wo Dhruv proposed me last night.

Divya(squeal in happiness):What really..

She nods. They both hugs her. After sometime its time to leave. They settle themselve in bus and reach their home around 9 pm.

Riya's home

After reaching home Riya directly retire herself to bed being tired from journey. They already have dinner on their way in a hygienic restaurant.

Her body was tired but her mind was wide awake. She was terribly missing her mother and being far from Arjun made it worse. She picked up her phone to call Arjun but immediately ended call before any ring goes.

She took her earphones and connected it to her phone and played 'Tum Hi Aana'. The song which once used to break her down was now near to her heart. Whenever she missed her mother she listen to this song.

After being drifted to sleep she disconnected earphones and slept peacefully.

Next day

Arjun's home

He gets ready to go ETF. As usual he drops good morning message to Riya and wait for her reply.

Arjun:Riya to aa gayi hogi camp se wapas..office jaane ke liye ready bhi ho gayi hogi..

He was lost in his thoughts when his phone pings with notification. After reading Riya's message he smile heartily and calls her.

Riya's home

Riya was leaving for office when her phone vibrates indicating a message. She immediately opens it and smiles seeing Arjun's message. She immediately replies back.

Riya:Finally itne dino baad good morning.

She leaves home when suddenly her phone start ringing. It was Arjun calling her. She picks it up..

Riya:Hello Arjun sir..good morning..kaise hain aap.

Arjun:Hi Riya..mai thik hu..tum kaisi ho aur trip kaisa raha..

Riya:Trip bahut achha tha sir..bahut maza aya.

Arjun:Achhi baat hai..achha aaj shaam free ho to milogi?

Riya(smiles):Sure sir..aap mere ghar aa jaiyega.

Arjun:Ok..bye..have a good day.

Riya:You too..bye.

Call ends. After sometime both reach their office happily.

In ETF

Arjun was behaving nicely with his juniors making them surprised but they dont dare to ask him the reason so enjoyed his changed behaviour. After all their second-in-command dont behave this way daily.

Choree were surprised as well seeing Arjun so calm and happy. They thought his heart broke after knowing about Sameer Ayesha but here he is all happy and behaving linient with everyone.

Ayesha:Kya baat hai Juno..bahut khush lag rahe ho aaj..koi lottery lagi hai kya.

Arjun:Nahi..wo bas aaj subah se hi mood achha hai to bas socha ki aise hi rahu din bhar..

Ayesha:Chalo achha hai..fir tumhara hi nahi sabhi ka mood achha rahega.

All giggles while Arjun too smiles.

Arjun:Shree wo pichle case ki file khatam hui.

Shree(fearly):Wo..wo sir..thodi si reh gayi.. kal late ho gaya tha to..

Arjun:Oh..chalo koi baat nahi aaj karke dena..

Shree(shocked):Ji..ji sir.

Chotu(murmurs to Shree):Aaj Arjun sir ke achhe mood ne bacha liya nahi to aisi jagah transfer karte apna lappy dekhne ko taras jata..

Shree(murmurs):Haan yaar..mujhe to laga aaj to gaya mai..apni girlfriend se dur rehna hoga..

Chotu(murmurs):Lekin yaar mujhe laga Arjun sir udas hai kyunki Ayesha aur Rathod sir ek dusre se pyar karte hain.. to fir inki udasi aur khushi ka raaz kya hai..

Shree(murmurs):Or rather kaun hai..shayad koi ladki..ho sakta hai sir ka breakup ho gaya ho aur isiliye wo udas ho..ab patchup ho gaya hoga isiliye itne khush..

Chotu(murmurs):Hmm possible..

Rathod(yells):Shree Chotu agar aap dono ki important baate ho gayi ho to aap hume crime scene pe join kar sakte hain..

Choree:Sorry sir..yes sir..

They all leave for crime scene. Whole day ETF was busy in solving double murder case that they dont get personal time for themselves while Riya too have workload of two days research work and she dont get time to talk to Arjun. After all weekends dont give off to police officers.

Rathod:Baki kaam kal karenge..tum sab ja sakte ho.

Arjun directly go to Riya's home not being able to wait more.

Riya's home

Riya come home and gets fresh. She was having headache due to workload. Not having habit to keep work pending and now doing all of it at once took toll on her body as well as mind.

Bell rings making her groan. She mutter curses to the person and opens the door. Seeing Arjun there she get shocked and happy. She forgot about their evening plan.

Arjun:Aaj bahar khade rakhne ka irada hai.

Riya(comes out of trance):No sir..i am sorry..aiye na..

She give him side and he enters her home. Not feeling Riya behind him he turns and see her standing at door with her hand on forehead.

He hold her hand and make her sit on sofa and go to kitchen. Seeing this Riya panics and go behind him.

Riya:Sir aap ye kya kar rahe hain..baithiye na mai chai banati hu..

Arjun(pouring coffee powder):Riya hamare beech formaily kaisi..tum baitho aur Arjun special coffee enjoy karo..mai janta hu itna workload handle karne se tumhare sar me dard hota hai..jao ab..

She smiles and go outside. After sometime she feel coffee aroma and inhale freshly made coffee fragrance.

Riya:Khushboo to achhi hai iski..

Arjun:Pikar bhi dekho..

Riya picks up the cup and close her eyes inhaling its fragrance. She sips the coffee and opens her eyes to compliment Arjun but find him nowhere.

Suddenly she feels two hands on her forehead and looks up to see Arjun massaging her head.

Riya(feeling good):Thoda right me bhi..

Arjun:Ok mam..aur kuch

Riya:Haan wo dinner..

Arjun:Dont worry aate waqt order kar diya tha..

Riya:Thank you..ab mujhe achha lag raha hai to aap baith sakte hain.

Arjun:Thank you mam..

Both laughs.

Riya:Thank you so much Arjun sir..i really needed this coffee and massage..coffee bahut achhi thi..you know bachpan me mere sar dukhta tha na to mom massage karti thi..kitna achha feel hota tha..

Arjun:Ab achha feel nahi ho raha..

Riya:Achha nahi bahut achha..

Arjun(smiles):Bachpan me tumhari mom thi ab mai hu..kaho to roz kardu Arjun special head massage..

Both realise what he said and looks at each other. They small eyelock is broken by a bell ring. Arjun takes the food and serve dinner for them.

Arjun:So kya kya kiya wahan mujhe miss karne ke alawa.

Riya:Maine aapko miss nahi kiya..

Arjun:Hmm mera pehla question ignore karke seedha yahi kehna ki mujhe miss nahi kiya prove that you missed me Riya.

Riya:Ok ok kiya..aapne bhi to kiya haina.

Arjun:Well..haan..

Riya smiles.

Riya:Humne wahan bahut games khele bonfire ke paas..aur haan you know meri friend Nikita..hamara colleague hai na Dhruv..he proposed her.

Arjun:Really..wow thats great news.

Riya:Haan.

She remember their proposal and suddenly what she saw in dream as well. She get uncomfortable remembering that.

Riya:Sir mai spoons lati hu aap shuru kijiye.

He nods. He saw change in facial expression when she mentioned about her friend's proposal.

Arjun(mv):Shayad kuch hai jo Riya ko pareshan kar raha hai aur wo mujhe nahi bata sakti..kuch der use akele hi rehne deta hu..baad me puchna sahi rahega.

She comes out after bringing necessary utensils. After dinner both sit in balcony talking about trip. Riya distracted hetself from the dream and talking happily with him.

Arjun:Riya kafi der ho gayi i should leave now.

Riya:Ok sir good night..bye

Arjun:Good night..ek baat kehni thi Riya.

Riya:Haan sir kahiye..

Arjun:Koi bhi baat ho to tum bina hichak ke mujhse share kar sakti ho.

Riya(smile):I know sir..thank you.

Arjun:Bye

He leaves.

Both sleeps peacefully after meeting each other.

Like this one month passes.

One day

Riya's office

Riya's boss Shivam call her in his cabin.

Riya:Yes sir.

Shivam:Riya you are promoted as head of research and statisctical department.

Riya(happily):Really sir..thank you so much..

Shivam:No need to thank me Riya..its your hardwork and dedication which bring you reward.

Riya:Yes sir..i promise isi hardwork aur dedication se work karungi.

Shivam:Promotion brings responsibility Riya and danger as well.

Riya:Matlab

Shivam:Riya tum to janti ho hume har level ki research karni hoti hai..from drug dealing to human trafficking..you never know kis research me kaunsa khatra aa jaye..kabhi high profile cases to kabhi underworld don..aur government officers ki details nikalna kuch mushkil nahi hai criminals ke liye..aur isi ke chalte commissioner sir asked me to train you and all other researchers under you..taki tum khud ko protect kar sako..you get me..

Riya:Yes sir i understand..mai training ke liye tayar hu..aap mujhe details de dijiye iski.

Shivam:Sure..i will mail you..tomorrow morning 5 am..be ready.

Riya nods and leaves. She is happy as well as nervous for training..

Riya:Kya pata iss training ke zariye hi mera sapna pura ho jaye..police officer nahi to as researcher mai logo ko insaf dila pau..

She thinks to call Arjun and her family but someone calls her.

All day Riya get busy in learning new work and knowing her juniors. She gelled with them fast and they are happy with her work style as well.

At evening

After reaching home she calls Arjun and tells him about promotion and training.

Arjun:Ye to achhi baat hai Riya..tum khud ko sabko protect kar paogi isse.

Riya:I know sir but mujhe koi idea nahi ki training me kya hoga..i mean sirf self defence technique ya isse bhi zyada.

Arjun:Tumhare boss ne mail bheja hoga na..check it..aur jahan tak mujhe pata hai it will be martial arts..gun handling and few more attacking and defending techniques.

Riya:What gun handling..par..

Arjun:Riya tum to aise react kar rahi ho jaise tumne kabhi gun use karne ke baare me socha bhi nahi..i agree with your boss danger bahut hota hai iss field me..officers ko bhi aur un logo ko bhi jo unhe expose karne ki koshish karte hain isiliye sabse pehle tumhe target karenge..

Riya:Yes sir i understand..par mai kaise kisi ko maar sakti hu.

Arjun:Agar kise marne ki jagah ye socho ki kyu maar rahi to nishana kabhi nahi chookega..samjhi ya samjhau.

Riya(giggles):Aapke samjhane ke tarike se har koi samajh jaye..

Both laughs. After talking for sometime the call ends. She was about to call her brother Ishaan when her phone start ringing. She smiles seeing Ishaan's number flashing on the screen.

Riya:Hello bro kaise ho aap.

Ishaan:Kya baat teri tabiyat to thik hai..tu ne mujhe aap kaha..

Riya(rolls her eyes):Aise keh rahe ho jaise kabhi aap nahi kaha..waise 100 saal jiyoge tum tumhe hi phone karne wali thi.

Ishaan:Wow i am so lucky.

Both laughs.

Ishaan:Koi khaas wajah mujhe yaad karne ki.

Riya:Haan..

She tells him about her promotion and training.

Ishaan:Wow really..i am so happy and proud of you Ri..aur iss baar to party chahiye.

Riya:Party ke liye Mumbai aana hoga.

Ishaan:Done..kal aa raha hu mai Mumbai pure ek mahine ke liye.

Riya(shocked and happy):Kya sach..

Ishaan:Huh bhul gayi na bhulakkad..teen din baad raksha bandhan hai aur meri vacations bhi start ho jayegi to socha tere ghar hi aa jau.

Riya:Great jaldi aiye i will be waiting..flight kitne baje ki hai mai lene aa jaungi.

Ishaan:Subah ki hai..tu bas address de de mai aa jaunga khud..

Riya:Ok..key neighbour se le lena..address message kar dungi mai..

They talk for some more time then call ends and they retire for night.
