Bonjour mes amis! How are y'all? I am back again with another OS. I am sorry for being so annoying but. I don't know I miss Riya a lot lately. So ussi ka asar hai ye!
Won't give a long lecture. Enjoy! 😆
OS: Start of Something Good...
"It's the truth you know it!"
"Shut up!"
"Denying it won't change the truth."
"Oh yeah! Like you know a lot about this * Sarcastic voice *"
"Oh-puh-lease. I have done PHD in this subject trust me. He likes you"
"Nooo...he doesn't."
"Yes he does"
"No he doesn't!"
"Does"
"Does not!"
"Does. Does. Does. Does!"
"Does not. Does not. Does not!"
"Does not"
"Does..." It took me a second to realize what I just said as I heard my best friend giggling. There was a bright red color forming on my cheeks and I quickly turned the other way to hide myself from my eagle eyed friend.
"Hmm Riya...So...dil ki baat hoto taka a hi gayi," saying this she nudged me softly and I blushed a new shade of red or so I think. I was trying real hard to hold back a smile but I failed miserably.
"Aye Hayeee...Yun tera muskurana...Mar dala!"
"Shut up Jojo!"
"Why should I shut up. Itni acha mauka mein kaise gawa sakti hoon. So tell me what exactly happened today?"
"It was before the test started..."
~ Flashback: 1 hour before this in the high school ~
" I want you all to be very silent as you go inside the classroom. There will be no chitchat. Make sure you have a reading book with you in case you finish the test early. You all will be called in after 10mins."
Saying this the teacher gave us a stern look for the millionth time and walked back inside the classroom. I turned back to the conversation I was indulged in. I was talking about a game called Smash with one of my friends, Tanya. Poor gal she has to stay crippled for a whole lot of time. While in P.E class she tore the ligament of her foot while she was shooting a basket. Now you would think how would anyone get hurt while shooting a basket but she landed wrong with her foot. And she had to bare the consequences.
Both of us continued talking about Smash. That's when a crowd of tenth grader's came and lined up on the opposite wall. Most of them usually known as the "popular" crowd. Some of them were really nice and friendly but some of them were a big S.H.O.W.O.F.F! And it irritated me to the core when I saw them do that. Heights of insensitivity. Nothing personal or anything but if I had to be honest all the girls were * ahem * s**tty minus the nice and friendly ones who are actually normal. And the boys are big jerks with an L hanging from their foreheads. L for Losers. And the hilarious part is that they have this illusion that that's what makes them attractive. What even! But of course minus the ones who were nice and friendly.
I didn't pay much attention to the crowd standing opposite me and continued on with the Smash conversation. That's when I saw it in my peripheral vision. There was someone watching me from the opposite wall. I couldn't tell who it was as it was my peripheral vision but I think he was smiling at me... Wow! This is new to me...How am I supposed to react to this...I had no idea. I am not good with this kind of stuff.
You never know when you're gonna meet someone
And your whole wide world in a moment comes undone
You're just walking around and suddenly
Everything that you thought that you knew about love is gone
You find out it's all been wrong
And all my scars don't seem to matter anymore
Cause they led me here to you
That's when I felt someone hug from behind. Of course who else would it be my best friend Jo! She loves hugging me. I turned around and found her always smiling face staring right at me.
"Rio! I missed you!"
"Umm...we just saw each other like 15 minutes ago you know."
"Ki pharak painda hai. I still missed you. So nervous about the test?"
"Um..not really no. you?"
" Nope."
She smiled at me one last time and went towards Tanya to chitchat. And I saw him then. It was like a scene right out of a Bollywood movie where the hero and heroine lock eyes and it seems as if everything else around them just stops. That's exactly what's happening with me right now. First things I notice about him is his eyes. Even seeing them for the first time I can say that they speak volumes. It's as if they are talking their own language. His facial features are sharp. He has little bulge on both the sides of his arms. I am guessing they are muscles. Wow...only in tenth grade and he has muscles. Unique. He has little smile on his face, which makes me smile without me realizing it. And the teacher's voice breaks the trance.
I know that its gonna take some time
I've got to admit that the thought has crossed my mind
This might end up like it should
And I'm gonna say what I need to say
And hope to god that it don't scare you away
Don't wanna be misunderstood
But I'm starting to believe that this could be the start of something good
Everyone knows life has its Ups and downs
One day you're on top of the world and one day you're the clown
Well I've been both enough to know
That you don't wanna get in the way when its working out
The way that it is right now
You see my heart i wear it on my sleeve
Cause I just can't hide it anymore
"You can enter the class now."
People start stepping into the room and there is soon a big crowd at the door. I lose sight of him as people block my way. Ignoring the weird scene that took place just now I step into the room and sat at my table to take the test.
~End of flashback~
"Yeah so that's how it all started. Now if you are done with your investigation can I continue with my homework?"
"To maine kab roka." Saying this she left my study room and I turned back to focus on the task at hand.
"But this still means he likes you remember that!" I heard Jo shouting from outside the room.
"And you can shut up now!" I shout back. What is it with friends being so incessant? But I do the same so never mind.
Now back to analyzing the scene from Romeo and Juliet. I am watching the first meet of Romeo and Juliet from the Leonardo De Caprio movie. It was a masquerade party where Romeo sees Juliet for the first time and he smiles. I pause the scene right there. That smile reminds me his smile. He smiled at me not once but twice. I mean it probably means nothing right? Like I smile at people all the time in the school hallway even though I don't know them. It's known to be a friendly gesture. He probably was being friendly too. But, it seemed more than that though. I don't know why. But I felt something snap inside me right then. There was a connection between us and I think I felt it too. I smiled at my thoughts. What is happening to you Riya? You are going crazy. Save those daydreams for moments of boredom and concentrate on your homework or else tera kal band baja baarat bajega.
I know that it's gonna take some time
I've got to admit that the thought has crossed my mind
This might end up like it should
And I'm gonna say what I need to say
And hope to god that it don't scare you away
Don't wanna be misunderstood
But I'm starting to believe that this could be the start
Cause I don't know where it's going
There's a part of me that loves not knowing
Just don't let it end before we begin
You never know when you're gonna meet someone
And your whole wide world in a moment comes undone
It was the start of something new in my life and I don't know why but my sixth sense said that it was going to be interesting to experience.
~Start of something good~
