The First Worry ...

HIS POV-
"Dammit...dammit!!",i kept muttering to myself not audible to others,trying to concentrate on the case ...but i was failing with every passing second..

'Dammit..kaha gyi ye ladki? batake kyu nai ja sakti..aarrgghhh... mujhe laga tha iski purani non reporting adat sudhar gyi..but nai..madam aj phir gayab..ane do..dekh lunga!",i mentally prepared a long scolding speech...

And there she was...after 1 hr of disappearance...she had finally arrived!
Sakshi asked her about her where abouts worried...to which she replied that she had gone to meet the victim of the case...

"Kyu?",I asked back ina shrill almost scolding tone..

She was startled a bit...and she politely defened herself...

Well well..the ACP Rathod had by now forgotten the entire speech ... i only managed to say,"to tum waha akele chali jaogi aisha...ye jante hue..that its not safe...",in a calm concerned tone..."uff..ye kya kia..that was supposed to be a scolding..dammit!",i muttered...

Our eyes locked for some seconds...

And then was our miss Sakshi..who exclaimed,"guys..mujhe lagta hai tumhe ek break ki zarurat hai..",

That was it..all heads shot up to her..and sensing the awkward situation she quickly corrected herself replacing "tumhe." with "hume"..and we all got back to the case..I smiled to myself..although Sakshi didnt do it on purpose..yet i thought about it..did she really mean whatever she said!? I mean..i had seen Sakshi poking Aisha about something..could it be about us? No..must be some G-talks! I was just..ummm WORRIED...kisi ke liye bhi hota..wats d big deal?!! Ignore!

The next few cases kept us busy..but one case required the help of an anthropologist..Liza introduced us to chhaya..n i had a-not-so-gud first impression about her..tedhe people are not liked by me"!

Well well..not bad..i was definitely impressed by her skills..i was thinking about interrogating...then a phone rang..and Aisha picked up her phone..made an irritated face..with a slightly crimson n curious face..then hushed the person on the other side whispering something and disconnected.."ye kya tha??",i wondered and got ready for the interrogation..

Chhaya's findings were ready too.. and yet again,she shocked us..i praised her..and she asked for a coffee,"hain..ye ladkiyan kabse mere sath coffee pine me interest lene lagi!",i could not deny her ...and left..I saw a puzzled Aisha with a small pout and confusion trying to understand what happened..and then get back to her file. ..A serious thing happened..sakshi thought that i didnt notice it...but i did..whenever i praised Chhaya..Sakshi would come like a tornado n give some of her special remarks! "ho kya raha hai!!?"

Thank god..the case was wrapped up soon... n like everyday...I dropped her home..chatting all the way!"kitna bolti hai!",i said to myself..and went away bidding a goodnight..huh..okay..i admit..kuch to ho raha tha..CARE maybe! i dunno..

HER POV-

"hain!! ye kya tha! office me ghuste sath barasne lage..",i muttered under my breath..but the next instant his tone changed..and he mellowed down..ummm...did he care for me? baaton se to aisa hi laga..rehne de..mai zyada soch rhi hu ..

I was about to come out of my thoughts when sakshi gave her special effect..i felt embarrassed..is ladki ko chain nai hai..ekto ajib baatein karti hai..ab ye coffee dene k liye poke karna zaruri tha kya?akele hoti to class leti iski..i had no option..i silently forwarded the coffee to him..but after every minute...my eyes automatically glanced to his side once...ye kya ho rha hai? shree ne mere akh ko remote se control to nai kar rha na...?? y d hell m i looking there...kaam kar aisha..kaam kar!!

I pacified myself and got back to my work..

Me n chhotu were having a serious arguement on a "kali billi " crossing a road..."lo..ho gyi kharab din ki shuruwat" ..aate hi office me case! chain se jeene kyu nai dete ye criminals!?

Chhaya...hmm...anthropologist..huff..aap mahan..hum bewakoof. ..sakshi had this expression on her face! i chuckled..."isko kya hua!?"

There she was..aa gyi line pe..grr..case ke bich me she called me..only to say that i should get serious about Sameer..err..Rathod sir..nehi to chhaya unko uda le jayegi...aur mai dekhti rahungi!

Is she mad? Serious about what? oops...i had to disconnect..the subject of our discussion was sitting right in front of me..i will be in serious trouble if he comes to know..

The case progressed a lot..saved a lot of time too...thanks to Chhaya's skills n inventions...We were shortlisting the names of the girls in the "missing" files..hain..wat was that..Did this chhaya just ask out Rathod sir for a coffee?? Aur wo chale bhi gaye? Courtesy ke liye hi..ekbae mujhse to puchte..after all i was standing in front..mai kaun sa inke bich kabab me haddi banne wali thi?? I made a pouted n puzzled face oblivious to myself..then got back with my work.."Wahan dimag lagane se acha hai yaha lagao...fayda hoga!",i explained to myself and started reading the files..

The case was finally wrapped up ... i stood there silently watching Rathod sir escorting the victim's boyfriend and talking to him..i felt bad for the guy..

Right then chhaya came up and had a nice chat with me...Well she sais something which made me even more curious...he said that he is "not interested"..chalo..thik hai...but chhaya told me that she knows the reason for his denial too...DENIAL?? huuff..bach gyi..bach gyi?? mai marne wali thi kya? god shat is wrong with me? but i felt like someone took away a big tension n WORRY from me...Worry?? kis baat ka worry? i dinno..leave it...

"umm..kyu??" i thought of asking...but rathod sir came right then ...

I was wrapping up and leaving with sakshi..when he came to ask me for a drop..sakshi gave a naughty smile and nearly forced me to go with him.."u dog..ruk jaa..meri bhi baari ayegi..sab samajhti hu mai!",i said in my mind and left with him...
