CHAPTER 10:

Arjun and Riya were moving ahead slowly and silently. They waited near the window. They saw the family sitting together in the hall, all scared and trembling. "Riya wo goli jo pehle chale he' wo in family members ko nahi laga hai. I think wo sirf darane ke liye chala tha' but ye log akhir kya kar raha hai? What do they want?"

"sir' ander 4 log hai'"

"nahi Riya' 5' missed the one who went into the kitchen now." Riya was impressed. ACP Arjun was back in action.

"sir koi iss tharaf aaraha hai." They hurried to hide. A man was coming out. "Sir please take your gun out'" Riya noticed that he hadn't touched his gun. "nahi Riya' I think I'm not ready for it now."

"but sir''.." before she could complete a man came out. He saw her and raised his gun. Arjun who had his back to the man, saw the reflection on the window pane infront of him. She pulled Riya and ducked in time. She was firing back. But couldn't hit him. The noice alerted everyone inside. 2 more men came out leaving the family with just 2 men. Rathod and team used this opportunity to tackle those 2. Shree and chotu took the family to safety and rushed back.

There 3 men were continuously firing at Ariya' s direction. They couldn't do anything other than hiding. "please sir.. take your gun'"

"not yet Riya'" he took a wooden piece nearby him and threw it to their dirction. It hit a man on the shoulder. All 3 goons were distracted and Arjun used this time. He moved toward them and hit violently. Riya also rushed in with Rathod and had a full on fight. At a point Arjun saw a man aiming his gun at Riya. He couldn't move. His instincts took his hands towards his back and removed the gun and fired at the man' he dropped dead.

Arjun was all the more confused. Rathod Riya shree and Chotu were happy to see him back. But the next moment it drained.

Arjun was looking at his gun that he just fired now. Some flashes were coming and going infront of his eyes.. someone riding a waterbike' chasing a boat' someone jumping and firing someone else' a girl aiming at dartboard' he could see the shadows' but couldn't see the faces clearly' he closed his eyes. The gun dropped from his hands... he was holding on to his head.. the flashes were hurting his head like hell'. He couldn't hold on more... he collapsed on to the ground'

Few minutes back:

Rathod and team were worried to see a tensed Arjun. He was having some weird expression on his face'.sweating' his gun dropped, held on to his head and fainted'

Now:

All rushed to him. "Rawte utho'.. Rawte'"

"Arjun' please uthiye'" Riya was worried. Chotu stared the SUV and rushed him to the hospital. He was kept under observation with doctor howering over him. After some time a doctor came out. "Doc, hows he?"

"aap sab paagal hogaye ho kya ' officer?? How many times I told you not force him to remember anything?? Unhe rest ke zaroorath hai... aur aap sab usse seedhe field pe legaye... How can you do this?"

"but doc, he was fine over there...Wo bilkul normal behave kar rahe the... until he shot that man"

"what he shot some one?? Sir please try to understand' wo ab jo bhi kar rahe hai, wo bas ek instinct hai' please give him some more time to adjust and understand what is going on" the team was silent. "dekhiye sir, I know that you all want your friend back, and believe me I too want the same thing. Bas unhe zyaada stress math do'"

"ok doc, I 'll take care from now on. We are sorry. Kya hum usse mil sakthe hai.?"

"sure' but don't call him now' he needs rest." all went in. he was sleeping peacefully. All felt bad. "shayad doc sahi keh raha hai' ye mere wajah se hua hai.. I should not have asked him to come."

" Sir aise math kahiye' aap bas unhe wapas lana chahthe the.. nothing more.. please don't blame your self."Riya stood by him. He smiled weakly. A call came and he excused to go out.

Riya came closer to him and caressed his hair. Shree and Chotu were silent. Though they used to pull her legs taking his name, now they felt sad for her. After all she was their best friend.

"patha hai Chotu' aaj mujhe waha pe hamara purane khadoos ko firse dekhne ko mila'" she smiled gloomily.

They came by her side. "khadoos?? Ye tum bol rahe ho Riya?? Mujhe tho laga tha ke tumhe sir ko aise bulana pasand nahi tha'" they smiled trying to keep the atmosphere light. Rathod came in. he was really worried. All saw in and came to his side. "kya hua sir?aap bohot pareshan lag rahe ho?" he looked ahead to make sure Arjun was sleeping.

"team we have a problem.. we have a new case.. aur'"

"aur kya sir?"

"I don't know how to handle this one" he was really tensed. "kya hua sir? Kaise case hai?"

"its Sikander'" now they knew the trouble.

"patha nahi Rawte se kya kahenge? Hum usse zyaada stress de nahi sakhthe. Aur naahi hum usse bahar rakh sakhthe hai" all were worried now. "ab kya kare sir?"

"humme iske bare mien Arjun se chupana hoga' usse iske bare mien patha nahi chalna chahiye'"

"KISKE BAARE MIEN RATHOD? AUR KYA CHUPANA CHAHTHE HO TUM LOG?"

They didn't know he was awake some time back. All stunned and turned to him'.
