Chapter ' 2

Pride and Prejudice

ETF headquarters

It was Mid-night shree was still working hard to hack that site riya sitting beside him taking nap with her head resting on table.

Shree ' utho Ree. Get up you lazy head!

Riya stirred up from her nap immediately stand up from chair trying to stable herself with the help of table.

Riya ' Rathore sir, Arjun sir.

Shree ' oh riya wake up, it's me shree remember.

Riya ' sorry shree i was just too tired.

Shree ' it's fine anyways i hacked that website. Now you can access any case you want. Ok now i'm going.

Riya ' where are you going shree?

Shree ' you do your research, it's my napping time Ree.

Riya ' ok good night sleeping beauty.

Shree ' beauty with brains my dear.

He replied while walking out from her cabin, here Riya took charge of laptop.

She was damn sure that she have seen those tattoo before when she was on research desk last year; she remember one of her office mate were talking regarding some pending case that was when she saw those tattoo. Case was submitted to CBI as police failed to solve it, which happened in 2006 six year before. She scrolls down all the cases in that year, yes she found that case.

Black money scam*

Some well known sports man, actors, politician used to invest their black money in some faked business projects, NGOs and swiped it into white money. A journalist PRABHAKAR DESHMUKH exposed this scandal in media he found murdered next day in his own house. Police suspect local goons were haired to kill him and policed caught them but because of they have no solid proofs. Court declared them innocent there were photos of those gang members. She watch shocked as two of them were the same whom she saw in ashram. Their names are surya and prakash now she was sure that arjun was right about that GB. She reads further names which that journalist claim to involve in scam was Mi**** O***, K*******, V***** S****,Monish khanna . Now she was shelled shock reading Monish's name as suspect.

She was so lost in reminisced about the case that she didn't realised it was morning. Rathore enters in office in his crisp ironed blue check's shirt with black jeans looking stunning handsome. He found shree sleeping on couch snoring loudly, he ordered them to take rest home not here; cop with zero tolerance for non sense wake up inside him.

Rathore ' shree!!!

He shouted so loudly that with that single word Shree fell on floor, he bulkily gather himself stood up in front of Rathore keeping his glaze at ground.

Rathore -Shree jab meh ne sab ko bata diya tha ki ghar jaa rest kare. What were you doing at that time?

He questioned him in firm voice and he murmured something in faint voice which made Rathore more irritated.

Rathore ' i'm talking to you shree !

On other side Riya took print outs of those case file; she was excited to show it to Rathore and Arjun. She runs towards Rathore's cabin without looking where she was going and unknowingly she hit Arjun who was coming from other side. She dropped paper on ground; she was about lost her balance when Arjun supported her by gripping her waist. She instantly grabbed his collar a moment later she moved her gauze to this face. It was expression less; he was indeed handsome muscular, slight tan lines on face, dark brown eyes. She knows that one incident changed him she was curious to know how he was before all this pain. She was completely lost herself in deep thinking about arjun when he called her name.

Arjun ' riya...riya!

Now she get back present that she was stil in his arms and surly in lots of trouble. She freed herself from his grip and started collecting those papers without speaking a single word. When collected all of them she look at him.

Riya ' sorry sir, i was just...

Arjun ' what riya, you were just running in ETF head quarters. Iss ke liye bhi tumhare pass koi excuse hoga right. Riya you know jis dis din tum ye pachcani harkat chod ke mature ho jaogi na toh..

He was saying something Rathore who watched all this from corner came forward and walks towards them.

Rathore ' aaj kya ye ETF circus kyu bana huwa hai. Pehle shree then you riya. Can't you guys understand we need to solve case?

Shree came and stand next riya looked her with narrow eyes.

Rathore ' i need everyone in conference room right now .Tum bhi Rawte!

ETF conference room

Chootu joined them in conference room.

Riya ' i'm sorry sir, last night me shree.

Arjun ' hum meh tumhari bakwas bate nahi sunni hai riya.

Rathore ' Rawte bas.

Riya ' par sir it's about case, kal jab hum GB se milne gaye the; aap ko yaad hai two men who were following him. I noticed tattoos on their arm, i saw them before; they were involve in some case which police handover to CBI.

So i told shree to hack CBI website so that we can access those detail.

Rathore furiously shoot glair at shree and arjun too staring at him raising brow.

But Riya took convoys to main queue.

Riya ' sir please it's not his mistake it was my idea and it was worthy a shot. And look what i found sir.

She passed copy of those papers each to Arjun, Rathore, shree and chotu.

RIYA - I found out two men belongs to local gang who were suspected to kill a journalist; who exposed black money scam. And guess whose name i found in suspect MR Monish Khanna.

Now every single person in room was looking at her like nuts because she found out main thread of case. She indeed capable to be a good cop arjun thought.

Rathore ' great so now it's time to dig more. Rawate tum our riya Monish ke ghar jao pata karo ki woh mara kaise.Chotu tum GB ke ashram pe nazar rakhoge i need every single detail about it. Meh our Shree uss journalist ke ghar chalete hai. Let's move.

As soon as Rathore turned his back to them Chotu patted riya and shree's back.

Chotu ' well done guys. Kamal kar diya.

Sudden turned back again keeping his gauze on Shree and Riya. Riya and shree look at each other and then to Rathore while gulping lump in their throat.

Rathore ' and you two (pause) excellent work keep it up. Age se jara sambhal ke.

They smile at him nodding their head in response and Rathore went out of room followed by shree and chotu.

Only Arjun and Riya were still in conference room she was desperately hoping some words of praise from Arjun.

But only words she heard was.

Arjun ' chale Riya.

She nodded actually she think it's funny that she expect those words Arjun.

Khanna's house

Riya and Arjun trying find out what exactly happened to Monish so started to asked neighbour if they saw something that day. There house next khanna's was under construction. They were asking one of the worker about murder when one quite old worker start screaming.

Worker ' ye sedhi (ladder) kaha gayi. Ek hafta ho gaya ek ladder nahi sambhali jati tum logo se.

Arjun was curious so he toward him and Riya followed him.

Arjun ' kay jhala kaka? (what happened kaka?)

Older worker ' kay sangu sahib (what to say )ek sidhi nahi sambhali jati in logo se. Pichle hafte bhi ek chori ho gayi thi.

Arjun caught something though that line and asked further.

Arjun ' kadhi jhal he kaka? (when did this happen)

Older worker ' pichle somvar(Monday) ki sahib. Yaha uss din hamari chutti thi na toh koi le gaya hoga.

Arjun ' shrukriya kaka.

He started marching towards those rooms swiftly and riya to started walking vastly. But she didn't know the reason yet; Arjun's each move was always like puzzle to her.

Riya ' what happened sir?

Arjun ' we missed such a big clue Riya. Yaad hai tum ghar meh kya dekha tha hum ne.

Riya ' what sir it was looking waha bohut dino se koi aya nahi.

Arjun ' what about roof riya? It was made of metal sheet and it was brand new riya. Kisi ne woh roof kyu chage kiya. sedhi ka chori hona kaise connected. Samjhi yaa samjhau.

Riya ' you mean sir kisi ne upar se dead body ko niche dala.tabhi hum meh koi fingerprints nahi mile.

When reach towards that rooms and went backside of those room, when noticed more closely there were scratching marks on wall.

Arjun ' dekh rahi ho Riya. Ye marks tab bane the jab yaha sedhi rakh kar kisi bhari cheez upar chadhya gaya tha.

And with single jump he reached on that thin metal roof, Riya also tried two times but was unable to reach there because of her height.

Riya ' Give me hand sir, please.

Arjun tilt his head slight and shook it softly, while pressing his lips. Sometimes even if she was not doing any mistake and non sense, her presence keep making him disturbed.

He gave her hand pulled her up quickly and because of that force she banged on his chest, her flowery fragrance made him dizzy. She was looking delicate and fragile doll in his strong arm, her soft touch making his spine shivered. Next moment he repels her pushing her backward.

Arjun- Dur raho mujhse!

Riya- but what did i done sir?

Arjun- just let it be.

Metal sheet had square opening for going down arjun bend down watched screws by which those plank were placed fixed. She were some something reddish on them arjun brushed with his finger and smelled it; it was blood as by now arjun's theory was proved.

Riya ' but khuni toh easily khool kar sakta tha na phir ye sab why?

Arjun ' woh kuch prove karna chahta hai riya. He is trying to achieving something by doing this; it's more than a murder for him. Jaha tak meri soch hai Monish jaise insaan ko yaha lana easy nahi ye sab karte waqt khooni ko bhi chot lagi hogi.

Here Shree and Rathore reached to house of that journalist his name was Prabhakar Deshmukh.

Rathore ' yahi address hai na shree.

Shree- records ke accaording toh yahi hai.

When they rang bell old lady around 80s opened the door.

Rathore ' namskar maaji. Hum police hai prabhakar ji ke parivaar se baat karna chahte the.

Old lady ' par woh toh ab yaha nahi rehte waise bhi hum yaha unke jaane ke baad hi rehne aye hai.

Shree- kya aap unke bare meh kuch our bata sakti hai kuch bhi?

Old lady ' unki ek beti thi koyal naam tha uss ka our kuch yaad nahi aa raha hai.

Rathore ' aap ka sukriya hum chalete hai.

While marching towards car Rathore was little confuse about all possibility, only way to get through is GB so dialled chotu to check if chotu got some link.

Chotu ' ji sir

Rathore 'waha kuch mila?

Chotu ' ye baba toh hamara baap nikla sir. Since morning itni badi VIP's aye hai. Yaha choti nahi badi gadbad hai sir.

Rathore ' chotu tum ETF headquarters aa jao.

Whole team gather in conference room riya made some coffee for them and arjun ordered cutting chai.

Rathore 'abhi tak hum sirf itna pata chala hai ki monish ki lash ko upar se niche feka gaya tha.

Riya ' ye prakar parivaar jo lapata haispecialy uss ki beti koyal.

Shree ' ye GB jo shayad inn sab bare kuch janta hai.

Chotu ' uss ke khilaf koi sabut nahi hai

Arjun ' rathore mujhe uss din photo chahiye jis din Monish ki lash mili.

Riya ' woh photos mere pass hai hai. i'll just get it.

Rathore ' uss photo meh kya milega rawte.

Arjun ' hum waha nahi the rathore un photo meh woh dikh jayega jo hum nahi dekh sakte hai.

Riya passes those photos to arjun and he watched each one carefully flipping one by one.

Arjun ' kaha tha na kuch milega Rathore dekho.

Thanks for such great response for First chapter hoping same (even more hehe) for this too. As i promised started ariya love track planning it twist it more to enhance intensity. I added some humour on purpose as last time it was too emotion.

WHY pride and prejudice? Well its favourite book but naming this chapter on it was because of ariya track. Arjun's pride overpowered his emotions, in next few update how his destiny changes him forever.

And yes i left some name blank as i don't any controversy on it.
