A Day In The Raute Household

It was a bright sunny morning. A beautiful villa stood surrounded by a beautiful garden with all types of flowering and fruit bearing plants and trees. Gardening was the hobby of the lady of the house. A black suv stood in the garage adjacent to a smart looking Porsche. This was the most important treasure of the man of the house , ofcourse after his wife. What a contrast! a garden and a Porsche. Two very different things but still together similarly their owners , poles apart but together.

"Chalo bacchon table pe a jao , breakfast ready hai aur tumahara favorite hai. Come fast"

the kids were running here and there in the house , or to say HOME.

Roshni and Chandni, the two 5 year old girls came running towards to table and sat at their respective places. The 2 beautiful girls, obedient and sweet had traits of both their parents. Smile of their mother and sharpness of their father. SAKSHI and ARJUN.

"aaj agar nakhre kiye bina breakfast kiya toh tum dono ko chocolate milegi, warna..." before she could complete her sentence.

"kha lenge jaldi jaldi" screamed the kids.

"ok . done" said a smiling sakshi.

"kya baatien ho rahi hai maa- betiyoon ke beech?"

"kuch nahi . yeh hamari aapas ki baat hai" said sakshi creating an air of mystery .The girls let out a chuckle.

Arjun smiled. He knew well that Sakshi had her own way of maintaining discipline in the house and he let her do so.

Having finished the breakfast the kids being obedient gathered the plates carefully and kept it on the kitchen counter then washed their hands and mouth and got back to playing.

suddenly

"AHHH Bachao Help" screamed sakshi.

arjun came in running.

"kya hua jaan ? chillai kyu?"

Sakshi ran towards him and hugged him tight as if to never leave him.

Arjun understood what the matter was. He saw a cockroach on the kitchen platform and decided to play along.

"cockroach !! bhago!" yelled Arjun . Sakshi screamed and went out of the kitchen after Arjun. Reaching the hall arjun started laughing. Sakshi understood and ran behind him , this time for revenge for scaring the life out of her. Arjun ran around the hall and went out to the garden with sakshi following him. she stopped and witnessed the most hilarious scene of her life.

THUD ..- arjun slipped over water and fell on the ground.

The ever great ACP Arjun raute whose eyes never missed a single evidence during any investigation, today missed the water that covered the ground.

"ha ha ha ha " came not 1 but 3 laughing sounds from behind. arjun saw behind to see the mother daughters trio laughing hard. A small smile came on his lips.

"AHH" came his painful voice. he wasn't hurt but played along .the trio came towards him and tried pulling him up but in the process they themselves fell on the wet ground.

A moment of silence and the air was again filled with giggles and laughter. All along the kids were in masti mood. They saw 2 jugs of water near them and took the wobbling jugs in their small hands and poured it on arjun and sakshi who were brought out of a long eye cantact due to this. The laughter had died out long ago as they were lost in each others eyes. The kids ran into the house followed by their parents.

"movie time !! come on kids . aaj Ice age 3 ' dekhte hai."

"wow mumma hamara favorite movie. yippie!" screamed the kids.

the kids watched the movie happily with Arjun and Sakshi . after half the movie got over sakshi left for the kitchen to make food . soon it would be lunch time. She made arjun's favorite biryani with butter chicken and and a big pizza . children loved to eat the pizza she made. the had even named it mummy special pizza'. As the film ended they gathered at the dining table and started eating their lunch . Sakshi didn't make anything particular for herself. She ate what she made for them . For her it was her family first and their needs and not her favorite dishes. Her day started and ended with her family.

soon they finished eating lunch. the kids already tired by playing and watching a movie were now feeling sleepy. Having washed their hands , Arjun - Sakshi put them to sleep in their room. While sleeping they looked like angels .

They went out of the room closing the door behind them. As the kids were asleep it gave them some time to be together. even after 6 years of marriage no love was lost and they tried to spend as much time with each other as possible. Arjun holding Sakshi's hand went out and wheeled out the Porsche. they went for a long drive. The children were sleeping and would not wake up before 4 o clock. They left a maid at the house for the time they were outside to take care of the needs of the children if they woke up.

He parked their car on the entrance of the beach and went to sit on the sand. soon they went into thinking . Coincidently they were thinking the same thing. The day when Roshni-Chandni were born.

"arghhh Arjunnn , mere pet me bohot dard ho raha hai , mujhe hospital lejao..." sakshi was nine months pregnant and the kids could be out anytime soon and the time had come. Arjun rushed Sakshi to the hospital. She was taken to the icu . Doctor and nurses went in . Arjun was sitting on a bench praying for his Sakshi. He was scared and excited at the same time . After a few minutes the doctor came out . " doctor Sakshi kaise hai aur bacche? " "congratulations .. aap papa ban gaye hai twins ke. ladkiyan hui hai. aur Sakshi bhi thik hai ."

Arjun's happiness knew no bounds and inside sakshi too was cherishing the beautiful feeling of being a mother.

Arjun and Sakshi came out of their thoughts. They looked at each other as if reading each others thoughts and feelings and their faces showed that they knew they were thinking the same. Sakshi came near arjun an kept her head on his shoulder and dosed off. he kept looking at her beautiful face. Soon it was time to go home . He saw her sleeping peacefully and carried her in his arms and kept her on the seat , tied the seatbelt and went to the drivers seat and drove back home.

Once home he carried her up to their room and kept his sleeping beauty on the bed. he went out to check on the kids and they too were sleeping peacefully. Coming out of the room he went towards the gym and started working out . Soon the kids were out of bed and joined him and did some silly little exercises which their school had taught them. It was 5 in the evening and tea time. The kids were done with their exercises long time back . After exercising Arjun went for a quick fresh up and came for tea.

After tea they all got quickly dressed and went out to enjoy the last few hour of a free day before the frantic schedules started again the next day. They went to a park where the kids along with other kids played the game of hide and seek and played on the swing and the slide and ran around catching each other. There was an icecream seller . Sakshi and Arjun got an icecream for themselves and for their kids . It was time to go home .

After reaching home Sakshi made Roshni and Chandni have a quick bath and got into their nightdress. The dinner was ready and was made by Arjun . They quickly had their dinner which was steamed mixed vegetables and tasty soup. Their dinner was always light. After dinner the kids played around a little and then Sakshi put the kids to sleep. The day was coming to an end . Arjun and Sakshi wanted to cherish the last few moments of the free day. They went to their bed and opened their laptop . they started seeing the evergreen romantic movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. They let the movie proceed further , the night was going slow . slowly sleep took over them . the computer remained idle on the side table . after the film was over the laptop too went into sleep mode thinking what a wonderful film it was and that the wonderful day in the Raute household came to an end ...
