Days passed by and Riya got busy busy in her Life,which didnt let her think about the face-to-face meet with her brother,Sameer Rathore... She used to keep herself and her mind occupied with the household work and with Padmini...
As Holi was approaching,she kept herself busy with the preparations of the Holika Dehen and the main Holi Party,where the high-officials of the Police Department have been invited.
Two days before the Holi:
Riya was checking through all the preparations,while Daijaan was handling Padmini. Riya sat down on the sofa and started to check the guest list,when,suddenly her phone buzzed.She took the phone and smiled after seeing the caller id.She picked up the phone.
Ri: Aap?
Ar: Haan,main.. Kyun? Main apni biwi ko call nahi karsakta kya?
Ri: Zarur call karsakte hai,lekin,iss waqt aapki biwi apne kaam mein vyast hai.. Kripiya aadhe ghante ke baad call kijiye,dhanyavaad..
Arjun chuckled at her statement...
Ri: Main jaanti hu ki aapne kisliye phone kiya hai.. Holi party ki saari taiyaari hochuki hai.. Sare guests ko invitations de diye gaye hai,sirf Coelho sir aur unki family,Raghu sir aur unki family aur IG sir aur unki family ko baki hai... Cards maine aapke office bhijwa diye.. Aap jaake de dijiyega...
Ar: Thik hai... Main khud jaake cards de dunga... Waise,Padmini kya kar rahi hai?
Ri: Yahin khel rahi hai... Aaj bohut khush nazar arahi hai.. Bappa se prarthna hai kiPadmini ko humesha khushi aur humare parivaar ko bhi... Accha chaliye,main rakhti hu... Kal ke Holika Dehen ki taiyaari karni hai.Bye...
Ar: Bye...
Both disconnect the call and get to their works... Arjun receives the cards and went to invite his seniors' and their family in person,while,Coelho sir's mother blesses Arjun and asks him to come over with his wife and daughter,to which,he readily accepts. Riya also finishes checking all the preparations for the Holika Dehen Puja and for the main event,as well..
On The Holika Dehen Puja.
Everyone gather at the garden in Arjun's house.The women did the aarti and along with their husbands',took rounds and threw some grains when the Holika was lit.. The ladies' smeared colours on each other and also on others and wished Happy Holi.. After the Holika Dehen,everyone had a chat and Riya offered them snacks and refreshments.Everyone complimented Riya's cooking and wished to have a dinner party someday at Arjun's house.
Whereas,in Sameer's house,Sameer and Meera lit the Holika and offered grains.Sameer was feeling very sad and gloomy.Meera understood the reason behind Sameer feeling gloomy.. She decided to do something.. After the Pooja,she decided to call Arjun.
When Arjun accompanied the guests' who were departing from his house,his phone buzzed...He excused himself from the crowd and answered the phone.
''DCP Arjun Suryakant Rawte boltoy hai... Kaun?''
''Main Meera Rathore. DCP Sameer Rathore ki biwi... Arjun ji,kya main aapse do minute keliye baat karsakti hu,please?...''
''Bolo,Meera.. Kya bolna hai?''
''Main jaanti hu,Arjun ji,ki,Sameer ne jo bhi Riya ke saath kiya wo bohut hi galat thha aur isse pachtaave ki aag mein jhulas rahe hai woh... Apne aap se hui galti keliye woh bohut sharminda hai... Har waqt uss din ko,uss halat,khudko kos rahe hai.. Apni behen se maafi mangne keliye bechaen horahe hai... Sirf aap hi ek insaan hai jo meri madat karsakte hai...''
''Kaisi madat?''
''Main chahti hu ki Riya and Sameer ki beech mein saari galat fehmi dur hojaye aur dono bhai-behen ek hojaye... Main chahti hu ki aap meri iss larayi mein madat karein inn do bhai-behen ko milane keliye... Kya aapko manzoor hai?''
Arjun thinks about it for a while and said, ''Mujhe manzoor hai,Meera... Main bhi chahta hu ki Riya aur Sameer ke beech ki saari galat fehmi dur hojaye aur dono bhai-behen ek hojaye... Bhale hi Riya apne aap ko sabke saamne accha hone ka dikhava kar rahi hai,par,main jaanta hu ki usske dil mein kya guzar rahi hai... Main nahi chahta hu ki meri Riya phirse dukkhi ho... Main bhi ek behen ka bhai hu.. Main samajhta hu jab Riya Sheen ko mujhe rakhi bandhte huye dekhti hai... Anyways,kal tum aur Sameer aajana mere yahaan.. Holi Party hai.. IG sir,Coelho sir aur Raghu sir aur unsab ke families' arahe hai...''
''Par,Riya? Riya toh naraaz hojayegi? Meri choro.. Woh toh Sameer ko dekhna bhi nahi chahti hai..''
''Aap dono ke ghar card bhej diya jayega... Kal subha 11 baje aajana... Rakhta hu.. Bye...''
''Bye..''
Arjun disconnects the call and thinks about tomorrow's happenings when Sameer will come in tomorrow's party...
''Sorry,Riya.. Tumhare ijazat ke bagair Sameer aur Meera ko invite kar raha hu,par,yeh zaruri thha.. Main tumhe khush dekhna chahta hu.. Isiliye,yeh kadam uthana parha... I hope tum mujhe maaf kardogi..''
With these thoughts,he goes inside he house,where Riya and Padmini were waiting for him in their room..
