Mujhpar Vishwaas nhi?" Suryakant asked. "Nahi Kaka! Aisi baat nhi hai. Zindagi Bhar Meri Aai ne mujhe Khuddari Aur Aatma Samman ka paath padhaya hai. Isliye kisi ke liye bojh banna main apni Self-Respect ke against samajhti hunn.." Devika answered firm. "Mujhe pata hai Beta, par main tumhari maddad karna chahta hunn. Ab iss duniya me tumhara hai kaun? Kaise rahogi akele?" Suryakant asked, concerned. "Main aapke concern ki izzat karti hunn Kaka! Par mujhe yeh theek nhi lagta. Main aap par bojh nhi banna chahti.. Aur waise bhi, Duniya me bohot aise log hain jo akele rehte hain So How Am I an Exception?? Adjust kar lungi main bhi..!!" She spoke up. "Main tumhari baat samajhta hunn Beta! Par mera mere Dost aur uske parivaar ki taraf kuch farz hai.."

Suryakant replied. "Aur ussi farz ke naate main tumhe yahaan akela nhi chhod sakta. Main Bhabhi Aur Amit se kiye hue vaade ko aise hi nhi todd sakta. Unhone mujhe tumhari zimmedaari mujhe di hai aur main use nibhaunga.." Suryakant replied, his voice firm. "Par kaka?" Devika tried. "Par Var kuch nhi beta! Samaan pack karo, hum 2 ghante me Mumbai ke liye nikalenge." He replied and kept a hand on her forehead lovingly. "Aaj se tum apne iss Kaka ke saath rahogi.." Devika let out a soft smile, knowing the elderly man genuninely cared for her.. Half An Hour Later.. Devika was packing her clothes and other necessary stuff in her bags.. She opened the drawer to take out her brushes and Color Pallete when her fingers grazed the velvet of a casket.. She took out and opened it.. Inside it was a beautiful gold ring.. FB Begins.. "Aai? Tujhe pata hai? Ileana ki shaadi bohot acchi jagah hone wali hai.." Devika spoke as she sat beside Geeta. "Accha? Kiske saath?" Geeta asked..

"Aur kiske saath Aai? Ethan ke saath! Bohot acchi family hai uski.. Bohot acche log hain aur financially well off bhi." Devika replied. "Chalo! Accha hai. Bas ab Bappa se yahi prathna hai ke tujhe bhi koi accha sa ladka mil jaye!" Geeta replied. "Kya Aai? Aap bhi na?" Devika replied, irritated. "Kyun? Kya buraa kaha maine? Tujhe bhi toh mann karta hoga? Ki koi tere liye kharch kare?" Geeta spoke. "Aai? Aap jaanti hain ki main apne paise khud kamana chahti hunn.. Na ki kisi aur ke hawale se.." "Accha Accha Meri Jaan! Ab gussa mat ho, aur yeh dekh.." Geeta spoke and opened a casket which contained a beautiful gold ring. Devika grazed her fingers on the beautiful creation. "Khoobsurat hai?" Geeta asked. "Bohot Khoobsurat hai Aai." Devika replied. "Yeh mere hone wale Zavai Saheb ke liye hai.." Geeta replied. "Waah! Yeh khoob hai Aai. Beti ke liye kuch nhi, par Damaad ke liye angoothi.." Devika spoke, a bit upset. "Oh Ho! Tujhe main kyun dunn? Tujhe toh woh dega Pagli..!!" Geeta lovingly pulled her cheeks..

FB Ends.. Devika wiped off the small tears, which formed in her beautiful eyes.. "Aai? Kyun gayi aap mujhe chhod kar? Dekhein Kya haal ho gya hai Aapki Devika ka? Jo Ladki kabhi kisi ke bulaye bina kisi ke ghar nhi jaati.. Aaj usko kisi aur ke ghar Kherat, Mehmaan ya Zimmedaari banke jaa rhi hai.." Devika spoke, wiping off whateva traces of tears stayed on her cheeks.. She kept the casket inside and packed her bags.. She came out into the drawing room, where Suryakant was already waiting for her.. "Chalein Beta?" Suryakant asked to which Devika nodded slightly. Both moved out and locked the outer door.. "Chalo Beta!" Suryakant smiled gently. Devika lukd back at the locked room... Suryakant understood her state of mind. "Dukhi mat ho Beta! Ek Nayi Zindagi tumhaari raah dekh rahi hai.." Suryakant gently wrapped an arm around Devika's shoulder.. Devika smiled and nodded, blinking back the tears on her eyelids.. Both Walked Away... Later That Evening; Mumbai..

Devika along wid Suryakant walked into the lobby of the airport along wid their luggage.. All this was a very new for Devika who just had trains, buses and locals for her means of transport! The Driver loaded their luggage into What Seemed Like A Mercedes to her, and both drove off.. Rawte Mansion; An Hour Lateer.. The Silver Mercedes entered the huge gates of the Rawte Mansion.. The Car halted in the driveaway and out stepped Suryakant Rawte.. The guards saluted him to which he acknowledged with a smile. Devika too got out behind him.. She tried to take out her luggage from the boot space but 3-4 servants rushed towards her and asked her not to do so. They didnt even let her carry her own luggage. Suryakant smiled warmly and gestured her to walk with him. Devika walked thru the huge marble pathway on the both sides of which were lush green expanse known as The Garden.. The house which stood in front of her was no less than a palace.. She felt a stranger to all. Suryakant rang the bell

and waited. The door was opened by Vidisha, who welcumed her husband warmly. "Arre? Aap aa gye? Kitni derr se intezaar kar rhi thi main aapka." She smiled but the next instant, her smile faded a little as she saw a gurl standing behind him. She was young, very young. Probably in her early 20's. She had a beautiful face which were adorned with her Beautiful Black Eyes.. But she seemed very ordinary to her. Standing with her head bend down and dressed in a simple White Churidaar Suit.. Her head was covered with her dupatta, for lord knows what reasons..!! "Vidisha?" Her thoughts were broken by Suryakant's voice. "Isse milo, Yeh hai Devika wahi Devika jiske baare me maine tumhe bataya tha! Devika Kirloskar.. Mere Amit Ki Beti.." "Namaste Kaki.." Devika finally found her voice and touched Vidisha's feet. "Khush Raho!" She blessed her. "Aaj se, Devika humare saath hi rahegi. Ab yeh humari zimmedaari hai.. Humari beti hai yeh!" Suryakant spoke, keeping a hand on her heaf lovingly. "Ji Bilkul!" Vidisha smiled.

"Maria??" She called the maid. Maria came in.."Yes Mam?" Maria asked. "Madam ko unka kamra dikha do!" Vidisha ordered. "Yes Mam! Aaiye Mam.." Maria nodded and asked Devika to accompny her wid a smile. "Tumhara saaman, Chandu kamre me pahucha dega.." Vidisha assured her. Devika nodded and walked away with Maria towards the guests rooms. "Aap jayein.. Jaa ke fresh ho jaye aur change kar lein! Main Khana Lagvaati hunn." Vidisha turned towards, SK. "Arjun kahaan hai? Dikhaai nhi de rha?" Suryakant asked. "Apne kamre me hai. Office ke kaamo me laga hai.. Main usko bhi bulvane wali hunn khane ke liye." Vidisha replied. Suryakant Smiled and walked away towards his room. Half An Hour Later.. The Rawte's had sat down for dinner at their lavish glass dinner table. Arjun was rolling up the sleeves of his white kurta.. Suryakant came and sat down. The father-son duo talked about Suryakant's trip while The maids kept the dishes on the table.. Suddenly, Suryakant rememberes sumthing.. "Arre? Devika?

Woh kahaan hai? Wo nhi aayi khane ke liye?" He asked. "Sir? Main gyi thi unke kamre me par unhone khaane se mana kar diya.. Kaha ki mann nhi hai.." Maria spoke up. "Ajeeb Nakhre hain iske?? Ek toh inke liye karo aur upar se Inke 100 nakhre jhelo!" Vidisha replied. "Soch Samajh kar bolo Vidisha!! Devika ek bohot khuddar bacchi hai.. Jo ladki aaj tak kisi ke bina bulaye uske ghar tak nhi gyi.. Usse agar main apne ghar le aaun toh zaahir hai wo khud ko mujhpar bojh hi samjhegi..!! 5 Saal inn maa-beti ne khud ko akele paala hai.. Kisi ke samne haath nhi failaya..!! Woh toh yahaan aana bhi nhi chahti thi, Main laya hunn usko yahaan.." Suryakant replied angrily. "Maria? Ek kaam karo! Uska khaana uske kamre me dekar aao.. Kaisi hai woh abhi?" SK ordered. "Sir, Mujhe wo upset lagin shayad ro rhi thi.." Maria replied. "Hmm.. You go!" Suryakant replied.. "Yes Sir!" Maria nodded and after arranging Devika's plate, She walked towards her room.. Arjun was luking at his father.. He knew that his father was a caring soul...

Next Morning; Arjun's Cabin.. "So.. Mujhe pata chala ki tumhare yahaan koi aaya hua hai??" Aratrika asked Arjun. "Leh?? Tumhe bada pata hai yaar?? FBI Agent ho ya CIA se judi ho? Kisi ko pata ho na ho! Tumhe bada pata hai..!!" Arjun replied. "Haha! Very Funny..Ab mazaak karna bandh karo aur batao bhi..!!" Aratrika replied. "Haan! Wo Baba ke dost ke beti.. Kya naam hai uska? Aur tumhe usse kya karna hai?" Arjun asked. "Nahi actually!! Mujhe janna hai ki yeh Middle Class family ki ladkiyan dikhti kaisi hain?? You know? Salwaar-Suit me jo Parde ki tarah honge! Sar Dhaka Hua.. Nazarein Neechi.. Typical Behenji..!!" Aratrika giggled at her own thought.. "Jaisi bhi ho! Tumhe usse complex ho rha hai kya??" Arjun smiled, grinning. "Complex? Mujhe? Get A Class Arjun!!! Meri Ek Dress jitne ki aati hogi na?? Usse uske Mahine ka raashan chalta hoga.." Aratrika replied, with atitude.. Arjun laughed, dropping his head back. "Grow Up Aratrika!" He spoke to which she smiled.. Meanwhile; Rawte Mansion.. Devika wiped the glass clean of her mother's photo.. Though It has been 2 weeks but she still wasnt able to cum out of her grief. Her Aai was the only strength she had after her father.. She wiped her eyes, which were moist and kept the photo on the bedside table.. She took out her Canvases, Colour Palletes And Brushes. She was now going to do the thing which gave her immense peace of mind.. She dipped her brush in the colour and her hands moved beautifully over the Canvas.. Any1 who was an intent watcher of her work wud observe that today she was using Dark Colours. Which generally she didnt. She preffered Warm, Soft Colours.. But guess thats how her state of mind was.. Dark, Gloomy and Unclear. Though The Strokes she gave were stunning.
