Chapter 2

Shree's viewpoint

They say that trust is like a fragile glass. Easy to get it, easy to break but difficult to maintain. For the second time I realized how right they were. Seeing the video, seeing aisha like this broke all of our hearts all over again. Its just like another riya is happening. Only this time the devastation point is not arjun sir but rathore sir. I saw his heart break into a million pieces in his eyes before his eyes became a curtain. I think all of us knew at that point that both our acps would never trust again. I could'nt help but curse myself. I spent a lot of time with both these women yet I never found out the real nature of them. they played me and chotu all along. How can they do that? did'nt they have any heart at all?.

It has been two hours since we have seen the video. Although we were maybe in worse shape than we cared to show but I knew we had a duty. To solve the case. And by god we will do everything in our power to catch her. rathore sir asked me to identify whether the video is genuine or not. I knew I should not have but I could'nt help but hope that the video is false. That what we have seen is not true. Yet every method I have tried to prove the video is false gave me the opposite result. With a heavy heart, I knew that I had to inform rathore sir the dreaded news. I got up to go when my computers gave a sudden alarm indicating intruder alert. Everyone rushed to my station as I sat down to track down the intruder. I worked furiously on the laptop and knew that I needed more time to trace the intruder. So I slowly left an opening to the video hence buying me more time to trace the intruder. Rathore sir and arjun sir kept quiet their bodies coiled in tension behind me yet they did'nt intefer instead allowed me to find the intruder. I traced the intruder to the terrace and as soon as I said it they rushed to the terrace with me and chotu racing behind them.

We reached the terrace and heard the voice which once was the sweetest voice but now it seemed to mock us and curse us. we burst into the terrace with our guns pointing in the direction of riya. Disgust and anger filled me seeing her smirking her dimple smile but my heart sank seeing her standing on the railing that seperates the terrace from the air. She had raised her hands at arjun sir's command but said "come on guys, I don't think you are going to shoot me." hearing the smirkness in her voice,the anger in me became dominant and I said "give us one reason not to." She takes up a mock thinking expression on her face and then said the one word which filled my heart with hope and dread "aisha." I could feel the shock coming out of all of us. then arjun sir and rathore sir did something which surprised us. they put their guns back into the holster. I could see a fleeting expression of surprise and wariness on riya's face before she arranged a face into a smirk. Seeing that I wonder whether there is more to what she really is. Rathore sir told "shree, chotu put down your guns." Me and chotu were reluctant to do so but rathore sir forced us with a single stare of his. Arjun sir took a step towards riya and riya took a step back now almost reaching the end of the railing. Arjun sir said "riya don't be ridiculous. You will fall down and die. You have got nowhere to go". then at that moment I saw an expression of delight, mockery on her face and a hood of secrecy cloud her eyes. She said "arjun sir, remember the case where you told me to wear a short dress and try to climb the railing? Remember what I said ?" chotu immediately became tensed beside me. riya smiles, winks at arjun sir saying "don't worry. Nothing will happen to me. I will meet you later on." And she jumps. Arjun sir tried to grab but she jumps. Everyone of us rushed to the railing my heart sinking of seeing her dead body on the ground. But instead I see her standing on her own two feet with not even a scratch on her. she winks, gave a salute and walked away. Everyone one of us is in shock. I ask rathore sir furious at letting her go "why did you tell us to put our guns down rathore sir?". I know I should'nt have shouted at him but I could'nt help but be angry to finally realize that she is'nt the person I knew, the friend I made. she was a faade which me and chotu fell for. Arjun sir calmly looks at me his face conveying nothing yet I knew that he understood what I felt. He said "we did'nt know she would jump off the terrace shree. It seems we have again underestimated her capabilities. But we do know one thing for sure." Sakshi asks "and what is that?". rathore sir said still looking at the direction riya went "aisha is innocent. The video is false."
