Chapter 12

Arjun came out of the room to see the other members of the team look upset. Shree and chotu gave him a glance and quickly looked away but not before arjun seeing that they were upset. Before he could ask them what is the problem neha came and said " sir, a bouquet has come."

Everyone became alert aware that this time also the bouquet also came from her. arjun came and saw this bouquet was completely different from the last bouquet. While the last bouquet seemed professional made and had a company logo at the bottom of it, this bouquet came in a vase and was handmade. Not only that while the last bouquet had only red and white roses, this bouquet had different flowers but not just any flowers but those flowers which was each member's favourite.

Sameer liked blue rose, aisha liked lotus, shree like jasmine, chotu liked sunflower, liza liked white rose and arjun liked tigris flower. The bouquet looked colourful but it spread wariness among each member because it made everyone aware how much she knew about each one. Arjun's phone rang signaling the same blocked number. Shree tapped into arjun's phone and signaled him to take the call.

Arj: hello

Son: well hello acp and the team. Did you all like the bouquet?

Arjun decided to give his honest opinion.

Arj: it's beautiful.

Sonia (in a surprised voice): wow, acp you continue to surprise me. I just thought that you would say that the bouquet was bad. Usually people do that but you are not like others. So did your team like it?

Arjun saw everyone nod their heads. They decided to give their honest opinion.

Arj: they liked it too.

Son: thank you so much then. I picked it and decorated it myself.

That came as a surprise for everyone.

Arj: why?

Son: I have my reasons.

Arj: before you tell me again that you forgot the real reason you called why don't you just tell me the place?

Son: wow, acp you remembered. But I can't help. Talking to all of you makes me lose track of time and my purpose.

Shree mouthed " how all of us?"

Son: of course I am talking to all of you. you all are listening in on this conversation and giving me your own answers.

Everyone stared shocked at the phone. How the hell did she know what they just thought?

Son: don't rack you brains over it. the answer is completely different and weird than what you think. And acp I would like to meet you at...

The place spoken shocked everyone and felt a sense of dread among them all. Everyone sensed that this girl is going to change their lives forever.

Chapter 13a

Sameer called team except arjun to the cabin. Without any preamble he directly asked " I have been noticing that you are passing disappointed glances at rawte. Now is not the time to get emotional so clear out whatever the problem is now. We have to focus on this case."

Everyone passed a glance with each other and nodded. Sameer said " I don't want any nodding. What is the problem? tell me."

Shree asked hesitantly " sir, does'nt arjun sir consider us as his family?"

Sameer got shocked and understood that they had listened on their conversation. He smiled a sad smile and said " shree, why do you think like that?"

Chotu: then why would he say like that to Aryan and anoushka?

Sam: everyone, you all remember the saying action speaks louder than words?. They nodded. Sameer said " that is true in arjun's case. He never easily admits that he has given a place to someone in his heart not to anyone, not even to himself. But when he finally realizes that he will protect like a lion. Arjun already considers this team as his family but he will never admit to anyone so easily and will deny if someone asks him this question. So have patience because one day he will admit it himself that you are his family.

Ais: not you. us. he will also include you also sir.

Sameer exchanged a grateful glance with aisha but he knew that it will be difficult.

Sam: now go and whatever information we have to find out about that place find it because sonia is planning something and that something includes rawte in it. disperse.

Everyone dispersed after feeling lighter from hearing sameer. Arjun saw from far and understood that sameer had already placated their worries. He also understood that they thought that he did'nt consider them as his family. But the truth was that he did'nt. He considered them as his life. And he would'nt let anyone mess with his life. Not even a girl who face is similar to their fallen comrade.

He took the coin which saved him from the bullet and remembered his surprised reaction on finding it in riya's desk. Although no one knew about him having the coin nor guessed it but the truth is that he never forgot riya. Even now he wished he could have saved her. even now he wanted to hear her voice, her dimpled smile. And now knowing that she was the mother of his children his longing intensified even more. He wanted to know why she did it. was she in danger? How did she meet roshni? And the most important question if she is alive why she did'nt come to them? Come to him? He had lot of questions but somewhere he knew that the only person having this answer is the one who saved this coin.

Chapter 13b

Shree took all the information and handed to sameer and arjun. Sameer said "rawte, I think it is best if we came as undercover." Arjun replied " rathore you do know that sonia knows our each and every move. Not only that she will anticipate all of us coming when I go to meet her."

Sam: it is also a stupid idea to go and meet her alone. She might do something. And that place will be crowded also because of the event.

Arj: we have no choice. We have to know what she is upto and that can be done only if I went alone.

Sak: but...

Arj: no more arguments. I am going alone and that's final. He got up and stormed out of the room. sameer nodded at everyone to start setting their plan in motion.

At evening,

Arjun reached the place. The place he hated the most and roshni believed in the most. Shiva temple. Arjun remembered how roshni insisted to always make a visit to this temple on all Sundays. She believed that god will protect them from all harm. Although roshni insisted but arjun persisted and roshni finally gave up and used to leave arjun outside the temple while she went inside and prayed. Arjun always wondered why everyone believed in him when it was because of him that they suffered the most. Why everyone worshipped him when he used to not do anything when they were in trouble. Arjun shook his head to get rid of memories and went inside. He saw that the whole temple was decorated. It seems that there was a special festival today to worship shiva. His eyes searched for her and finally found her sitting at the edge of a pond. For a second he was shocked. She looked extremely beautiful in a ghaghra choli exactly how riya looked when they had gone undercover in the devi case. She stared pensively at the pond. Then as if sensing him she looked up and waved at him. Anyone looking at this scene would have thought that they were old friends or if the aunties thought as husband and wife. Arjun walked over to her and sat at the place she motioned to sit. She continued to stare pensively at the pool. She then looked at arjun and her face was contemplative.

Son: strange acp na, when we don't have something we are unhappy and when we have something that time also we are unhappy. And as always when we face with a problem we blame god and when we find a solution we never thank him. Right?

Arj: why have you called me here sonia?

Son: whoa, whoa acp slow down. Why are you in so much hurry? This is a god's place. When you have already come here you should also have a darshan of shiva.

Arj: I don't believe in god.

Son: and yet you are here.

Arj: you left me no choice.

Son: there is always choice acp. Have you ever asked me for a change of location?

Arjun stared at her incredulously while she looked at him with a smirk.

Son: but you are right. I would have bought you to this place one way or the other. But I called you on this day for a special reason.

Arjun remained silent.

Son: today is not just any full moon night. It is a special full moon night which comes once every 13 years. people say that on this full moon night if two people make a wish and light the same diya then both of their wishes get fulfilled. And I wanted someone to share a wish with me.

Arj: that's your reason to meet me.

Son: aww, come on acp in order to fulfill one's goals you have to sometimes use methods which don't make sense. So come on do something which is outside the logical realm. Make a wish and light a diya.

Sonia had already got a diya and oil and matches. Arjun got up to go but sonia held his hand. Arjun looked back to see sonia having a sincere expression on her face. She said " please arjun, just for once I am asking you to believe and make a wish. who knows maybe this time your wish will be fulfilled." Arjun looked at her for a long time but sonia's gaze from him did'nt waver. Slowly he came and sat next to her. sonia put the oil and arjun lit the diya. Sonia said " close your eyes and make a wish." arjun closed his eyes and sonia stared at him. She saw how his eyebrows were knotted together, how he held himself with the diya in his hands trying not to crush it. she put her hands on top of the flame which was almost going out and said " relax arjun and make a wish." arjun relaxed listening to her voice and made a wish. sonia seeing that he made a wish closed her eyes and made her wish. arjun opened his eyes to see how sonia's beauty was even more highlighted by the light of the flame. She looked exactly like an angel, an angel sent by the devil. She opened her eyes and saw arjun staring at her. she then signaled to arjun to slowly put the diya into the pond. They put the diya slowly into the pond and watched it float to the rest of the diyas. Arjun then got up and showed his hand to sonia to get up. A blast happened.
