this part will mainly contain the investigation of the case...had to get this part done before i bring in more complexities and closeness...😉😉Part 15
'Samaj aya,mere sath doobara hosiyari maat karna,'Karan flipped his color up and walked away proudly.
Payal was confused.His eyes showed a sudden remorse.She kept looking at the man who now was amusing her,talking chirpily with others on the way.

It was almost night,everyone was retiring to their rooms when Arjun called up Payal.After the initial greetings he asked to speak to Karan.Payal called Karan and he spoke with Arjun for some more time.Since it was late they couldnt talk much.It was planned they would meet at the roadside food stall next morning.
Karan informed Payal and both went back to sleep.
Payal and Karan were sitting with a glass of tea each at the roadside food stall waiting for
Arjun and Roshni to arrive.They arrived about half an hour late and sat down on the opposite chairs quitely.It was quite evident from their faces,it was something really serious.Karan was getting more curious now.
Arjun didnt waste much time and started after looking around the surrounding once,
'Karan,did you ever suspect your father to do something else other than the bank job?'
'any other Job?what do you mean?'Karan asked confused,
'I have checked into your old house which is now sealed,i have found this,'
Arjun gave him a bank statement and it had some lakhs of money withdrawn from another bank.The account holder was his father.
'7 lakhs,itne paise to kabhi dekha hi nehi maine,Papa ko kaha se mila?Aur ye account.Unka account to usi bank mein hai jaha wo kam karte the'
'Pata hai.Is account mein transactions bohot kam hai.Aur account bhi unke arrest hone ke 1 saal pehele khola gaya hai,'
Payal peeped into the statement and looked at their faces.Arjun was thinking sipping his tea while Roshni looked thoughtful and angry.
But Karan held a confused expression.Somewhere these new clues were increasing his hopes, he again gained his energy back,he was now restless to know the truth than proving it,but again everything led to a dead end and he didnt have much time.He kept looking at the statement remembering his father's face when his eyes caught something.
'Ye date,is din to,haan papa pareshan the,normal se zyada,chachu ke sathe jhadra bhi hua tha unka,'
'kis din?'Roshni asked him,
'jis din ye paise withdraw hua.Meri mummy ka shraad tha.Papa was tensed from the day earlier.He went out in the morning which he had never done.He came back soon and went to his room.Puja tha to chachu bhi aye the.Puja ke baad dono Papa ke study mein baat karne gaye.Waha dono mein jhagra ho raha tha.Maine suna tha,per samaj nehi aya.Fir chachu gusse mein ghar se chale gaye,'
'aur fir tumhare chacha nehi aye?'
'nehi dusre din aye aur Papa se milne per mein school mein tha.Jab wapas aya to chachu aur papa ke beech sab settle ho gaya tha.Chacha aur papa ka kabhi nehi banti thi..to arguments were quite normal'
'Karan tumhare papa ki koi secret safe hai?Jaha wo paise ya keemti cheeze rakhte the?'
'nehi mujhe to pata nehi aisa kuch,'
'fir wo paise gaye kaha?'
'iske uncle ke pass ho sakta hai,shayad tumahre chacha ko de diya ho?'Payal said in between,
'pata nehi aisa kabhi kuch suna nehi.Chachu to ek courier delivery ka kam karte hai,unke pass to paise hi nehi hote.Waise chachu kabhi batayenge nehi,'
'thik hai,mein dekhta hu,'
'Mr Rawte apko kiya lagta hai mere Papa...'
'Karan abhi filhal kuch nehi kehe sakta,lekin sach ka pata mein zaroor lagaunga,itna wada kar sakta hu,'
Karan nodded at him.The brother-sister took some alone time and walked to the car while Roshni remained at the food stall with karan.Karan was in distress again.He didnt know what these clues were leading to.Roshni understood that and sat beside him.
'Karan chinta maat karo,is bar sach sabke samne hoga.Arjun pe yakeen rakho,wo tumhe dhoka nehi dega,'
Karan smiled at her but his eyes had tears.
'mujhe kuch samaj nehi aa raha.Ye sab kaha se.Papa aisa kiya kar rahe the ki unko itna paisa mila.Aur wo paise bhi to nehi mile,apko kiya lagta hai,wo kisi musibaat mein the?'
'pata nehi.Karan,ye case jitna simple lag raha hai,uthna nehi hai,kuch bohot bara chupa hai isme,'
'hamare pass sirf 15 din hai,pata lag jayega na?'
'koshish to karni paregi karan,aur Arjun itni asani se harne walo mein se nehi hai,itna maat socho,waise ajkal Payal kafi khush lag rahi hai,aisa kiya jadu kiya tumne?'
Karan was surprised at her gesture,though he loved this closeness she was showing,he too played along,
'wahi jo aap Mr rawte pe chala rahi hai,bhabhi',he said smiling at her.
Roshni glared at him but then lowered her eyes.Arjun called her from the car and she got up.Muttering a small 'bye'and a assurance in her eyes she smiled at karan and walked towards the car.Arjun and Payal were having their usual verbal fight but today the topic was a bit different.
Usually Payal would fight with him trying to convince him to take her back,but today she was fighting with Arjun about Karan.Arjun was still quite skeptical about karan and Payal was trying her best to defend her friend.Arjun finally gave up and got inside the car.Payal looked back to find Roshni behind smiling at them.
'kiya baat hai payal,lagta hai karan ko kafi ache se janti ho?'she asked her smirking,
'bhabhi ap bhi?'payal said with a pout,
'waise karan acha hai,mujhe to bara pasand hai,'roshni said tilting head to look at the angry Arjun,
'dekha.dekho bhai,bhabhi ko bhi pasand hai,ap ek laute ho jo kisi pe bharosa nehi karte,akdu kahike,'
'payal..roshni gari mein baitho,aur payal meri baat ka dhyan rakhna,karan se door,'
'ap log jo sathe mein rehete ho meine kuch kaha?wo mera frnd hai bhai,'payal pleaded,
'frnd hi rahe to acha hai,okay bye,'arjun gave his final verdict,
'bye jaldi jao,aur jaldi case solve karo,'
Arjun glared at her and drove away with a waving and giggling Roshni.

'Arjun mujhe ye chacha bilkul thik nehi lag raha,'
'mujhe bhi wahi lag raha hai,'
'lekin koi saboot nehi hai,'
'saboot hai roshni bas dhoondna hoga,'
'kaise?'
'uske ghar ki talashi leni hogi,'
'lekin warrant nehi hai,kaise lenge?'
'kuch karna hoga,'
They headed back to their police stations.Arjun enquired about Karan's uncle,Anand ,through his informers and came to know that he mainly delivers courier inside the city.A quite lazy man,a few hours of duty tires him.But he is extreme dreamer.Always dreams of luxury and thus hoge amount of money with least efforts.
Roshni spoke to his neighbours and came to know that he was not a good natured man. He often drunk himself to death and reached home with women.His wife left him long back because of his abusive nature.He didnt have children and none in the locality liked him.
She asked them about Mohan,karan's father,and they said they have seen him quite some time visit his brother.But most of the time they would fight and finally Mohan would leave cursing himself.They even informed that karan had started drinking after he came to his house,when his father was arrested and the house was sealed.They have seen the quite lad coming home late in a drunk state and his drunk uncle cursing him and his father.
Roshni and Arjun both now became more suspcious about him.They planned to search his home the very night.

Arjun and Roshni reached Anand's place at sometime after midnight.Arjun looked around the house and headed towards a open window.He asked Roshni to first climb up balancing on his shoulder,but he was surprised to find she was quite flexible and climbed the boundary and then the parapet and reached the window within few minutes.
'Arjun jaldi aao,kiya soch rahe ho,'Roshni hissed at arjun angrily when he was standing down looking at her shocked and didnt climb up.
Arjun came back to his sesnses and climbed to the window while Roshni kept a watch on the surrounding.Both explored different room individually.Arjun took the study while Roshni searched the dining area.
Cupboards,drawers,papers,waste paper baskets,cusions,carpet everything was searched but nothing much resulted.The case was an old one and to find something related to it was quite difficult.
Arjun searched the study and as presumed found nothing.They both moved towards the bedroom where Anand was sleeping on his stomach.Bottles scattered all around the room. Both of them tiptoed inside the room and looked at the sleeping figure.He was snoring hard. Arjun signalled Roshni and they started their search.Avoiding making any sound they searched the table,files,papers,drawers and finally cupboard.
The cupboard drawer made a screaching loud sound and Anand stopped snoring.Roshni was looking on the table.She swifty moved behind the cupboard,where Arjun had hid himself, and banged into him.She was about to shout but Arjun covered her mouth.
'shh roshni mein hu,'he whispered in her ears,
Roshni composed herself and looked towards anand.He was muttering something in his sleep.They waited quitely holding onto each other until he had started snoring again.
Roshni exhaled sharply and looked at Arjun.They were hugging each other close to hide in that small corner.Roshni's face turned red feeling his arms around her waist.She jerked away but Arjun pulled her back again.
'abhi nehi,baad mein,ghar jake,'he whispered in her ears in a naughty tone,
She pushed him and got herself away.They started searching the drawers again.Roshni searched beneath the clothes while Arjun tried to open the other drawer but it was locked.Roshni searched the other places inside the cupboard and found a bunch of keys,hidden behind some clothes.They tried opening the drawer with them and it did.
The drawer contains some rent bills,some useless papers and some envelopes.Arjun opened on envelop and found a bundle of money.Arjun looked at the bundle and then at roshni.She too was surprised at it.
Karan had informed Anand never earned too much.Then a fat bundle of money was pretty unexpected in his house.Arjun kept the money back in the envelop and closed the drawer locking it.He was about to close the cupboard door when suddenly he thought of something.
He again opened the drawer and took out the bundle.He looked at it carefully and then took a note from it.He kept the note in his pocket and closed the door.He held onto a confused Roshni and led out from the house,through the same open window.
Both head back to their home silently.
