d reason may be (these are some stupid reasons)

1. that was an extra switch board,,, khanna used that for connecting table fan,, no one in the new office need it...

2. the switch was located close to the floor... no one bothered to use that inspite of the other switch boards

3. the switch was near the Girl's chair... Avi used to love her.. n so chose that switch so that he can go and stand close to her (normal lover's mind)
