CHAPTER 40:

He was taken to hospital to nurse his wounds. Shree and Riya was waiting outside. She was worried for him. Lately he is been to hospital frequently. She kept pacing up and down.

After some time the doc comes out.

Riya: how is he doc? Everything alright?

Doc: nothing to worry miss. Bas thode chot lage hai peeche, but nothing serious. And yes kaafi weak hai. aur dard bhi tha. Tho tranquilizer diya hai. he is sleeping for now. But he is out of danger.

Riya sighed and thanked the God. She went in with Shree. He was sleeping sideways due to the bandages behind him. She went closer to see him sleeping peacefully. She smiled at his relaxed posture. She saw Shree smiling at her. He went out to call and inform Rathod about the state.

She sat by him and stroked his hair. He was sleeping like a baby. She smiled and caressed his cheeks and kissed his forehead. She took a chair and sat by his bed. She leaned foreward and placed her head near to his head. They were so close to each other that their foreheads were almost touching each other. She kept on caressing his hair. He snuggled a bit in his sleep. She kept her hand gently and put him back to sleep.

Shree came in a while. he saw her placing herself near to Arjun. sleep was drifting to her eyes too. Shree was happy for his best friend. He too took a sofa a bit far away in the room not disturbing them. The day was tiring. He leaned his head back and closed his eyes.

Rathod Aisha and Chotu came after the formalities. They were surprised and happy to see his team members sleeping. Riya was close to Arjun and Shree in a sofa. Rathod knew that his team deserved the sleep along with others. "we'll come later. Unhe sone do. Chotu tum jao aur rest karo. Yaha ka case ab Goa police handle karenge. Our work is over."

Chotu: aur Aisha?

Rathod: hum ek bar doc se milthe hai. I'll take her to the place. You may go. Aur ho sake tho Shree ko bhi lejao. Ithne time se apne laptop ke samne the. Thak gaye hoge.

Aisha was so happy to see his concern for each of his team member. It was truly a family feeling. Chotu went and called Shree slowly. He woke up with a puppy face and saw Chotu infront of him. "kya yaar Chotu sone do na…" he hugged Chotu's legs. Aisha and Rathod were smiling at Shree's antics. Chotu slowly made him stand. "Shree.. oye sleeping beauty… uth.. (he went to his ears) dekh Rathod sir hai yaha.."

Hearing the name he woke up suddenly. "kya.." Chotu closed his mouth suddenly while Rathod said sh………

All looked at Ariya. They were not disturbed. Rathod signaled Shree and Chotu to leave. They left and he turned to Aisha who was smiling. He asked the matter with his eyebrows.

"kuch nahi sir… aap chief kam, aur Pappa zyaada lag rahe hai…" she smiled at him. He rolled his eyes and moved out after looking at Ariya again.

They met the doc who assured him that Arjun was fine. He made arrangements for taking care of both Arjun and Riya as she was weak too. He made Aisha to have a check up of her cuts, though she protested. And at last they drove back to their place.

Aisha was tired. But inside she was so happy. She peeped at Rathod who was driving. There was a relaxed face over him. They reached the place and first checked for Shree and Chotu who were already asleep. He sat heavily on the sofa, tired to the bits. She saw him and went to the washroom and quickly got freshed up and went to the kitchen area.

After a while he heard her voice and saw her bringing in 2 mugs of hot coffee. He took and she sat opposite to him.

"are you alright sir? Aapko bhi rest ke zaroorath hai"

"hm.. " he sipped the coffee. He wished to speak his heart to her. But he knew that she would need some time to adjust. And he respected it. while she was waiting for him to open up. She never thought much about such feelings before, that time her only concentration was her work. But lately she was open to many types of feelings. the one that Shree Riya and Chotu shared. Of friendship and masti. The one that Shree and Chotu had to their seniors. It was almost they worshipped them, a sense of a big brother type. The bond of friendship between Arjun and Rathod amidst some bickering. And the one she saw with a lot of happiness- the love between Arjun and Riya. She was happy for them.

Rathod noticed a smile on Aisha's face. "kya hua?"

"hm…..kuch nahi sir bas Riya aur Arjun sir ke bare mien soch rahe the. They are so lucky. After all they found their true love"

"pyaar har kisike ke naseeb me nahi hotha Aisha. Aur jiska hai, usse jald se jald uska ehsaas bhi hona chahiye. Kahi der kar diya tho…" he stopped in middle. Se looked intently at his face. "Aisha, meine jo pehle kaha tha, I really meant it. but koi force nahi hai. bas jo man me tha wok eh diya. Par uske bare me zaroor soch lena. Aur answer jo bhi ho, our friendship will never change."

She didn't know how to respond. "ok, then tum jake rest karo. Hopefully hum kal dopahar se pehle niklege. Commissioner sir tumhe wapas Mumbai bulaya hai. so we'll go together. Now go and get some rest." He smiled and went off to his room. she too left after the initial stage of shock.

Next morning Arjun woke up after the sleep. He saw an angel sleeping close to his face with her hand over his head. He smiled at the angel and gently placed his hands over hers. She woke up with a start and was welcomed by a cute smile. She smiled back. "good morning Arjun…"

"good morning Riya. Ab har roz mujhe aise hi utna hai."

She blushed and kissed his cheeks and tried to get up bur he held her back in her position. She stayed there. "kaise ho?"

"teekh hu Riya" they stayed for a long time, and were woken up by someone coughing loudly.

She stood up blushing when they saw the whole team over there. Rathod came to him. "kaise ho Rawte?"

He smiled crookedly. "fine"

"ok. Good. Doc ne kaha hai ke tumhe aaram ka zaroorath hai. so you stay back here till he says.Riya will be here too. Aur hum wapas jarahe hai"

"hum??"

"hum means the team and Aisha"

"of course…" Riya noticed his crooked smile.

"so…?" Arjun asked raising his eyebrows at Rathod. He nodded yes.

"par…" Arjun asked again. Rathod shrugged as if 'I don't know'

"hm… tho ab…?" Arjun asked for which Rathod just said "dekthe hai"

Shree, Choto and Riya were confused with the monosyllable talks. Aisha almost understood but kept quite with a smile. Arjun looked at her and nodded with a smile. She nodded back.

They left and Riya went to him who was still smiling. "what was all that about?? Kahi dostana tho nahi?"

Arjun was shocked now that he started to laugh aloud. Suddenly he winced in pain. She rushed to him and started stocking his back. "Arjun… sambhalke… please…"

it was paining but her care took it away. He looked at her with slight pain in his eyes and smiled. "dostana…really??"

Riya blushed. "sorry then what was that??"

He thought for a while. now there was nothing to be hidden from her. "wo… Rathod … aur Aisha…."

She blinked her eyes. "WHAT?? Kab? Really?? Kaise?? Kya wo…"

"relax Riya… bas baath uthne badi nahi hai… just started.."

"ok.. great na?? lagthe hai ETF mien ab bohot pyaar bharne wale hai"

"wo tho hai!! par mere kya hai??"

"hm.. I know what you mean. Ab jaldi se teekh hojao. Mujhe wapas jake meri shaadi ki thayari jo karni hai"

"acha tho shaadi karne wali ho? Congrats. Par kisse??"

"hai koi.. ek khadoos, akdu insaan…"

"khadoos and akdu. Interesting. Tho kya wo tumse pyaar karthe hai?"

"uske bare me tho patha nahi. Par me tho fida hu unpe. Kya attitude hai!! kya hot hai!! haye rabba…"

"good good. Ab shaadi kebaad, bache ke bare me kuch socha hai??"

"ha.. of course. Kyu nahi?? Ek chota sa nanha sa beta… bilkul apne papa ke tharah"

"EK??? Lagtha hai ke thera akdu sirf khadoos hi nahi kanjoos bhi hai!! bache tho bohot hona chahiye!!"

"acha ji… aapko kya problem hai? ithne sare bachonko me kaise sambhalege?? Huh??"

"mien hu na….!!!" he held her close to him. She was blushing profusely. "hat…. Besharam…"

"isme besharmi ki kya baath hai?? ek bar shaadi hone do… fir dek lunga tumhe…"

She smiled and placed her head close to his. "tho jaldi teekh hojayiye!! Hume shaadi karni hai na??"

She pecked his lips and lay close to him with her head hidden in his chest.
