Part 1

Arjun closed his eyes. Roshni's angelic face flashed infornt of his eyes. Her smile, her fake anger on him, memories flooded down. All those romantic moments of those beautiful 4 years came down his mind. Those automatically brought a little smile on his face, involuntarily.

But it was soon replaced with a frown, with anger, with misery as the memories changed and was replaced with a knife going in her stomach, her silent shriek. Which never came out of her mouth, but was clearly loud enough in her brown eyes. This pained Arjun even more. She didn't let out her pain even then. Even then she thought of him more, she didn't want him to be pained by hearing her scream. He hoped she screamed at least, cried in pain. It would have made him feel'less guilty.

Arjun couldn't take it anymore. He opened his eyes in frustration, to meet another pair of eyes. These eyes matched his eyes colour. And many other things stored beneath them. It had the same anger, same frustration, same recklessness and many others. Some Arjun couldn't comprehend.

But that didn't matter now. What mattered was that, she noticed him. She witnessed his emotions right now. Arjun never wanted to display him emotions infront of anyone. He never wanted to appear weak infront of anyone. But he did now. And THAT TOO INFRONT OF HER.

She was the last person whom he wished to witness him go weak. And it happened yet again. He was very confident she would laugh at him. Make fun of his condition.

And as expected, she smirked. It was funny for her, how the tough, strong-hearted police officer to everyone could go weak, have an emotional outburst.

It was clearly evident to everyone that she didn't like him. But the real truth was something else, that only She and Arjun knew.

SHE HATED HIM!

She was him with disgusted and he reflected back the same. They were lost in each other's eyes, but the only difference was that it was not Love, liking or a mere respect. But hatred, mocking and disgust.

"Sakshi!" Rathod spoke up, a little loud, when he didn't have any response to his earlier calls.

This brought them out of trance. Shree and Chotu looked up at Rathod and then at Sakshi, wondering about the reason for their chief's loud voice.

"What?" Sakshi barked back instantly, only to be focused with four pairs of eyes going wide.

And two pairs in a condition to pop out. 'She barked back at Rathod sir?' Shree and Chotu exchanged shocked glances at each other.

Immediately realizing her mistake, she composed herself and said in a calmed voice now.

"What's the matter Sir?"

"Sakshi I want you to go to the crime spot once again and ask the neighbors once again. Ask them if they know anything more about this boy, Akash."

"Fine." She turned to Shree. "Shree come with me." She ordered Shree.

Shree instantly stopped his work and looked up at Sakshi. How much he wished to be given an option. He didn't want to go with her. Were too seniors less that one more is included in the list to bark orders at him? Chotu placed his hand on Shree's giving him and pity look.

Suddenly Arjun also shouted, "No. Shree is going with me. I need him."

Shree was happy, he thought, 'Aacha hua. At least Arjun sir ke attitude se used to hun. Kaam karne mein aasani hogi. Warna phir se phehle Sakshi ma'am ki attitude ke saath adjust karna sikhna padhta, uske baadh hi toh mein inke saath kaam kar pata. Arjun Sir, aaj ke liye I LOVE YOU."

"Hey Bhagwan!" Sakshi made a disgusted face and turned towards Arjun. "Tumhe sach mein Shree ki jarurat hai, ya isliye chahiye kyuki meine isse maanga."

"Mujhe tumhe explanation dene ki jarurat nahi hai."

"Woh isliye kyuki mein jo kaha woh sach hai, bas ACP Arjun Rawte ko accept nahi karna."

"Tumhe agar bhul rahi ho toh mein tumhe yaad dilana chahta hu ki mein tumhara SENIOR hu." He glared at her.

Shree and Chotu wished they had brought pop-corn with them.

Sakshi smirked, "Jab logo ke paas kuch aacha nahi hota bolne ke liye toh ye hi kuch ghisi-piti line bich mein laate hai. Mujhe nahi pata tha ki ek din Arjun Rawte ko bhi yesi koi line use karne ki jarurat padhegi. Ab aapki next line kya hai. 'Sakshi mein tumhe aakhri baar warn kar raha hu, next time suspend kar dunga'. Kyu SIR?"

Arjun fired up, and was going to yell when suddenly the person who was more fired up barked.

"Enough! Office hai yeh mera. Koi kabaddi play ground nahi. Apna drama badh karo."

They stopped reluctantly. But continued to glare at each other.

"Rawte. Sakshi.!" Rathod shouted.

They turned to face an angry Rathod. "Mujhe next time yeh tamasha mere office mein nahi chahiye." He ordered.

"Yes Sir." They said in union. Chalo kuch toh saath mein bola, both Shree and Chotu thought.

"Shree!" Rathod barked at him. Shree immediately jumped up.

"Yes Sir." Shree said.

"Tum Sakshi ke saath jao." He ordered.

Sakshi smirked. Arjun shot a glare towards Rathod. But Rathod glare was more ferocious. Arjun turned to see a smirking Sakshi. How he wished to rub that off her face. That was the thing he hated the most, Her winning smirk.

"Chalo Shree!" Sakshi said.

Shree left with Sakshi with a heavy heart. But he noticed the change in her voice. Rathod taking her side has lightened her mood. 'Chalo mera din itna bhi bura nahi jayega' Shree thought to himself.

Chotu too left to get a cup of cold-coffee after such heated movie.

Here in the conference room, Arjun and Rathod continued to glare at each other.

"Tumne Shree ko mere saath aane kyu nahi diya?" Arjun asked.

"Kyuki tum shayad bhul rahe ho ki ETF ka chief ab bhi mein hi hu. Yeh decision lene ka hak abhi bhi mera hi hai. Tumhara nahi." Rathod retorted.

"Chief ho, par partiality bhi karte ho. Humesha uski side lete ho." Arjun accused him.

Rathod smirked, "Tumne meri partiality dekhi kaha hai, Rawte? Ab tak partial nahi hu. Hone par majbur mat karo." He said and left.

Arjun fumed inside the conference room alone. 'I lost again. Usse phir se mujhe par hasne ka mauka mil gaya. Tumhe bich mein nahi aana chahiye tha Rathod.' He thought to himself.

A few hours later.

Rathod, "Neighbors se kya pata chala?"

Sakshi was about to answer but'

"Zyada kuch nahi sir. Unka yeh kehna hai ki, Akash Jyoti se milne rehta aata tha. Toh, its clear ki uska boyfriend tha. Unhe aur zyada nahi pata. Jyoti ne kisike saath Akash ke bare mein baat nahi ki thi. Par dono ke dekh ke lagta tha ki who ek dusre se bohot pyaar karte the. Mostly sab elders rehte hai us flat mein, toh unhe Jyoti ke ghar, raat ko kisi ladke ka aana pasand bhi nahi tha." Shree prompted to reply.

He then happily looked at everyone, after filling with them with information. He happiness was the same as that of a child who just answered a question that the teacher asked. But his grinned disappeared as he saw Sakshi looking at him with serious expression. He then realized that he had interrupted Sakshi.

He gulped. 'Kya kiya Shree tune? Ab yeh Shreni tera raita banna ke kha jayegi. Trip par aachi thi toh kya hua? Ab toh tu gaya. Hey Bhagwan mujhe utha lijiye. Mein waha aakar aapko help karna chahta hu. Mere paas latest technologies bhi hai aur unhe use karne ka idea bhi. Aapke bohot kaam aaunga.'

But to his surprise, Sakshi smiled. And turning his surprise to shock, she chuckled. She shook her head at his childish antics. He changed a shocked look with Chotu.

Whereas on the other hand, Rathod and Arjun looked at her, they were also surprised to hear that new sound. They had never heard it since she joined ETF.

"Shree'Tum bhi nah!" She said.

Arjun and Rathod looked at her, then at Shree. 'Shree always managed to lighten up somebody's life. He was indeed the joy of ETF.'

Sakshi realized what she did. She first turned towards Arjun, to see his face if he was making fun of her emotions, like she did at his. But he wasn't. He was just looking at her. She searched in his eyes, if they were mocking. But there was no mock or tease there also. She saw something else. But didn't wish to see more of it or think about it.

She looked at Rathod, who was happy to see the change in her. His eyes beamed with that happiness, although there was no such shown on his face.

She took a breath and composed herself. She turned to Rathod and said, "Sir, that's not important. What is important is that, when I was talking to one of the neighbors, she told me that one night she saw Akash ringing Jyoti's bell. When Jyoti opened it, she was surprised to see him."

"So?" Rathod asked, representing everyone's confusion.

"So iska matlab, Jyoti ko pata nahi tha ki Akash aane wala tha. Usne Jyoti ko prehand information nahi diya tha." Sakshi said, sounding very obvious.

"Han toh isme itni badi baat kya hai? Woh Jyoti se pyaar karta tha aur use surprise karne ke liye usse bina bataye aagaye. Pyaar mein yeh sab chalta rehta hai, for your kind information." Arjun asked her, mocking at her foolishness and lack of knowledge about love and things done in relationships.

His expectations to see a flared Sakshi was flushed down the toilet, when he found her giving him a I-didn't-expect-that-from-you look.

She said, "Sir, for YOUR kind information, let me tell you that Jyoti lived in a civilized society among respectable people. If Akash really loved her, then he should have understood the fact that she lives among people who don't look up properly to such a forward relation where the boy comes and spends his night in the girl's house. Jyoti was looked down upon by many. And obviously it's not that she was not aware of it. The dirty talks about her must have reached her ears. And no girl, from a good background would like to hear such things about herself. If Akash really loved her, he must have thought about it and NOT MAKE Jyoti life miserable there. He would never show up at her place to SURPRISE her, that to without informing her. Cause that would bring more of misery than joy.

Plus Jyoti is from a good background, so Akash has to be from a good background as well. Jyoti is today's girl. She will not fall some street-wanderer. And so if Akash is from a good background isn't he supposed to be knowing of these things? He should have a good idea of what things can make a girl's life miserable."

"But then Jyoti also let him inside. Why didn't she asked him to stay away?" Chotu asked.

But before Sakshi could reply Arjun answered

"These points out few things, first Jyoti was a 21^st century girl, who didn't mind a live-in. Second she expected Akash to marry her, soon. Third, she didn't have the power to say no to him and hurt him."

"Summarizing up, Jyoti loved Akash a lot, but Akash didn't LOVE her because if he did he would never hurt her? Right?" Shree asked.

These words rang like bells in Rathod, Sakshi and Arjun's mind. Rathod replied with a heavy sigh, "Yes."

Sakshi looked at her watch. It was 8 pm. She packed her bag in hurry got up and informed Rathod, "Sir, I will take your leave. Meet you in the morning. Good Night Sir."

Before Rathod could reply Arjun said, "The case is not over yet. We need to solve it fast. It should be our top most priority. Not going home and resting. Do you keep forgetting that you are an ETF officer?"

Sakshi stopped and closed her fists. She let out a heavy sigh. She was about to reply when Rathod said, "Good Night Sakshi. See you in the morning at 9 am."

Sakshi smiled at Rathod and then smirked at Arjun. She gave him a pity look and left.

Arjun clenched his fist and glared at Rathod, to which Rathod replied with a mocking smile, "Hum sab bhi chalte hai, kal subhe milte hai. Rawte, tum chahe toh yaha rukhke case solve kar sakte ho."

Leaving behind an Angry Arjun...
