9:00 p.m.
"Shree, tumne Rathore ke phone ki last location trace ki?"
"Haan sir...lekin..."
"Kya lekin?"
"Sir, unke phone ki last location unka...unka ghar hi tha..."
"Kya? Aisa nhi ho sakta..."
"Sir aisa hi hai..."
"Yeh Rathore gaya kahaan?" "Chalo, uske ghar hi chalte hain"
And the trio left for his home.
Rathore's home
9:45 p.m.
She was busy sobbing. Where was he? The only question in her mind.
Riya tried to comfort Megha, but...
"Meghu, plz chup kar jao na...Sir theek hi honge"
Suddenly, the door bell rang.
Riya opened the door.
"Arjun Sir, aap yahaan?"
"Haan Riya..."
"Sir kuch pata chala..." as she moved to make way for the trio to enter inside.
"Nahi, Megha kaisi hai?"
"Aapko kya lagta hai?"
He was silent, he knew what she meant.
"Megha, plz sambhalo apne aap ko, Rathore jahaan kahin bhi hoga, theek hi hoga."
"Kaise sambhalu Arjun? Tum mard logon ki yahi problem hoti hai...Tumhein yeh sab nautanki lagti hai...and I guess tumhein bhi yeh nautanki lag rahi hogi...but u guys don't realize, how much this thing effects us."
He was again silenced. He was lost in some other world...

"Kahaan reh gaye they aap Arjun? Aapko pata hai na ki mujhe acha nhi lagta jab aap itna late aate hain."
"Roshni, mein police waala hunn, der raat tak kam karna padta hai mujhe."
"Acha, toh ab apko apni biwi se jyaada apni naukarai pyaari hai."
"Nahi biwi ji..." he said, as he hugged her and kissed her cheeks.

"Arjun Sir? Arjun Sir?..." she called out his name few times...but he didn't respond.
Few seconds later,
"Haan haan ha...an Riya, kya huya?"
"Kuch khaas nhi sir, mein toh bas aapko aise hi..."
He shot her a glare, and moved away from her.
"Kya yaar Chotu, jab dekho yeh Arjun sir apni Ri ko aise treat kyun karte hain?"
"Hmm...acha question hai Shree, lekin iska answer mein soch ke bataunga..."
"Tu bhi na Chotu, tubelight hi hai..."
Exactly an hour later,
10:45 p.m.
The door bell rang again. This time also, Riya went to open the door.
"Sir,...sir aap...?"
"Kyun kya huya? Mein apne ghar nahi aa sakta?"
"Nahi sir aisa kuch nahi...woh bas..."
She moved away, making way for him to enter inside the house.
"Rathore, Kahaan they tum? Tumhein maalum bhi hai ki Megha ko tumhari kitni fikar ho rahi thi?"
"Yeh mera personal matter hai Rawte, aur behtar yahi hoga ki tum ismein interfare mat karo. Aur tum log yahaan kar kya rahe ho? Tum logon ko apne ghar nhi jaana?"
"Sir woh toh hum iss liye aaye they kyunki Megha di ko tension ho rahi thi ki aap aaye kyun nahi..." Shree spoke up.
"Megha mein bolkar gaya tha na ki mein late ho jayunga...Ab now that m back home, please aap log yahaan se jaane ka kasht karenge?"
The trio realized that their chief wasn't happy with their presence. The trio with Arjun, left for their respective places.
In ETF SUV,
Arjun was driving the SUV, while Riya was sitting next to him on the passenger seat, and the duo, on the backseat.
Shree : "Yaar Ri, aaj Rathore sir ko kya huya hai? Kuch idea hai tujhe?"
Chotu : "Mein bolun?"
Shree : "Haan bol tubelight"
Chotu : "Agli baar agar tubelight bola toh..."
Shree sensed that Chotu was somewhat angry at him for this 'tubelight' thing.
Shree : "Acha baba sorry...khush?"
Chotu : "Haan khush. Yaar mujhe lagta hai ki Rathore Sir shayad...kisi baat ko leke tension mein they.."
Before anyone else could speak up,
Arjun : "Haan Chotu, woh toh lag hi raha tha...par aisi kya baat thi jo woh batana nhi chahta tha aur humein wahaan se jaane ke liye keh raha tha, Kahin toh kuch chut raha hai..."
Riya : " Yes sir, maybe aisa kuch ho joh woh humein na batana chahte hon, maybe something personal? Kyunki agar koi professional reason hota toh...thoda bahut toh woh bata kar hi jaate..."
Arjun : "Woh toh theek hai par, aisi bhi kya baat thi...?"
Riya : "Sir, mujhe pakka yakeen hai ki kuch personal matter hi raha hoga, shayad humein interfare nhi karna chahiye, aur agar mein galat nhi hunn, toh Rathore sir kal office mein aakar sabse pehle sorry hi kahenge..."
Arjun looked at her confused. Rathore will say sorry for his behaviour? NO!
Arjun : "Tumhein kyun lagta hai ki woh aake Sorry hi bolega, Miss Riya Mukherjee?"
Riya : "Kyunki woh chahe jitne bhi strict ho, apni galti ke liye sorry pakka hi kehte hain, aur unhein yeh pata hai ki woh hum logon se kuch zyaada hi rude way mein bole hain."
Shree : "Wah Ri! Tujhe bada pata hai..."
Riya flashing her cute dimpled smile, "Thank u! Thank u!"
'Yeh larki ajeeb hai, sach mein ajeeb...' Why was he thinking about her? Why? Just Why? Was she someone important in his life? His heart answered...yes.
Rathore's home
From the moment he came back, she wasn't talking to him. Even he didn't talk to her, because he knew that she wasn't in a mood to talk. But he couldn't let her stay like that. She was his life, his everything. But he had to break this silence. He looked at her. She was sitting on the sofa, just expressionless...
"Meghu, khaana khaya?"
She didn't reply. He walked towards the sofa, and sat next to her.
"Meghu, jaan I'm sorry. I'm really sorry jaan. Please don't be silent like that, just speak something. Agar gussa hai toh slap me or beat me, but plz don't sit like that..."
She looked at him.
"Kya bolun mein Sameer? Kya bolun?"
He noticed her eyes. Her eyes were red. She had cried a lot, a lot, and those eyes told him everything.
He cupped her face and made her look at him.
"Jaan I know ki ur very much angry at the moment. But please let me explain you, ki kis vajah se mein late ho gaya...Please?"
In ETF SUV
The duo of Shree and Chotu were dropped at their respective places a few minutes back. Now it was Riya's turn to leave. She opened the door to leave, suddenly,
"Riya, mujhe kuch baat kehni thi tumse"
Is he going to purpose me? OMG! Sachi? Stop thinking like that! That day will never come. He doesn't love you the way you love him. You are just his colleague, nothing else.
"Yes...yes sir..."
"Riya, woh...please mujhe galat mat samajhna...lekin, kya kal hum log...I mean, u n me, coffee pe jaa sakte hain?"
She stood there speechless. Did he just ask her for a coffee?
"Sir...sir coffee?"
"Haan coffee, matlab agar tumhein problem na ho toh..."
"Sir sach mein?"
"Haan Riya...sach mein..."
"Sir aap mujhe plz pinch kijiye, mujhe vishwas nhi ho raha..."
He had no other option, but to pinch her. After all, he had to make her believe the fact that he had asked her for a coffee. 😊
