We met him at a recent event in the city, where he told us, "I am still a true Delhiite, and I don't think the geographical distance is ever going to change that. Yes, the frequency of my visits to the capital has gone down, but I try to come whenever I get a chance because my family is here."
Shaleen's family still stays in Janak Puri in West Delhi, and we asked him if he feels a change when he comes to the city. He said, "After the show, life has changed, definitely. Earlier, you were just a part of the crowd when you got out of the railway station or airport. Now people stop and look and recognize me, and I feel really loved because of all that."
We asked him which his favourite Delhi hangout places from his school and college days were, and he told us, "In school, we used to love going to this coffee shop near the hotels on Sardar Patel Marg because of its crowd, and because we were from a boys' school - we would go there to check out the girls from a girls' school nearby. Priya's was also a popular hangout joint because of the vibe of that place. I try to go to New Friends Colony for shawarma even now when I'm in the city."
