Neither can he nor can any1one else.. Never! 10 Days Later.. Geeta's Last Rites had been done peacefully and genuninely by Devika as they had no son. Suryakant had attented each and every funeral ceremonies, to make up for the mistake that he had committed before.. Though Devika wud appear as very calm and composed infront of others. But Suryakant knew she used to break down and cry her heart out during the night. Losing her mother had indeed been a

setback for her. Suryakant walked into the room and found Devika sitting by Geeta's bed and sobbing.. He cudnt see the young girl in such suffering.. He walked upto her, and lovingly kept a hand on her forehead. Devika lukd up.. "Kaka.." She broke down leaning onto his arm. "Bas Bas Meri Bacchi.. Nahi Rote. Aise roti rahogi toh tumhari tabiyat kharaab ho jaayegi beta.." Suryakant consoled her as he gently caressed her forehead.. "Kaka mera aai ke alava iss duniya me koi nhi hai.." Devika weeped bitterly. "Kisne kaha tumhara koi nhi hai? Main hunn na beta? Tum meri beti jaisi ho.. Amit aur bhabhi se vaada kiya tha maine ki tumhara khyaal rakhunga.. Ab se tum meri zimmedaari ho beta." Suryakant assured her.."Main us vaade ko zaroor poora karunga.. Tum mere saath aaj Mumbai chalogi.." Suryakant replied. "Kaka? Mumbai?" Devika asked, unsure. I won't lie! I felt the chapter was a bit rushed! You could've explored Devika a bit more! That way it would build the crescendo for its finale more strongly! Nevertheless I loved her introduction! An artist who is engrossed in her newest masterpiece is always a lovable sight. I loved her little gestures when it came to her mother! She was the dutiful daughter there but alas she could do absolutely nothing to lessen the pain of her mother. That was quite daft!
