CHAPTER 5:

Arjun finished breakfast and went to bathroom. Sakshi finished her breakfast then went down. Mr. and Mrs. Rawte were nowhere to be seen. Kept the tray at table and instructed the servant to clean the table. After sometime Mr. and Mrs. Rawte came down.

Mrs. Rawte: Beta tune breakfast kya?

Sakshi: Ji Ma.

Mr. Rawte: Aapke pati dev ka kya hal hai?

Before Sakshi could answer another voice boomed from the stairs.

Voice: Sakshi ki pati dev bhi hajir hai Mr. Rawte.

Mrs. Rawte and Sakshi shook their head.

Mrs. Rawte: Jaisa baap waisa beta.

Mr. Rawte: ACP Arjun Rawte. Aaj aap office ke lye late ho gye. Aaj aapko office ghusne nehi dya jyega.

Arjun smiled a sweet smile.

Arjun: Sorry to say Mr. Rawte but aapka common sense bohot kam hai. I am the 2^nd in command of ETF. Mujhe koi nehi rok sakta.

Another voice came from from doorsteps.

Voice: Galat. Main rok sakta hoom.

They all turned towards the door. Standing there was Sameer with hands in heaps.

Sameer: Aaj kya main to tujhe ainda office mein hi ghusne nehi dunga.

He came inside and touched Mr. and Mrs. Rawte's feet to take blessings.

Arjun: Kiyu nehi ghusne dega?

Sameer: Ek to itna important case chal raha hai. Phir bhi tune kal chutti li. Thik hai. Grant kya. Uncle aunty ka marriage anniversary tha. Par aaj kya hua? Subah ke 10 baje call karo aur pata chala ki janab so raha hai.

Arjun: Main chahe 10 baje tak sou ya 12 baje tak. Tujhe kya?

Sameer was about to answer when Sakshi came in between them. Otherwise they will be keeping arguing for hours.

Sakshi: Accha baba. Bohot hua. Aab bas karo tum dono.

After entering for the first time Sameer noticed Sakshi closely. Her red saree, sindoor and mangalsutra. Then he recalled their conversation. He looked at Arjun. He was grinning.

Sameer: Abbe kutte, kamine. Dost ke nampe dushman hai tu. Shadi kar lya aur mujhe batya bhi nehi. Aur Sakshi tum to bata sakti thi.

Sakshi blushed.

Sakshi: Aisi bat nehi hai Sameer. Asal mein yeh sab kuch itna jaldi mein hua ki kisiko bataneka chanse bhi nehi mila.

Then Arjun narrated the whole story. Sameer got angry at Dadi bua's behavior but became happy for his friend.

Sameer: Congratulation. Chal Arjun tujhe maaf kar dya.

Mrs. Rawte: Beta haam mandir ja rahe hai. Sakshi aur Arjun ki khushal jindegi ke dua mangne. Tum bhi chalo na hamare sath.

Sameer: Thik hai aunty.

After one hour they reached the mandir. They went before the idol of Shiv-Parvati and joined their hands.

Mr. Rawte (in mind): Aap to sab jante ho. Mera Parth. Ek bete ne iss bacchi ki jindegi barbad kar dya. Aur aab dusra usse sajane ja raha hai. Undono ko iss dunya ki har khushi dena. Sakshi ka atet ka kala chaya usski aaj pe nehi padna chahye.

Mrs. Rawte: Aaj bohot dino ke bad khushya hamare ghar aya hai. Parth ke bade mein koi nehi janta. Parth ne Sakshi ke sath jo kya woh sirf main janti hoom. Arjun ko bhi nehi pata. Aap undono ko hamesha khush rakhna.

Sameer (in mind): Itne dino ke bad indono ke jindego mein khushya aya hai. Indono ko hamesha khush rakhyga. Aur Arjun ka to ho gya aab mera kuch karwado. Aisha ko sat buddhi do ki woh mera pyar pehchan jye.

Arjun (in mind): Aaj mera nehi hamare jindegi ka sabse bada din hai. Aaj main aur Sakshi apne anewale kal ki taraf ek kadam bada rahe hai. Aap hamara sath dijyega.

Sakshi (in mind): Hey Bhagwan. Aapka bohot bohot dhannyabad Aapne mujhe Arjun jaisa pati dia. Meri jholi khushyo se bhar dya. Bas aise hi hamare sath dete jyega. Mujhe shakti aur housla dijyega. Taki main jaldse jald Arjun ke jindegi mein sahi maine pe usski patni ban sako. Usse usska hq de sakoom.

After finishing their prayer Arjun and Sakshi distributed prasad to everyone in the temple. Now it was time to leave.
Arjun: Mom aap Dad ko lekar ghar jye. Main aur Sakshi bad mein ayenge.

Mr. Rawte: Kaha ja raha hai?

Arjun: Woh Sakshi ko lekar thoda ghumne ja raha hoom.

Mrs. Rawte: Thik hai. Par jaldi ana.

Arjun: Okay.

Mr. and Mrs. Rawte went back to home.

Arjun: Sakshi tum gadi mei jakar baitho. Main abhi aya.

Sakshi nodded and went to the car. Then he turned to Sameer.

Sameer: Kaha ja raha hai?

Arjun: Psychiatrist ke pas. Tujhe to pata hi hai. Aaj bhi usse Parth ka sapna ata hai. Aaj bhi bechari dar dar ke jeeti hai.

Sameer nodded.

Sameer: Okay. But medicines ke sath sath usse tera pyar bhi to chahye.

Arjun: Pata hai Sam. Main koushish karunga usse hamesha khush rakhneki.

Sameer nodded. He bid bye to them and went back to office. Arjun went back to the car and started the engine.

Arjun: Accha ek batao yeh tumne Bhagwan ji se kya manga?

Sakshi blushed. How on earth she will tell him? Seeing her blushing Arjun got the chance to tease her further. He nudged her.

Arjun: Bolo na!! Kya manga?

Sakshi nodded no.

Soon they reached the hospital. Whole way passed in this sweet tease. When Arjun was about to getting down Sakshi grapsed his hand.

Sakshi: Mujhe bohot dar lag raha hai.

Arjun: Main hoom na? Main tumhe kuch nehi hone dunga. Chalo. Jo bhi hoga ham rahenge.

Sakshi: Promise?

Arjun: Promise..
