Her jaws dropped when she saw him. His right eye was swollen, bruises all over his face, arms. It looked like he had been into a serious bad fight.

Chotu, Are you okay? She asked in a worried voice.

Yeah, I am okay, he replied.

Kasie ho gaya yeh sab? She was surprised.

Um..woh main…main Bathroom mein gir gaya tha, he lied.

*Flash Back*

When he bid goodbye to shree and walked a kilometre away from the caf, he noticed a bunch of people approaching him with sticks in their hand. He saw the same guy from the caf leaning on a car, smirking at him.

Bathroom? She asked raising an eyebrow at him.

Yeaahh, he replied nervously.

She knew he was lying, but she thought of ignoring it this time. Okay, Be careful next time, she said hitting his shoulder playfully.

Ouch! He cried.

OoOps I'm sorry, she said making a cute face.

Take a leave today, wasie bhi aaj sirf ek party attend karni hain and sushant is coming to pick me up, she said grinning.

Oh ofcourse him, he muttered to himself.

Haan? She gave him a perplexed look.

Okay, he replied and left.

7:00 a.m

Chotu's Place

He woke up from a peaceful sleep, thanking the pain killers he got down the bed. He prepared himself a cup of tea and switched on the television, flipping the channels and pausing at the news channel.

BREAKING NEWS!!

The news flashed on the screen- Sanya Kapoor and Sushant Mehra ends their relationship??

The reporter said, They met, they fell in love and now they are on the verge of ending their relationship, the usual story of tinsel town. But this came as a complete shocker. Presenting before you the biggest break up story ever!

Sanya Kapoor and Sushant Mehra, they bonded on the sets of their first movie Yeh Dil and their chemistry set fire onscreen. The couple was seen together yesterday in the party thrown by Riyaz Khan(common friend) but things didn't go pretty well. If sources are to be believed, Sushant well known for his over possessiveness for Sanya, indulged into a fight leaving a miffed Sanya behind marking the end of the party, which is allegedly the reason for their break up.

Only time will tell if they try to reconcile and we may get to hear a patch up story!

23^rd or 26^th maybe?

No 28^th!

Yes this is the 28^th time he is hearing their break up story. Yes, their relationship had its ups and downs but they never broke up. But what if they really broke up this time? You never know!

Things were not going well between them from past few weeks and Sushant is quite hot headed, he might have actually been in a fight last night.

Damn it! He cried.

Why did he miss yesterday's party? He cursed himself.

Chotu are you crazy? It does not matter if you have attended or missed yesterday's party because they haven't broke up, came a voice from his mind.

But, he tried to retort.

No ifs and buts chotu, the voice replied.

I have this strong feeling that something is wrong, He said without any second though.

And I guess this is the time to tell Sanya how I feel about her, he added with a hope.

And what about Sushant? The voice asked.

Time heals all wounds, he replied feeling a bit ashamed of the fact that he is taking undue advantage of the situation.

As you wish, the voice became fainter.

And the only way to find out is……

But how will he confess his feelings?

Idea!

He got up and searched for a pen and a paper and started writing his Haal-e-dil.

9:00 a.m

Sanya's House

He took out the paper from his pocket and stepped inside the living room. He saw her sitting on the couch, digging the spoon into a big bowl of ice-cream, she was watching the same break up news. She is clearly upset, he acknowledged. She switched off the television and started weeping quietly.

Oh My God!

Sanya was never affected by such news before.

This means they…they they actually..

Broke up??

His happiness increased leaps and bounds when he realized that they are not a couple anymore. He felt like dancing and shouting and expressing his joy. He pinched himself to make sure this isn't a dream.

Aah, he cried. It was a bad idea to pinch, he thought.

The sudden voice made her jump as she didn't knew he was around. She turned her head to see him.

All the joy vanished from his face as he noticed her face. Her eyes were red and slightly puffy as if she has been crying for a long time.

He stared at her stunned, Is everything all right?

He knew nothing was. But still he didn't imagine her to be so much affected.

She got up and walked towards him.

Yeah, she replied in a low voice gently wiping her tears and sat down on the floor placing her hands on the couch. He took out his handkerchief and gave it to her. She looked at his forwarded hand and then at the handkerchief and took it and broke into tears again.

His heart sank when he saw her teary eyes. Placing his hands on her shoulder, he supported her and made her stand.

Look at me Sanya, he said. She looked away. He placed his finger under her chin and made her face him.

She wiped her tears with his handkerchief.

Sanya, tum….he stopped midway when he saw a big rock on her ring finger.

She saw his looking at her fingers intently, she smiled and replied it is my engagement ring Chotu!

Engagement ring??

Tears sprung up in his eyes, he looked at her completely bewildered.

But she was completely oblivious of his reaction as she was busy admiring her ring. She continued, Sushant proposed me yesterday after the party, can you imagine! She exclaimed.

Imagine? Could he ever imagine that?

She narrated him all that what happened yesterday, how Sushant and the other guy entered into a fight because the other guy tried to misbehave with her and how he fought for her. How can she forget the proposal!

The way he proposed her on the way to hospital in the ambulance as he was badly injured.

So, you were crying because he got hurt? He managed to utter, joining the dots.

Haan, she replied in an obvious tone.

Toh tumhe kya laga?? She looked at him confused.

He stood there still expressionless, wondering how his world turned upside down overnight.

What was he thinking?

They both together?

May be it was never meant to be…

Chotu??

Chotu?? She called him again breaking his chain of thoughts.

He could not hold the tears any longer.

Sanya, I have to make a call excuse me, and he rushed outside without even letting her speak.

She saw at him storming out of the room in amazement.

Ab isse kya hogaya? She muttered.

She saw a piece of paper lying on the floor. It might be his, she though.

Chotu? She called for him but he already left.

She bend down to pick up the crumbled bit of paper. Opened it carefully and what she read left her completely stupefied.

It read-

Koi itna chahe tumhe to batana…

Koi itna palko pe bithaye to batana…

Pyar to har koi kar lega tumhe…….Sanya!

Par koi meri tarah nibhaye to batana! ; )

She lifted her eyes and gazed towards the door in astonishment.
