ch9.Soon,the MCB and ETF jointly started their investigation of the case.Both the teams' shared their investigation reports and tried to find a clue,so that they can find the culprit.Reports which were left out were brought in from the respective police station. Riya,being an efficient police officer,kept all her personal differences at bay and worked like a true professional.The work pressure was taking a toll on them.Whenever they got some free time,Aayesha and Shree took some coffee breaks.Riya was so much immersed in finding a clue,that,she didnt even realise,she took the coffee mug from Shree and drank from the cup,which she used before,when she was a part of ETF... Shree was somewhat happy by her gesture and prayed to God,so that all the differences gets sorted out.
After days of intense search,they found a clue,which stated that some exchange is going to take place in a deserted godown,near Malad...Everybody prepared themselves properly,as this was the final chance to nab the killer.Soon,Crime Branch and ETF went to the deserted godown area and took their positions for the attack... Riya signalled them to follow her and Sameer.The whole godown area was surrounded by police in plain clothes.Back up teams were present there...
As soon as Riya gave the signal,heavy firing started..The people inside were shocked at the sudden firing by the police.The criminals also counter-attacked and heavy firing took place from both the sides. After some moments,as many men were killed from the goon's side,Riya and Arjun went inside to check for any left evidences,while others scanned the whole area and arrested other goons who were hiding.
Suddenly,someone was about to attack Riya from behind,when Arjun reached the spot on time and held the culprit's hand tightly.Arjun's hold was so tight,that,the criminal was groaning in pain. Arjun was about to throw the culprit on the floor,when,he took a gun,which was lying on the floor and shot towards Riya... The surroudings froze for a second,but,thankfully,the bullet grazed Riya's arm and fell...
Arjun got very furious and started to beat the culprit,black and blue..Riya,who was groaning in pain,clutched her injured arm and went towards the culprit and slapped him thrice... She forcefully took out the cover and was shocked to see Sanjay there...
Others also reached the spot after hearing the sound of the gunshot.Arjun was shocked to see the sight infront of him... Riya sat on her knees and clutched Sanjay's hair in fist and asked, ''Kyun kiya yeh sab?''
''Haan,maine yeh sab isiliye kiya kyunki mere baap ko zyada se zyada orders milte thhe drugs supply karne keliye aur drugs dealing ki duniya mein unka sabse bari pehchaan thhi... Mujhe apne baap ki jagah leni thhi... Isiliye,maine pehle unhe jail se rishwad deke chhuraya aur baad mein unhe mardiya...''
Riya clutched her fist in anger and clutched his collar tightly and said, ''Mujhe sharam aati hai ki tum mere dost thhe... Naam kamane keliye tumne itni ghinoni rasta chuna... Tumhare pita ko toh iski saza mili bhi thhi aur ab tumhe milegi... Adbhay,le jao iss kamine ko... Comissioner sir ko inform karo ki yeh case solve hochuki hai...''
''Yes,Ma'am...'' Adhbhay replied and Sanjay was sent to the jail and the police sealed that area.
Paramedics was there and they attended the wounds of Riya.Arjun was affected the most,seeing Riya injured...He went towards Riya in the Paramedics van and took the bandage from the Doc and started to do the dressing,quitely.. At first,Riya wanted to snatch her hand,but,then,she let him do his own.. She fixed her gaze on Arjun's face and looked at him very carefully,as if trying to read his emotions...
''Aaj bhi tumhe meri chot aur dard bardasht nahi hota hai tumhe... Jab bardasht nahi hota,toh,mujhe itne dukh aur dard kyun diye? Kyun mujhe chhorke gaye thhe jab mujhe attempt to murder ke charges keliye jail bheja gaya thha? Tum mujhe bacha sakte thhe,par,nahi bachaya tumne mujhe,Arjun... Tum jaante thhe ki,main nirdosh hu,phir bhi tumne mujhe doshi karar diya... Issi karan,main tumhe maaf nahi kar paungi...'' Riya said in her mind.
''Main jaanta hu ki tum kya soch rahi ho,Riya... Haan,abhi bhi mujhe dard hota hai tumhe dard mein dekhte huye... Uss waqt main tumhara saath nahi depaya kyunki mujhe apne farz nibhane thhe... Shayad,main tumhari maafi ke layak nahi hu,par,ekdin aisa zarur ayega,jab tum mujhe maaf kardogi...'' Arjun replied in his mind.
Soon after Arjun did the bandage,everyone went to ETF office and did the remaininbg paperworks.After the paperworks finished,Riya took a copy of all the reports and paperworks with her and bid everyone bye and went towards Crime Branch,where she finished her work quickly and went bak home to have rest after a tirng day...
