Here goes my second part

Arakshi SS-Destined to be together-Forever

Part 2:

At Commissioner Office:

Sameer and Arjun were walking towards the SUV in deep thought about the letter.

Sameer: Whom do you think is behind all this?

Arjun: We should not worry about who is behind all this but try to find clues as to whom they are going to target?

Sameer: Yes you are right. (Suddenly he gets a call from Aisha)

Phone Conversation:

Aisha: Good Morning sir.

Sameer: Good Morning. Any cases?

Aisha: No Sir. Not yet. I just called to remind you that today is Saakshi's birthday.

Sameer: Oh.. I totally forgot that it's Saakshi's birthday. Ok I will wish her. Aisha has all the members of team come?

Aisha: No Sir. Saakshi and Arjun Sir have not come.

Sameer: Arjun is with me. Try to contact Saakshi and see where she is.

Aisha (Worried): Sir what happened? Is everything Ok?

Sameer: I will come and tell you guys all the details.

Aisha: Ok sir.

Sameer cuts the call and turns to Arjun

Meanwhile Arjun tries to call Saakshi. But she is not picking the call. He tries her landline number; there is no response there as well.

Sameer: Rawte Can we go to ETF? Whom are you calling?

Arjun(causually): Saakshi aur kisko call karunga. But she is not picking.

Sameer (With slight smile): May be she is on her way. Don't worry everything will fine. Can we start?

Arjun: Yes.

Sameer and Arjun had got back into the car and Sameer was driving. Arjun was again found thinking about her. He could not stop thinking about her today how much ever he tried. He had a gut feeling that something bad was going to happen to her. He shoved those thoughts and tried to concentrate on road. But his mind went back to day when she had returned after promising him that she would return within a day.

She had changed nothing in her and had remained unfastened by his indifference. He had secretly vowed to himself that no matter what needs to be done; he will make sure she will quit ETF herself making everyone realize he was right all along about her. He had choked her on purpose during a case to scare her but was surprised when she was not affected by it all. There were many other instances where he had used her as prop to prove the correctness of his deductions during the investigations. But she didn't bow down and coped with everything thrown at her exceptionally well to his utter disappointment. During the course of these events what he failed to realize is that he started giving her more attention than required and was getting affected by her reactions.

Everyday he would find tea, food served for him. After a long time he found himself relishing the food being served not only because it was delicious but also it gave him of a feeling that there was really somebody who was worried, cared for him and made feel wanted after a very long time. But till date no one in his team had done this for him as they were really frightened of his anger but was surprised who had been doing it now. Even though his sub conscious mind knew the answer he was reluctant to accept it, till one day he had seen her bringing dinner into his cabin. He had again brushed it aside stating that he would have done the same thing for any of his team member. Then the next day, he had accidentally overheard Shree and Aisha discussing that the food served for him everyday was cooked by her. He was now confused why would she do all this for him even when he humiliated her day in and day out. Then he concluded that it was due to sympathy for him as he had no one to call his and her means to get back at him as he fired her out of ETF. This irritated him most and decided that he will teach her such a lesson this time that she would not only leave ETF but also fear thinking about him, forget coming closer to him.

The opportunity to drive her away from him presented in the form of a case where one of their team members had to go under cover to fake passport making area to nail a prime suspect of a case. He was quick enough to suggest her name even though he knew she was untrained not a trained professional like them who were used to handling such situations often. Halting all these unwanted concern for her safety that seemed to crop up, he suggested her to go hoping she would not accept it fearing for dangers that lurked around it. That would also provide him opportunity to taunt her about her inabilities and make everyone realize that she was not fit to be in ETF. Shree and Aisha had tried explaining him that she would be put into undue risk as she was not trained for such as they were. By the look of things he thought Rathod believed it as well. He was too adamant to change his decision and nobody could find a better solution. She had been silent all long when others were discussing about the possibilities of sending her then suddenly to his surprise, as it happened more frequently these days she had not only accepted to go, but also persuaded Sameer and her friends who were not willing to send her.

They were only a few kilo meters away from the area, waiting for a signal from her so that they could nab the suspect down. Everything was going as per plan; the suspect has come there but to their shock had recognized her. Now that her life was at stake, they had to go and help her out. They were fighting the goons, when one of the goons had suddenly fired a bullet at him. But she had intercepted the path of the bullet and taken it on her. She had just saved his life risking hers, when he had continuously tried to humiliate her and her audacity to do such a thing for him shocked his wits .He caught her immediately when she was about to fall and yelled at her to remain conscious as long as she can. At that moment when he looked into her eyes as if to find the answers for all his unanswered questions regarding her recent behavior. He could feel her pleading him not to hold himself responsible for this, the same fear of failing a promise given to loved one that reflected in his eyes from the moment he has lost his wife and an unknown emotion. He realized this was not the time for all this and picked up in his arms and rushed her to hospital.

She was taken into the operation theatre immediately, by the time entire team had arrived to the hospital as well. His eyes met Rathod's where he could read disappointment yet again. Those hours were difficult for him and hoped she would survive. Else he had to live rest of his life with guilt that she died because of his decision to send her to that place to prove her incompetence to others. Shree, Chotu, Liza were cuddled in one corner praying for her well being. Aisha was consoling Rathod saying everything would be fine. But he could induce that they held his decision responsible for her current state, but would never voice it openly. It was then OT door opened and a nurse came out. Everybody instantly gathered around her and started questioning her about Saakshi. She said she needed blood immediately as she had lost a lot of blood. Arjun volunteered to donate his blood to her as if to undo his decision that had led her to this state but Shree stopped him and told that he would donate blood to her as he had done enough for the day. Never before has Shree spoken to him in a such a manner even when he had blasted him for no fault of his because he know Shree had always respected him like a big brother. But they were all angry at him because he had forced her into this state. Finally operation was successful and she was shifted to normal ward. Rathod had ordered Arjun to stay with her and take care of her. The rest of the team left back leaving him with her.

He had stayed awake the entire night hoping that she would gain consciousness but she remained unconscious looking at her every now and then. For the first time in he was observing her keenly, she looked so innocent and naive. She looked beautiful and charming even in this state of hers. But still he had a gut feel that she had gone through something as painful as him, which had made her very strong, even stronger than him probably that she could easily hide all her pain behind the heart warming smile of hers. She was not the women she made people believe she was. Only two kinds of people could be happy and lucky, first kind who had endured only happiness and the second type who had gone through so much pain that nothing could affect them more. He would have easily believed till a couple of hours ago that she belonged to first category. But the uncomprehended emotion in her eyes during the eyes had made him believe otherwise. He really wanted to know if at all what he felt was true or a fragment of his own imagination. The only one who could enlighten him was in the hospital bed unconscious. He had strange feeling that she would not want to share her past with anyone even him. He thought night passed very soon for his liking and he had to leave her and go to office.

The abrupt halt of the vehicle brought him to the present. Both the officers entered the ETF premises and went to their respective cabin.

In the other end of the city a certain Saakshi Anand was visibly happy after being wished by man of her dreams first on her birthday. She was reading the message again and again as it was hard for her to believe it was actually sent by him. She had just stepped outside her apartment building and was waiting for an auto to take her ETF. When a car appeared from no where and a couple of people forcibly pulled her into it and drove away.
