Part 10:

Saakshi was made to lie in the bed by Pratheeksha. She was really feeling embarrassed after what transpired a few minutes ago. He had just come forward and held her hand in order to prevent her from moving her hand. It was the first time he had shown his concern for her outwardly even though she could sense it on numerous occasions previously. But she got a bit carried away in the moment that she had rested her head on his chest. What would he be thinking about her at this moment? Would he have read her true feelings for him at that moment? He had been so caring towards her, was it sympathy because of events that transpired in the morning. She was certainly feeling awkward after the turn of events to face him. Aisha realizing Saakshi moved forward and sat beside her

Aisha: So how are you?

Saakshi: I am fine. Anyways what are you guys doing here?

Shree: Why should we not come to visit you? We were preparing to surprise you on your birthday but you shocked us.

Liza: Shree she didn't go with them out of her interest but was kidnapped.

Shree: Yes I know. But at last you have realized this phenomenal.

Aisha: Stop it guys. We have come here to meet her and you guys have started quarrelling again.

Sameer: Are you alright Saakshi? Do we need to go to hospital to get the check up done.

Neev (Mischievous Grin): I think it's better we go hospital and have a check up done because I don't trust certain people with my sister's treatment. Doctor tho koyi bhi ban jatha hai, kya patha ki sahi se kiya hai ya nahi? Hain na Di?

Pratheeksha (Playfully): Mr Shergrill , you have doubt whether I am a doctor or not right. We will clear it right now. I will do cardiac arrest for you and release if you remain alive then I am a qualified doctor agreed?

Saakshi: Tum dono bhi na kahi bhi shuro ho jaathe ho? Prathi yeh kya tum mere bhaai ka cardiac arrest karogi? I didn't expect this from you.(Smiling) Anyways Karne me kya harzi hai. Karke dekthe hain Neev tumhari doubt bhi clear ho jayegi.

Neev: Di aap bhi iske saath de rahi ho. Aap mere di ho aur hamesha mera saath hi dena ok?

Saakshi: Di tho mein uski bhi hoon.

Neev comes forward and hugs her tightly.

Neev: Di aap sirf meri di ho. Mein aapko kissi ke saath bhi share nahi karoonga.

Pratheeksha comes forward to get hold of him playfully, when Ramu kaka came calling her.

Kaka: Pratheeksha bitiya aapko hospital se phone hai.

Pratheeksha: Thanks Kaka. Saying that she gets the phone from him. Hello Dr Pratheeksha here.

Caller: Madam there is an emergency. The patient whose operation was done this morning is unstable.

Pratheeksha: Where is Dr Mehta?

Caller: He is not at hospital currently and is not picking up the phone.

Pratheeksha: Ok. Ask Dr. Kapoor to keep him under observation. I am coming. Saying this she cuts the call and hands the phone back to kaka. Kakas please get my car ready.

Neev: kaka ask driver to drop her at hospital.

Pratheeksha: No I will drive on my own. I don't need a driver.

Neev: I am not asking you but informing you.

Pratheeksha: Ok. Whatever.

Saying she goes to her room to get ready. In Saakshi's room everyone is chatting with her and Arjun starts to leave saying he is retiring for the day and asks Saakshi to take care of her. He leaves the room. Neev follows him outside.

Part 10 (Continued):

Neev: Everybody is staying here this weekend. We are planning to celebrate her birthday in a little while. Why don't you stay back as well?

Arjun: No I can't I am leaving.

Neev: Look I am being very frank and honest with you. She is not as strong as she portrays herself to be. She is deeply affected by the turn of the events that happened today. The only way she will be able to cope up with all this is by having people who care for her around her. I don't know why she feels very secure when you are around. I know you care for her as well; I have seen enough proof for that today morning. So I am requesting you to stay with us. I am not forcing you to do anything, the final decision is yours.

Arjun: Ok I will stay here.

Arjun though reluctantly agrees to stay with him. He himself is confused about the decision to stay with them. But one thing is certain; he can never ignore her how much ever he tries. If he being around makes her feels secure then he will stay for her. He had been hiding his care, concern for her under the facade of indifference, then how Neev was able to decipher it within hours. He had found a part of himself in Neev, he was just like the Arjun who he was before the tragedy struck him. Neev voice broke his train of thoughts.

Neev: Come with me. I will give you clothes to change. You don't need to go home to pick your dresses tonight but can bring it tomorrow morning.

Arjun: No it's ok. I am fine with this dress.

Neev: I am not giving my dress to you. Mere ghar mein kapdo ki kami nahi hain I have some new dress that I will give you. I am giving it you because I don't want anybody to look out of place in my sister's party.

Arjun and Neev go to his room to get ready.

Meanwhile Pratheeksha gets ready to go to hospital but visits Saakshi before leaving.

Pratheeksha: Di. I am leaving to hospital. Take care. In case of any problem call me. Here is your birthday gift. You will wear this in your birthday party.

Saakshi: What party? I am not celebrating my birthday. You know I don't celebrate.

Pratheeksha: Di I have organized a small party for you. You are celebrating I am not taking no for an answer.

Team also compels Saakshi. So she agrees. All leave to their respective rooms as shown by Neev earlier to get ready. Saakshi unwraps the parcel and find a beautiful sky blue saree with silver embroidery. She instantly likes it and starts to get ready for the celebration. Her mind unwontedly wanders over the events of the day. It has been a really tough day, mentally draining as well but it also made her realize that she was not alone in this cruel world there were so many people who really cared for her. With that thought came a small desire that she wanted him to be a part of her birthday which she would be celebrating after 6 long years even as a mere colleague. Even though she didn't want any celebration, she couldn't disappoint her friends and brother after what they had done for her today. She had to get ready and go to the party hall.

Everybody started to leave the room so that she could get ready for her birthday celebrations. Sameer was hesitantly looking at her as if he wanted to speak about something to her. When everyone had left and Sameer was about to go she asked him to stop.

Saakshi: Sameer kya tum mujhse kuch kehna chahte ho?

Sameer: Nahi aisi koi urgent baath nahi hai. I think you should get ready.

Saakshi: Nahi Sameer. Kaho kya baath hai jiske wajahse tum kuch pareshaan lag rahe ho?

Sameer: I am sorry Saakshi. I forgot your birthday, didn't wish you in the morning neither I could pick up a gift for you. I am extremely sorry.

Saakshi: Arrey Sameer sorry ki kya baath hai. Tum mujhe ab bhi wish kar saakthe ho. Jahan sawal gift ki aapnon ka saath hi mere liye sabse bada gift. Tum logon ne aaj jo bhi mere liye kiya kya woh kam hai? Anyways dil chota math karo.

Sameer: Nahi Saakshi. I couldn't buy a gift because i didn't know your likes and dislikes that well. So you can ask me whatever you want. I will not say no. So ask me.

Saakshi: No Sameer. You may not be able to give me whatever I ask. So don't promise and make it difficult for yourself.

Sameer: Aaj tum jo bhi mangogi mein woh tume jaroor dunga. Yeh ek bhai ka vaada hi samjho.

Saakshi: Kya tum mujhe jo bhi mein mangongi woh dooge?

Sameer: Just ask and see.

Saakshi: Agar aisi hi baath hai tho Arjun ko maaf karke usse apni dosti aur saath wapas de dho.

Sameer: Yeh tum kya keh rahi ho? I can never forgive him. You know what happened right? Then how could ask something of this sought?

Saakshi: I know and completely understand what happened. That's the reason I am asking you to forgive him. Us din jo hua tha woh nahi hona chahiye tha. Par shayad tum bhi kahi na kahi janthe ho uss din Arjun ki galathi nahi hai. Zindagi mein kabhi kabhi aisa mauka aatha hai hum uss insaan ke liye kuch nahi kar pathe jisse hum humari zindagi se bhi jayda pyar karthe hai, Aur iss duniye mein yeh dard se bada aur koyi dard nahi hota. Woh insaan tho ek hi baar mein mar jaatha hai par hum uss haatse ke bare mein soch soch kar aur yaad kar kar karke haazaaron mauth har pal marthe hain. Waqt beeth jaatha hai. Duniya bhi badal hi jaathi hain. Par hum wahi ki wahi reh jaathe hain jahan woh hume chod kar gaya tha.Woh ab isse daur se guzar raha hain.Roshini ji tum dono ke liye bohot kaas thi, agar woh Arjun ki biwi thi tho tumhari bhi dost aur behan thi. Isse liye tumare liye bhi ye maana mushkil hai woh ab nahi hai. Par tumne tho kudko saambhal liya hai Sameer. Woh ab tak sambhal nahi paya hai aur aaj tak wahi hai jahan tum usse Roshini ji ki mauth ke waqt chooda tha. Jab tum dono ko ek dusre ki sabse jaytha zarorat thi tum dono ne ek dusre ka saath chod diya hai. Aaj bhi tum uski bahoot parwa karthe ho aur woh bhi tumare parwa kartha hai par dono jaathate nahi ho. Aaj bhi Rathod aur Rawte ki beech mein kahi na kahi uss koye hua Arjun and Sameer ko mehsoos karthi hoon. Aaj bhi jab kabhi woh apni zindagi ki parwa kiye bina usse katre me daltha hain tho tum usspar gussa issliye karthe ho kyunki tum aaj bhi usse takleef mein nahi dekh sakte.Tum dono ki zindagi mein job hi kuch kamiyan hain woh sirf tum donon hi poora kar saakthe ho.Bas tum dono ko apne ego's ko door rak ke sochne ki doori hai. Usse apni dosti aur vishwas dekhar sambal lo Sameer kyunki jab Sikander lautega usse tumhari sabse jayda zaroorat hogi. Yeh mera vishwas hai ki agar tum dono saath ho tho Sikander zarror katham hoga. Shayad Roshini ji bhi yehi chaahthi hogi ki unki pathi aur dost firse ek ho. Just think about it and make a decision. You don't need agree just because I am asking you to. Jis din tum uski taraf haath baadvoge, uss din samjho tumne mujhe zindagi ka saabse badha thoofa diya hai.

Sameer (Thinking): I will surely think about what you have said. Happy Birthday Saakshi. Get ready for the celebrations.

Saying this he leaves her alone.
