good point Shilpa...
Till now we have seen many episodes, where we had victims who took law in their hands, even they had suffered so much, and then they decided to take justice in their own hands and give their own punishment... and then we had, be it Arjun or Rathore, always saying that no matter what law was above everything, every emotion... Taking this into consideration, then definitely Arjun didnt have the right to shoot that criminal like that, that too taking revenge for Shree...
People say professional, duty and personal things should be separated, but i guess it's not something easily done at all, not even for trained officers...
Till now only Rathore has remained the most professional, he always put his duty before everything...
But putting that apart, i feel if i had the chance i would myself have killed that monster, he didnt deserve to live at all... so i did have an immense pleasure(lol maybe i'm becoming evil) when Arjun shot him...
And since Shree himself asked Arjun not to take any hurried decision, i feel that what Arjun did will seriously have some repercussions this time... Last time when Arjun had beaten Pathan, Rathore had saved him, i wonder who will save him now?!
Because let's not forget law is law, and no man should be killed like that( though i hate it, some people deserve to die)...
Let's see what awaits us now...

it is justified as a human as that killer deserv this death but not justified as law
If I was there may I also do that what was arjun done
but law doesnot give a power to a police too that kill a man after get a chance to arrest him

This, Shilpa, is not what bothered me about yesterday's episode. It was what I have set out in my first post in months in this forum, in

A crude, violent and ugly episode this Sunday

https://www.indiaforums.com/forum/arjun/3746873/a-crude-violent-and-ugly-episode-this-sunday

The key paras are reproduced below for ease of reference. The whole was enough to make weep in frustration and revulsion, to see what has happened to such a wonderful serial. I do not know how many of you share my horrified revulsion; I hope there will be many.

"Unfortunately, our favourite serial seems now to be falling on bad, and sad times. It is not just that Rathore has vanished - though with his leaving, it can be seen how necessary he was as a balancer to Arjun. Chotu seems to have gone missing as well. So the ETF conference table looks empty, like an over large dining table for a family of just 4/5.

Far worse is the deteriorating quality of the scripts. When a superior crime series starts falling back on deranged serial killers, as Arjun has been doing for the past 2-3 weeks - with murderous auto rickshaw drivers and a tantrik organising a human sacrifice of his own son to get back his dead wife - it is a danger signal.

But it was yesterday's episode about the doorbell killer that was the pits. Firstly, where was the need to make such a very violent episode - with a nail driven into the forehead of a gentle and kindly priest by the boy he had befriended and brought up, people stabbed in the throat with knives, a woman killed by asyphixiation and stuffed in her own refrigerator?

And the most horrible of all, the unclothed body of a raped and strangled teenager, covered only with a towel, her hands tied to the bedposts? And with the killer luxuriating in a foam filled bathtub? When I watched that child on the bed, I felt like throwing up.

It was perversion at its worst, for that image, following on the earlier shots of the killer fondling a photo of the girl in shorts, was clearly meant not to horrify, but as titillation. How many copycat murderers would you bet that those scenes inspire? It was SICK.

Why do the writers, the director, the producers, have to stoop so low? Yes, we all know that such horrors are a daily occurrence in one part or the other of every country in the world. There are enough crime reality shows covering those crimes, and they are aired later in the evening, when children are in bed, and moreover one knows in advance what to expect from reality shows about the seamier side of life.

But Arjun is a prime time show at 8 pm and many children, who are still up then, must be watching it. Are they to be treated to the nail in a man's forehead and that child on the bed?

It is disgraceful, and I intend to take this up strongly with the Broadcasting Control Commission, in the faint hope that they might be able to get the producers of Arjun to clean up their act. I would urge those who share my reaction to this episode to do the same, and also write to the channel and to the PH. It is absolutely necessary.

But if this is the way they mean to continue, I only hope that Star Plus pulls the plug on the show well before December, so that we are not subjected to any more ugly, violent and perverse episodes like the one of Sunday, September 22, 2013".

Yeah its me again, I am like that bad penny, you never know when I will turn up.😉

So folks, Arjun killing the Psycho at the end, justified? He had an opportunity to arrest the man, but no he killed the guy, execution style. He told Shree he would try not to kill him but in the end he did it.

Why?

There have been other Psychotic killer like the one from today's episode, why didn't Arjun kill them instead of arresting them?

From my POV yes the man deserved to die for the brutal way he killed innocent people. Just because he was mental and psychotic doesn't excuse what he did.

Yeah you guys know what this is about. Few weeks ago I made a post about hypocrisy at its best and some didn't like my views, but I ask again how was this different?

Arjun was angry because his own teammate was attacked by the Psycho, and he decided the man won't escape death at his hand and that was it.

So will he be any different when it comes to Sikandar? Because Sikandar killed the love his life, his wife, will that be justified killing?

If an attack on a team members makes him react the way he did today, then I can't even imagine his reaction when he comes face to face with Sikandar.

And yes, I am glad that he killed the Psycho in today's episode, not only for Shree but for all those innocent people too.

Disclaimer: This topic is about Arjun the character and his action in today's episode not on the actor who plays the character, so please keep that in mind before you decide to comment on this thread.

Vidya, Payal, and all my other young friends here,

How is it that not one of you seems to share my sick revulsion at the crudeness, the ugliness and the perverse titillation in yesterday's episode? Showing the rape and murder of a child, the killer, who was earlier shown fondling that young girl's photo in shorts, luxuriating after that in a bathtub full of foam, his benefactor with a nail in his forehead courtesy this monster - all this is a 8 pm show when children might be watching? It was sick. Have we all become so desensitised or is it that I am an oversensitive and jurassic relic?

Hey B1...

Perfect topic for discussion and debate!

This is my POV about it...
I dont know about whether it was legally right or not...May be legally, the right thing was to arrest him and send him to rehab or something but I dont think anything would have made that monster mend his ways...He had got his chances to recover but he didnt! He was taken up by that church father but he killed him...He was sent for treatment but still he was having that violent streak...

He was a rotten apple which needs to be removed once and for all from the world
And thats exactly what Arjun did also...I felt a sense of relief and joy when Arjun finished him off point blank!

He killed so many innocent people and what he did to that doctor's daughter was horrible and he deserved nothing but death for that!

Many crimes would stop or atleast decrease if there were such on the spot punishment to criminals whose crimes are proved beyond doubt...And this world would be a better and safe place to live in!

Coming to Sikandar, I guess he deserves to die as well...right or wrong, may be i would want to see him being killed by Arjun...I do that in my stories as well and in the show also, i want to see that happen!

Hello...
I saw many lomg long comments on this post and thought to read and then post...but ...
so its POV...
That Arjun killing the psycho was not needed...
I mean I know he attacked Shree and Arjun got mad at this or whatever the reason might br ..
There were psycho killers before also and there Iam sure there are still many ..
So Arjun taking law in his hand according to me was not justified...Because (according to our show) Its only arjun who can succeed in delivering justice to many such innocents who are still and in future will fall a prey to such people...
So killing someone who could have been arrested like others and putting all those in danger according to me was not justified...because we all know Arjun was warned in the Pathan Lala episode not to take law in his hands and then he had just slapped him...I wonder what will happen now because then Sameer sir was there now ... Lets see ...I am bit scared for the next episode
P.S I also agree with you on Sikander's face off...

riddiculous
and the way he was shot by arjun he deserves this

guys jab arjun apne team fellow pe attack karne walon ka ye haal karta hai to u can imagine what will happen to sikander i 'm damn sure he will kill sik

par kuch log ke saath aisa hi behave karna chaiye
anyways guys i thin'k he is inspired from the hollywood actors as they directly shot the criminals 😆

Nice post dear...

I m not going to the good or bad effects of the episode.
I m just following the TM...

Well...What Arjun did may be legally wrong as the killer is not doing anything
consciously.lf we present him before the court he may be advised for
a psychiatric treatment..But the thing is, he is not a sociopath or a serial killer..
He is a psychopath killer who had an evidence of conduct behaviour in his
early teenages itself. It may coming under advanced stages in psychiatry..
In these patients in most cases medication and counselling may have only
temperory results..So coming back to a normal healthy life is almost impossible for him.
He may be kept in internment for his life time..In that way, his death ia a
good thing nt only for the society but for him also..

In addition to this, there are reasons like revenge, concernment, faith, duty
etc. etc.
So in total, what Arjun did is totally excusable for me...

About Sikhandar, I dont think he deserves any mercy..
He involves in most of the crimes like homicides, drug smuggling etc.
So Arjun's revenge is justifiable not only for him but for the good
of all humanbeings also...
