Well.. u seem to have a good point.

Initially I also used to think a little likely.

But from the last 2 cases, I have seen a change in her. A little more responsible and serious.

Well... What I disagree with is Sakshi's comparision with Ayesha/Riya.
Professionally speaking.

Ayesha/Riya's profession was of an officer. Where they are TRAINED to be serious. Thats the reason they are called OFFICERS after all.

Whereas Sakshi is just another journalist. And her nature is bubbly.
It is rather difficult for her to change her behavior soon after joining an Investigative team.

How can people change from someone they have been their entire time to someone totally new.

But one thing is worth noticing... When it comes to her work or mission, she turns damn serious. Is she quite strong then. And no one, even Arjun can beat her there.

And I definitely think her character can be written better... Like showing her more contributing. Even more than she is at present.

But if that happens to be slow, it shouldnt be a problem. After all, it would take a loads and loads of time for a journalist to behave as a cop.

@amri..
i hate to admit it, but i do think you are right.. she is chirpy and cheerfull.. but sometimes, it's at the wrong times..
i think her character now is to just add comic relief to an otherwise serious show.. hopefully, over time, the heads put more depth & dimension in to her character..
and don't worry no one will bash you coz you voiced your opinion😉
PS: i agree with shanzy's view of her character being a stark contrast to that of arjuns.. as in like both have faced a lot in life, yet they both mask their feelings differently..

Thanks for agreeing! We do seem to be soul sisters:)

That is a good way of looking at it! As you pointed out, it's all a matter of perspective.

Thanks!

Thanks for the honest and insightful reply!

Of course, it would be unfair to compare the three women profession wise, they belong to two different worlds- journalism and law enforcement.

And yeah, as you said, it seems that Sakshi has more to her than her bubbly self- which is precisely what I want to see.

Just like the scene about her dad, I think the writers can show something about her- what are her likes and dislikes, her strengths, what makes her tick, etc,.

Waiting to see how the writers tap the immense potential of this character and make her more relatable😊

I appreciate everyone's point of view and i think all the female leads of arjun whether it's roshni, riya, sakshi, aisha, liza are better in their way

So i think we shld not cmpare anyone of them

Regarding sakshi's character nowcv's trying to give her some serious lines

But still i think that they r not givin enough justice to sakshi's character. Her lines are very few from last couple of shows..

I absolutely agree with you.

First of all I still don't understand how is a journalist working with a police force, I mean journalists are definitely trained for THIS.

To be in the police force you need to have proper training, they have to deal with hardcore criminals every damm day, and for me atleast allowing anyone untrained in this job does not make sense.

Coming to her nature, well being chirpy and bubby is fine,.but she really needs to understand the seriousness of her job, which I feel she lacks sometimes. And as you said she isn't being really much productive too.

Coming to Liza, I was actually looking forward to her character, but have been really disappointed. Forensic experts are the one telling the time of death, the cause, giving important clues about the murderer…well I mean to say forensic experts do have a very important role to play while solving any murder cases. But we hardly get to see Liza, and as you said Arjun almost does everything.

Thanks a lot for sharing your view!

Agreed, Sakshi needs more serious lines and screen space in the show.

Thanks! Very good to see like-minded people here.

Regarding the journalist with law enforcement issue- agree.

It is completely absurd to show untrained civilians in such risky situations.

But this trope seems to be the order of the day- even American soaps like "Castle" have a writer following an NYPD detective😕 But it seems to be somewhat acceptable to me, because when writers show how an outsider brings in an out-of -box thinking apart from routine police work, it is very refreshing in terms of the content.

So I forget all that and enjoy the show because Castle contributes to each case and brings in his own unique perspective and insights.

In fact, Sakshi is very similar to Castle in many ways because she is very self-assured, chirpy and tries to break the barriers between her and the protagonist, just like Castle with his female partner.

I guess the writers of "Arjun" were aiming at something similar. If only Sakshi's inputs were added more in case solving, I'd be happier.

And Lisa is a major disappointment. Many years of watching shows like CSI and Bones have taught me that forensics often become an indispensable part of crime investigations.

It would be very nice if the writers showed both Lisa and Sakshi as women of substance.

Hey i watch castle too, yep there also Castle is a book writer working with the NYPD... BUT as you said Castle contributes much to the case, he has got his own ideas and insights with are more than often very helpful.
Well call me biased, or prejudiced or whatever..I like Castle's character much more :P😳😆
About Castle Kate and Arjun Sakshi...well maybe...i am not commenting on this as i am too fond of the former, while still unsure about the later.
Hmmm maybe, well but in this show we get to she Arjun doing almost everything, maybe if Sakshi starts contributing to the cases more I'll start to like her or so😳
I am a HUGE CSI fan and i watch Bones too, !! exactly..Forensic experts are very very important..even in Indian shows like CID also they do show the importance of the forensic sciences while solving the case...but here they hardly show Lisa, forget her contribution

Eeks!

Looks like we have the same taste in TV shows!!!😊

And agreed, I like Castle more than Beckett.

He is such a sweetie, following an emotionally closed woman who refuses to tell the poor guy that she likes him!

He is charming, sensitive, loving, charismatic...I could go on and on!!!

You love Caskett (what a horrible shipper name😆) and are unsure still about Arakshi? Same here😃

Reg Lisa, I guess Indian TV is not yet equipped to make forensics an essential part of police procedurals.

It requires an immense amount of research. I don't blame the writers, when they have to churn out two episodes a week, it's tough.

American crime shows air one episode a week, and often take lengthy breaks in between.

But here, I think quantity counts more than quality And yeah, CID seems well-equipped on the forensics front, I wonder how?
