Part 4:

Saakshi was sitting in the road side tea shop near ETF and having her tea. She was engrossed in deep thoughts about Arjun. Had she really misjudged him due to the circumstances of their first meeting? Was he the same Arjun Rawte who was held in high regards by the entire police department? She herself had heard a lot about his commitment, dedication and devotion to work. He was referred to as the Man of Steel who was the savior of good and was dreaded by the culprits. She had really been in awe about his persona hearing Commissioner Uncle narrate tales about his bravery, fearlessness and great analytical thinking. She had so eagerly waited to work with him. She was also to a certain extent aware of his haunted past. She had read that intense pain that she was very familiar with when she had met him yesterday. This pain was one of the very few things that they shared in common. Does that helplessness of not being to save his wife push him beyond the limits certain times? She was very well aware of that helplessness of not being able to save the loved ones which she had turned into a resolve to get them justice. Had he at all overreacted? Or was she at fault for pointing a finger at him? She might well have reacted the same way given the circumstances. She would probably apologise to him and set it right.

It was not the only thing that was troubling her right now. She was now an integral part of ETF. With that not only came a sense of pride but also a fair share of dangers that lurked around.As of now she could not let anything harm her life because there was that one soul that had brought her back from dead, giving her new life who needed her badly. That was the sole reason that she had stayed from this profession of hers which was not only a means of earning livelihood but her passion as well. She was living a so called safe and sheltered life with her daughter far away from these dangers till a day Commissioner Uncle had unexpectedly arrived at her doorstep with an offer of a job at ETF. She had at first out rightly rejected it but commissioner uncle had not relented. He assured her that she would be safe with the ETF as they were not just another team but best in the business. They would not let anything or anyone harm her. He had also reminded her of her promises to her dear ones which will only be fulfilled if she joined ETF. He had also assured her that he would take shristhi's safety as his own responsibility because they were now in need of someone who could help in building a good image of ETF among the common people as their image was badly shattered not only due to their out of book methods of bringing justice but also the sought of controversial cases they were handling of late. They needed someone who could bring the happenings as such in front of people. Commissioner uncle had probably felt that she was the right person for the job as she was just one among them and her writing had powers to make anyone believe that she was right. Another thing that might have attributed to her selection was her fearlessness and never say die attitude to punish the guilty. She though unwillingly had to bow down to commissioner uncle as he had the responsibility of her daughter on himself. Now here she was among them in the world she had disowned a little back starting the journey that might well end in fulfilling the mission of her life.

She was brought out of her thoughts by the ringing of her mobile and an instant smile cropped up in her lips.

Saakshi: Hello. Meri pyari pari kaisi hai? Aapko subah subah mama ki yaad kaise aa gayi.

Shristhi: Hello mama. Shree tho achi hai mama. Par woh kya hain na aapko bahoot miss kar rahi hain. Aapko patha hain shree fir se class mein first aayi hayi.Aap hamesha shree ko sweets banake deti hai hain na jab bhi mein first aati.ab kaise dogi? Aap yahan aavo na mama shree ke pass.

Saakshi: Wow congrats beta.Mama bahoot kush hain.Meri Shree tho bohut talented hai aur hamesha first hi aathi hain. Mama bhagwan se pray karegi ki Aap hamesha aise hi kush rehna. Mama abhi abhi tho mumbai aayi thi na beta. Aab mein wahan kaise aa sakthi hoon? Jab aayegi aapko jaroor sweets banake degi.

Shree: Tho mein aajavoun aapke paas mama? I miss you mama

Saakshi: Nahi shree bilkul nahi. Aapko tho school jana hain na. Padayi karna bahoot zaroori hain isseliye aap yahan nahi aayengi.

Shree: Mama shree bhi aapke saath mumbai aa jayegi aur wahan padegi. Aap bhi khush aur shree bhi khush. Ok na mama?

Saakshi: Nahi Shree. Aap yahan nahi aa rahi hain.Mama promise karthi hai aapko milne weekend par zaroor aayegi.

Shree: Promise hain na woh bhi pakka walla. Mama.

Saakshi: Haan beta pakka wala promise. Aab aap jaakar school ke liye thayyar hona teek hain?

Shree: teek hain. Mama bye. Love you.

Saakshi:Bye beta. Mama loves you too.

Part 4(Continued):

Saying she cuts the phone. She had always wished and kept Shree with her till now. Now she had to stay away from her daughter though unwillingly. She had to keep shree away from her so that the dangers that lurked around her job doesn't harm her. So she had put her darling daughter in a boarding school in the outskirts of punished had always taken extra care of Shree so that she would never feel the void of a father. She could do anything and go to any extent to bring a smile on her baby's face. She could never see her little princess disappointed if meeting her will give happiness to her she would go to pune this weekend. This brought back some beautiful memories, the first time she had lifted the baby Shree in her arms. As people say the feeling of being a mother is the best one in the world.She was blessed with this wonderful feeling not once but twice. She had faltered once but not this time.. That thought brought a smile in her lips.

Arjun had just entered the tea shop and ordered a hot and steaming cup of tea for him when he saw Saakshi in a deep thought smiling to her. He walked towards her and sat in the seat opposite to her. She was still in her own world and was brought back when the tea wala placed a cup on the table for him.

Saakshi: Tum yahaan kya kar rahe ho?

Arjun: Wahi jo tum kar rahi ho. Kyun tumme kya laga? Waise akele akele muskurane wale ko pagal kahathe hain.

Saakshi: Jayadha smart bannane ki koshish mat karo.Waise pagal mein nahi tum ho.Sirf apne aap muskurane wale ko hi nahi bina baath logon ko maar peetne wale ko bhi pagal hi kehthe hai. I am asking you why are sitting in my table?

Arjun: Pehale baath. Mujhe smart banane ki jaroorat nahi kyunki mein smart hoon. Dusri baath Mujhe to yahan tumara naam kahi nahi dikh raha hai. Tumare jankari key liye batha doon ki yeh tea shop hai five star hotel nahi. Yahan koyi bhi kahi bhi beith saktha hain.

Saakshi: Very funny. But anyways I was about to talk to you about the thing that happened yesterday.

Arjun: Kal mein ne jo bhi kiya uska mujhe koi afsoos nahi. Aur tume jo samjhana woh samaj sakthi ho. I really don't care. But don't you dare to insult me in front of my team. That will not be good for you. Always remember one thing I am your seniour and mujhe izzat ke saath baath karo samjhi. Agar mujhse ulajne ki koshish ki tumhare zindagi ka vo haal karoonga fir kahi na rahogi tum.

Saakshi: Tum mujhe damakane ki koshish mat karo. Samjhe?

Arjun: Damaka nahi raha hoon. Wahi baatha raha roon jo hoga

Saakshi: Tumse jo hoga vo karna. Mein darthi varthi nahi hoon. Tum aur kar bhi kya saakthe ho. Tum jaise insaan yehi sab tho karthe hain. Anyways i have better work.

Saying that she got up. He was irritated as she was not a bit affected by his damaki. He also got up hurriedly and held her wrist with his left hand and was holding the tea cup in his right hand. She tried freeing from his grip but his grip was firmer. He had come a bit closer to her to make her listen to him when she turned unexpectedly that her elbow hit his right hand and the hot tea poured on her right hand and burnt it completely.. He immediately released her.

She was highly irritated by his actions and started to leave the place when the shop owner stopped her.

Shop owner: Bitiya aapne tho chutte ke paise nahi liya.

Saakshi: Kaka. Woh kya hain na mere baaki ki paise mein inhe(pointing to Arjun) ek aur cutting chai de dena woh bhi jaayda saakar ke saath taaki inke baath mein mithas aa jaye. Wana yeh yehi kahenge ki meri wajahse inki chai giri. De dena.

Saying that she walks away leaving a bewildered and angry Arjun behind

Sameer had just stepped out of the office to inform his second in command about a new case when he had witnessed the incident that unfolded between Saakshi and Arjun. He enjoyed the tit for tat and finally loved the way Saakshi told the shop keeper to add extra sugar to his tea.

Sameer: Rawte naya case hai chalo.

Arjun: Chalo.

They started to go towards the crime scene.
