Here goes the fifth part

Part 5:

Saakshi freeing herself from his embrace, tried to lift her hand to his forehead forgetting that her hands were tied up. She was on one side happy to see him here beside her after a very long time but also wanted him to go away from her as his life would be in danger. She could never withstand the pain of losing a dear one again and living with the guilt that she was in some way or other responsible for it. She had committed this mistake not once but twice. She will never let history repeat itself. Now she will never let anyone harm people who mattered most in her life be it Neev or Arjun. She would do whatever it takes to drive them away from her.

Saakshi: Neev. Now listen to me carefully. Please don't get too emotional. Leave this place as soon as possible. Don't put your life in undue danger. I love you a lot and can't let anything harm you. So please leave from here.

Arjun was shocked to hear what Saakshi had just said. She loves him too. Then what had he seen in her eyes all along? Why did he feel her trembling whenever he was at least a feat away from her? He had always felt that Saakshi had some hidden feelings for him but never even accepted to himself till this point in time. He was still not sure what he felt for her right now but felt an immense rage and anger when he saw some stranger confessing his love for her and Saakshi acknowledging it. The mere thought that she was somebody else's pricked him deep in his heart and deep feeling within him raised within seconds suggesting to him that she was his and only his whether or not he acknowledged it to himself or to the outside world. It was an emotional turmoil for him. He who always found the missing pieces of puzzles in cases easily failed completely in understanding what his heart was trying to convey to him.

It was when he felt Sameer's hand on his shoulders that the reality dawned upon him. It was not the time to get caught up in emotions but to think rationally and get her out of this situation safely. At this instant nothing mattered neither her feelings for him nor his for her. One thing was all that was significant; he had to save her life which he would do at any cost.

Neev: No way I am leaving you here and going. I will stay with you only. Will you leave me alone had I been in this situation?

Saakshi: No but..

Neev: Then don't expect me to go as well.

Saakshi (Pleading..): Neev Bachon jaisi Zidd mat karo. Please jao yahan se. Tume meri Kasam. Promise me

Neev: No I am not promising because your life is in danger. I am not leaving you alone.

Saakshi (Angrily): Kis zindagi ki baat kar rahe ho tum? Meri zindagi tho teen saal pehale hi katam ho gayi thi. Bas ab ye saanse rukne ki deri hai jo aaj nahi tho kal ruk hi jaayenge. Par tumhari puri zindagi padi hai tumhare saamne isse iss kadar kathere mein math dalo. I can't stand the guilt that someone had lost their life just because they were related to me again. (Mellowing down) Please agree to what I say.

Neev (Helpless): Di.. Ziddi kahin ki. You always make me agree to you. I can't live without you di. I promise that I will take you from here safely. Saying that he hugged her again and left from there without sparing her a look.

Arjun (To Himself): Di. To say he was relieved was understatement.

Saakshi (To Sameer): Can I ask you one thing?

Sameer: Yes. Tell me.

Saakshi: Promise me that you guys will just think like cops and take decisions not let you emotions play a role. Forget the fact that you guys know me. Think as a police officer and take your stand on the issue. Please Sameer do this for me thinking it as a gift for my birthday.

Sameer though unwillingly promises her. She turns to Arjun.

Arjun: Don't expect any promises from me. I am not promising you anything. But don't worry nothing will happen to you. (Turning to Liza): Be with her till we return.

Liza : Ok Sir.

Saakshi: Arjun don't put her life in unnecessary danger. Please.

Arjun: Nothing will happen to you for the next 5 hours so calm down. (Holding her hands in his) Don't get yourself worked up.

Saakshi (Concerned): You take care as well. Don't take any undue risk. Please.

Arjun nods and starts walking towards the team who are standing a few feet away. Sameer was instructing them about the next course of action.

Part 5 (Continued):

Arjun: Shree did u trace the call?

Shree: We are not able to trace the call.

Arjun: Keep trying. I need results. (To Rathod): I think we should go to meet commissioner sir at the earliest.

Sameer: Ok let's go.

Neev who was on the call suddenly block their way.

Sameer: Don't worry. Nothing will happen to your sister. We will save her.

Neev: I will save her at any cost. Now tell me the demands of the culprit.

Sameer: I cannot reveal you anything at the moment. So let me go. I am in a hurry to meet the commissioner.

Neev: Ok then. I am coming as well. Don't even think of stopping me. Nothing you say will stop me from coming.

Arjun: Ok you can come with us. Go and wait near SUV we will come in 5 min.

Neev: Ok come fast.

Neev goes from there.

Arjun: Aisha go with Chotu and scan each and apartment and check if anything is unusual. Shree keep on tracking. Tell me when you have updates. (To Sameer) Come let's go.

Sameer: What the hell. Why should we take him with us? From when have started taking decisions?

Arjun: Just understand one thing. He is too emotional at the moment to think straight and take a course of action. If we leave him leave him here and go after the insistence, he might do something that can disrupt our progress. (To himself): She is really concerned about him at the moment. I can't any risk with him as it would affect her as well.

Sameer: Come on let's go to meet commissioner sir.

Saying so they moved towards the SUV, Sameer started driving .Arjun was seated beside him in his own thoughts and Neev was on a call seated in the back seat.

Neev: Just don't call me today anymore. Manage all the work today by yourself. I am not attending any meeting today. So just don't bother me about any of these deals right now. Send the papers of that land to commissioner's office in 20 min. Other than that no disturbances for the day understand. (To Sameer Angrily) Tell me what are their demands? I am not going leave you till you answer me.

Sameer: I cannot let you know currently. I know you are worried for her but I cannot tell you know. We will do everything that needs to done to get her back to safety.

Neev was about to reply angrily when Arjun interrupted.

Arjun: If you are not willing to reveal it to him it's fine. But tell me now; I have every right to know. I want to know.

Neev (Mellowing down a bit): See both of our goals are same. I am just asking you because I want to know if I could help you guys in anyways.

Sameer: Ok guys. I will tell you. He wants us release two of their people whom we arrested during the drug raid we conducted last month, also return the drugs we seized during that time. They have also asked for an amount of 1 crore as ransom. (Worried) I don't know whether they will agree to these demands or not.

Neev: Don't worry about the money. I will arrange it.

Sameer: Hmm.

Meanwhile they reach the commissioner office and tell him the about the demands. He speaks to the minister about it, who denies accepting the demand and saying he can do nothing about it. Everyone is angered by his reply Arjun tells he will do anything that needs to be done to save her life. They all leave from there frustrated.

Sameer: Damn it. What are we going to do now? These guys are not ready to accept the demands.

Arjun is really disturbed as they have only 3 hours left in time given to them.

Neev: Don't worry. I have a plan that will make them agree to it.
