Diwali... the time filled with light and love, a time where happiness is spread everywhere. In the same way Sakshi does... yes our very own chirpy and bubbly girl who is loved and respected by the whole ETF team for her funny nature and seriousness in work at the same time. Yes by the whole team, although one of them does not admit it. Who you're asking? The famous ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte, who else would it be.
Arjun however had to change all his misconceptions about sakshi when he saw her at the orphanage through which he came to know about Sakshi's past.
It's the day of diwali..on which every year sakshi goes to distribute sweets and spend time with the children there.What she didnt know was that the second hand in command of ETF also goes to orphanages on that auspicious day to spend time with the less fortunate and by coincidence this year arjun decided to go to the same one where Sakshi was.
Arjun entered the orphanage with crackers, sweets and some gifts for the children. It was what he did every diwali since Roshni died, he went and spent some time with children in orphanages, this was the first time he had come to St.Mary's orphanage as it was on the outskirts of the town. After entering the orphanage he had to fill out some forms and after that he was allowed to go and meet the kids. As he was getting to know the children he heard a titillating laugh. It sounded like.. No it couldn't be, saying so to himself he continued playing and talking to the kids.
A girl who hadn't said anything yet caught his eye, she was sitting in a far corner of the room, trying to look invisible. Arjun had already tried a few times to talk to her, and had also asked her to come and sit with the rest of the children, but to no avail. And now he saw a big smile on her face, she was looking at the playground outside. Without saying anything she quickly ran out to the playground, making Arjun look after her. Why was she running?
Here on the playground Sakshi had just entered, she saw the little girl running up to her and picked her up. "Hellooo princess! How are you? Tumne didi ko yaad kiya? Aur tumhari padhai kaise chall rahi hai? Teacher ko tang to achhe se karti ho na!"
"Ohhhoo didi, abhi aap mujhe bhi to bolne do! Main theak hoon, padhai theak hai, aur Rosy ma'am ko maine bahut zyada tang kiya. Aur maine aapko bhi bahut zyada miss kiya! Where were you? Aap itna late aaye aaj!"
"Haan woh kya hai na, traffic mein fass gayi thi, sorry. Aur fir abhi Rosy ma'am bhi milgayi thi, toh unse bhi baat karni padhi... Lekin abhi to main aagayi na, abhi dher saari masti karenge!"
"Haan! Challo!" saying so she pulled Sakshi with her to the other side of the playground. When they reached there the other kids who were outside quickly came to meet Sakshi, they were all happy to see their Sakshi didi, after all she was one of them, and she always came back to meet them.
Sakshi had brought sweets, chocolates and crackers for the kids. She was busy trying to distribute the stuff when someone from inside noticed her. He was shocked to see her there, after all he knew her as the bubbly chirpy miss Publicist who cared mostly about herself. If someone would've told him that she was spending time with the less fortunate he wouldn't believe them, in his eyes she was a spoilt brat who was in the ETF by using her parents power. But why is she here if she is such a spoiled brat? A tiny voice asked him.
Arjun didn't know, perhaps he had misjudged her, or perhaps her parents forced her to do this... Who knew with this girl.
Here Sakshi was having the time of her life with the children, she was enjoying herself. Mary was asking her to tell them about the people she works with, so that's exactly what she did: "Hmm actually jinlogon ke saath main kaam karti hoon na, woh bahut barre superheroes hain!" "Sachiii?!!!!" the kids screamed. This also grabbed the attention of a certain Akdu and he moved so he could hear what she was saying, but she couldn't see him.
"Haan, sachi waale superheroes, aur tumhe pata hai unki team ka kya naam hai?" She asked them. "Haan," Ravi said,"Maine comics mein padha tha, unka naam avengers hai!"
"Nope," Sakshi replied, "Woh kitaabi heroes nahi, balke real life heroes hain, bilkul tumhare aur mere jaise, aur unki team ka naam hai ETF which means Emergency Task Force. The team consists of Sameer Rathore, he is the leader, their chief, you could say he is like Nick Fury of ETF, he is very smart, he is also a very good listener. And he loves bikes. He makes the rules, he keeps us safe. But he doesn't wear an eyepatch, I think I should tell him to wear one, would look super cool na?" Sakshi asked the kids. They all nodded enthusiastically, after all Nick Fury looked really cool with that eye patch!
"Then we have Shreekant Sen, he's like hmmm I think you could say he is the nice version of Tony Stark, he is smart, he loves computers and if we need any information he has it.
We also have Chhotu, but uska na naam hi Chhotu hai, he is 6ft 4inch and he is all muscle... He is the mean machine, jaise ke The Hulk, he is soft and sweet on the inside, he is the perfect commando, kind of like Captain America as well, I think he's got the best of both those characters. He is very underrated, but he is an integral part of the team.
We also have Ayesha, she is the femme fatale, our Black Widow she is capable of doing anything the others can and she is the perfect example of women in power, she is a queen really, aur ho bhi kyun na, after all she is dating Sameer.
And Liza, she is a sweetheart, she is the a forensic expert, something like hmmm I think there is no other female in the Avengers right?" Sakshi asked. "Nahi didi," T, the most naughty girl of the group said.
"Koi baat nahi T, we will add our own, Liza is hmmm.. I don'tknow, anyone else have a good name?"
"Haan!!! Main main!! Usko na Stargirl bana do!!" T shouted excitedly before anyone else could say anything.
'Yeh ladki zarur bade hoke achhe achhe tarke mare gi' Sakshi thought.
"Ok, that's decided, she is Stargirl, waise T naam to bahut achha socha hai, it really suits her. She is our tiny light when all else is dark and even the moon isn't there we have her to shine her light on the case. She is very smart, and she and Shree have an amazing understanding, they fight a lot, but there's a mutual respect, love and understanding between them.
Aur haannn! Main main bande ka to naam lena bhool hi gayi! ACP Akdu Sadu Rawte! Actually na uska asli naam Arjun hai, lekin hai woh bilkul akdu! Uske liye to kissi superhero ka naam dhundna bhi nahi padhega, uska naam hi Arjun hai, woh har chakravyuh ko todd deta hai, bilkul jaise Mahabharat waala Arjun. Banda hai bahut smart, there isn't any clue which he doesn't see, he is always there for everyone, he acts like he is hard, lekin andar se na bilkul bikhar gaya hai..." Sakshi said, drifting off into thoughts of our very own ACP, and on the other side Arjun was also surprised hearing this.
'Usko kaise maloom ke main bikhar gaya hoon?' he thought.
"Aur aap didi, aap kaunsi superhero ho?" Ravi asked her, shaking her out of her thoughts.
"Hmm main? I don't know really, I think I am just a person who follows them around, I write of their achievements, of their losses, I try to show the world the people who keep them safe... Oh and when I'm not doing that I land up in trouble. Woh akdu na thank god humesha sahi time pe mujhe bacha leta hai, nahi to meri to kab se tayi tayi fisss ho jaati. Waise ek baat to main batana bhool hi gayi, you know Sam na sab ko Dammit Dammit karta rehta hai, lekin ussne na aaj tak mujhe dammit nahi kaha. He takes care of me like an elder brother. Shree, he is like my twin, mujhe to na doubt hai, kahin hum bachpan mein kumbh ke mele mein bichhar to nahi gaye the?" Sakshi said, trying to divert the kids mind a bit. Now that she thought about it, what was her added value to this team? Perhaps Arjun was right and she shouldn't be part of the team?
"Ek second miss Anand, you forgot one thing." Arjun said coming from behind her, he had heard her talk and he couldn't stop himself from coming there.
"Arjun tum?" Sakshi asked, a bit shocked to see him there.
"Ohhh aap ho Akdu Sadu?" T asked all excited, one glimpse at the guy and she had plans to write some nice story starring Sakshi and Arjun.
"Nahi beta, mera naam Akdu nahi Arjun hai, tumhari didi ko na bhoolne ki bimari hai, isiliye unhone Akdu kaha." Arjun said smiling at T. Looking at Sakshi he said: " Sab ke baare mein achha achha bataya tumne, lekin khud ka to batana bhool hi gayi." Turning to the kids he said:" Yeh jo tumhari didi hai na, yeh bahut hi zyada important kaam karti hain, yeh na team ko bilkul jodd ke rakhti hai. Agar kissi ko koi bhi problem ho to voh isi ke paas aata hai. Now you tell me, agar hum kaam ke samay mein apni problems le ke chale to will we be able to save people?" All the kids nodded in negative.
"She keeps us grounded, she makes the job easier for us by being herself, she makes us smile when we are falling in a black pit."
"Ohhh aap log Brad Pit pe girre?" Mary asked, all excited as he was her favourite actor.
"Hmm kaash girre hote," Sakshi said, again trying to divert the kids attention.
"Sakshi didi, phir aapka naam to na beautiful dreamer hona chahiye!" T said, "after all aap inke liye itna kuchh karte ho, aur aap beautiful bhi ho, so beautiful dreamer aapka superhero naam!"
"Arre duffer, yeh dreamer kaisa naam hai?" Ravi asked T.
"Tere naam se to better hi hai!"
"Achha achha, abhi bass haan, nahi to main agle mahine nahi aaungi!" Sakshi said trying to diffuse the tension between the two kids.
"Hmm challo, hum patake chalate hain!" Tara said excited, "after all agar diwali pe patakhe nahi chalaye to kya kiya?"
"Haan challo!"
As everyone was enjoying playing with the crackers, one person only had eye for a certain miss Publicist, when she was talking to the kids he had spoken to the head of the orphanage, Sakshi had lived here from when she was just 10 years old, her family brutally murdered and her father was now in a coma. Arjun was shocked, he had thought her to be a spoiled brat, but the truth was something else. He was amazed at how she always acted so chirpy and happy... He really could learn a thing or two from her.
He remembered he had once told her that you shouldn't judge a person to soon, and here he was, he had judged her, and what a wrong judgement it was.

As they were leaving later that night Sakshi said bye to Arjun and went to look for an auto. Arjun knew she wasn't happy that he found out of her secret, so he decided to leave her be.
He got into his car and waited to see if she found an auto, as he had thought, there wasn't any. He drove towards her, and came to a stop next to her. "Sakshi, andar baitho, main tunhe chhod deta hoon," Arjun said.
"Nahin Arjun, tum jao, main challi jaungi."
"raat bahut ho chuki hai, aur koi auto nahi milne vala, aaj to auto vale bhi diwali mana rahen hain, challo, baitho abh." he ordered her.
Huffing she opened the car door and sat down. Arjun looked at her as he started the car. They drove to her place, with them both stealing glances at each other when they thought the other wasn't looking.
When they reached Sakshi's place Arjun said:" Sakshi, main ghalat tha, you are a part of the team, baaki sab ne pehle hi samajh liya tha, bas mujhe hi abh jaake dikha."
"Happy diwali Arjun," Sakshi said while giving him a small smile.
"Happy diwali beautiful dreamer."
Arjun waited until he saw her apartment light be switched on, then he drove of thinking:' Itne saalon baad lagta hai ke meri diwali bhi roshni bhadi thi... Thank you miss Anand.'
