"ok then cancel math karo.. but bring it to 311.. I'll take it to him.."

"as you wish maam.."

After 5 minutes she took the food and knocked at his door.. "tum yaha kya kar rahi ho..? meine kaha na mein kha chukka hu'"

"sorry ye aapke keliye nahi the.. mereliye hai.. wo kya hai na akele khane ka man nahi tha.. isiliye.. kya mei yaha baitke kha sakti hu.." she asked sweetly. 😳"ajeeb ladki hai.." Arjun thought.."ok aajao.."

She came and sat near on the chair near to his bed and he sat on the bed leaning back on the pillow. "bade ache khichdi hai.. " she said smelling it. "waise aapne kya khaya..?"

"wo' mein..wo.." Arjun couldn't think of anything. "dimaag pe ithna pressure math daaliye.. mujhe patha tha aapne nahi khaya hai.. ye aapkeliye hai.."

"par tum keh rehe the ki.."

"agar such bola hota tho aap mujhe andar aane detha kya..? wo samjhe samjhao looks dethe bhaga detha.."😉 she said smilingly. Even he couldn't help his smile.😊."wow.. sir.. aapko tho smile karna bhi aathe hai.." she was surprised..😳

"kya matlab?" he asked back. "nahi wo kya hai.. apko aise zyada nahi dekha.. isliye' legtha hai ki yaha ke doctors ke hatho me sachmuch jaadu hai'" she was so happy."please sir.. aap aise hi muskurathe rahiye.. thab aap janoge ki life kithne haseen hai'"😊

He was looking at her innocent face. Her last line reminded of his past..

Flash back:

Arjun was back from the office. Roshni had prepared his favorite food for the first time.. she was waiting for his surprised look in his face. He entered with a frown on his face. He was so angry that he dumped the file on the table and heavily sat on the single sofa. He was so disturbed. He kept his head back on sofa and closed his eyes trying to relax. But in vain. Roshni was watching all these. She smiled and came in with a glass of water and placed it on the nearby table. She stood behind the sofa.. slowly placed both her hands on her shoulder and placed a small kiss on his fore head " kya hua jaan.. kyu ithne pareshan ho..?" he was feeling relaxed with her touch.."kuch nahi Roshni.. ye log meri dimag kha jayenga.. agar koi high profile ke aadmi ko chuulo tho uupar se call aathe hai.. wo kuch bhi kare tho koi baath nahi.. agar mein kuch kaho tho.. "😡

"oh tho kisisko pakaake aarahe ho.." she thought.😉 "are aise kon is duniya mein aagaya jo ACP Arjun Rawte ke dimaag khane bare mein soch liya' use tho mujhe milna hi hoga'"

"kyu..?"

"ye puuchne keliye ki unhe konsi flowers ki Reith pasand hai.. jaldi hi order karna hoga na'😉"

Arjun couldn't believe her attitude. He just smiled with his whole heart instantly relaxing. She saw his smile and was so happy. "you are unbelievable Roshni'" he said. "wo tho mein hu.. warna aapke biwi kaise hote..?" they laughed and hugged each other. She was so happy.. ".. aap aise hi muskurathe rahiye.. thab aap janoge ki life kithne haseen hai'" she said still hugging him.😊

Flashback ends.

She could see tears in his eyes.. he was silent for some time when she spoke to him. When she looked back she saw tears in his eyes about to fall."maybe I reminded of his past.."she felt so sorry.

"sir' kya hua.. sab teekh tho hai na'?" he suddenly snapped out and looked at her.😡 And tried to get up hurriedly. But the wounds in his ribs didn't allow him.."aah'"

"sir sambhalke.. apne aap ko ithna dard math dijiye.. "

"tum kya janogi kisi ke dard ke bare mein..? kisi ke khone ke bare.. ?"😡

"actually sir.. mein jaan sakthi hu' kyu ki agar aap apke wife ko khoya hai, tho mein meri friend.. meri behen ko khoya hai'" she was trembling with rage. 😡"or mein janthi hu ki aap kya feel kar rahe ho.." she was about to go. She reached the door "please khana khalena.. or tablets bhi'" she went out. He was feeling so bad for her. Of course she knows the pain.. he sat on the bed for a while. Then took his food and went out.

Someone knocked her door." Kaun hai?" no answer. Knocked again. She opened the door. " sir aap yaha?"

"wo.. .. wo kya hai na akele khane ka man nahi tha.. kya mei yaha baitke kha sakta hu.." she allowed him to get in. he silently came in and sat on the chair. She was just standing there. He slowly started to eat and she sat on the bed. After food he took his tablets. She offered water and took back the tray from him. And then sat on the bed. Both were silent for a while. "tum teekh kah rahi thi.. tum mere dard samach sakti ho.. I am sorry mein tumhare dard nahi samach payi'"

She couldn't believe her ears. There was still pain his eyes. "sir its ok.. mujhe bhi aapse gussa nahi hona chahiye tha.. I m sorry.."

He was not actually listening well.. he was lost I his thoughts.."tum us din sahi kah rahe the.. yaad usi ko karthe hai.. jo dil ke bohot kareeb hothe hai.. meri Roshni bhi the.. meri dil ke bohot kareeb.. bohot.."

She had never heard him saying her name. she was lost in his words. Suddenly he woke up. "sorry mein tumhe disturb kiya.. aise lag raha tha ki koi friend se baath kar rahe ho.. sorry" he was about to get up.

"rukiye sir.. agar aapko ek friend ke zaroorath hai tho mein hu yaha.. life mein ek friend ke zaroorath koi mujhse puuche.. mein yahi hu' aap mujhse baath kar sakthe ho.."

Arjun was speechless to hear this. He went and stood in the balcony. There was a mild wind about. It was soothing. She stood by him. "tho kya mein tumse baath kar saktha hu'?". He asked.

"of course sir' believe me you will feel better.."

He was thinking for a while.. then he started..how first time they met'how their friendship started..her view about life' how they decided to marry' their life after that.. she could see his emotions running on his face.. he was smiling.. joking.. she laughed with him..he was so calm..😊

Then he reached the point were he had to cross his roads with Sikander.. about her being kidnapped.. about that fateful night.. she saw the guilt of not being able to help her.. he had tears flowing through his cheeks..😭

Then suddenly she saw the change.. he was determined to catch him.. still he was crying.. she hold onto his shoulder made him sit down and sat near to him.. she took his hands " its ok sir' we will get him.. I promise'" he was looking into her eyes. He was feeling peaceful. "don't know why.. I feel so 'so'" he couldn't complete. "its ok sir.. I can understand. That's the power of friendship.." she smiled.

"thanks Sapna..thanks a lot'" he smiled. "I think I should go now..we have a long trip tmrw.. goodnight.." "goodnight Sir.."

That night he slept peacefully without any sleeping pills. She was so happy. " kaash aap yaha hota Roshni.. you would have been the luckiest lady in the world'" she too slept peacefully.

CHAPTER 15:

Next morning Sapna and Arjun had breakfast together in his room. They didn't speak about the last night. They knew to respect each other's feelings. Then they left for Mumbai. She was driving and he was relaxing watching out through the window.😊

When they reached the office, Chotu and Shree was amused seeing Arjun's face. It was almost relaxed.. they doubted that they even saw a smile. And Sapna was walking beside him. Arjun reached infront of them but they didn't realize. "kya hua.. khabhi mujhe dekha nahi hai kya..?"

"sorry sir.. bus aise hi.. aap kaise ho..?"😳

"teekh hu… " then he went to meet Rathod. " kya baath hai Sapna… ye sir tho ekdum badal gaya hai.. kuch hua tha waha pe..?" 😉 chotu asked.

"kya bol rahi ho tum dono…?"

" bolna …kahi tum Arjun Sir ke akelapan ke fayda tho nahi uthayi na..?😉 bechara sir… ekdum sudhar gaya…!"😆 shree poked her.

"chi… tum dono ko na…. pitega…." 😳She chased after them. Shree hit face to face on Arjun. "kya ho raha yaha…? Nursery mein ho kya tum teeno… seedhe yaha se nikalu kya…?"

" nahi sir… sorry sir" 😳 trio said. Rathod and Arjun went in. " sorry yaar Sapna.. galthi hogaye… inhe sudharna upar wale ke bhi bas mein nahi hai… tho tu kya cheez hai… maaf karna…" shree said. All 3 of them laughed heartly.😆

Almost a year passed after Sapna had joined. They solved many big and small cases. Many times even risked their own life. And by this time Arjun's and Sapna's friendship was growing deeply. 😊It was not some gossiping or hanging out type of friendship. It was a feeling of being there at any time …. They never spoke in that way in front of others creating a scene. It was only in between long rides, helping out each other in many ways.. it was not still love… but something more than that… and the person who was really happy with that was Rathod…. " agar ache jeeven saathi nahi so tho sahi… kam se kam ek saathi tho mile…" he was happy for Arjun.😊

One day they were called to commissioner office. They all were in the vehicle.. "kya hua Rathod kuch kahatha sir ne?"

"nahi… bas ithna bola ki sab ke saath aao .. dakhthe hai.."

They reached there and waiting for him. Arjun was near the window. She went to him." Kya hua sir.. sub teekh to hai?"

"patha nahi Sapna… lagtha hai kuch hone wala hai.. kuch ajeeb sa feel kar rahi hai "

"its ok sir… everything will be alright" she assured him. Commissioner came and they all settled. He was a bit disturbed and was looking at Arjun. "kya hua sir.. any problem?" Rathod enquired.

" ok team… ab mein jo kahne wale hai use aap log pure dhyan se sunoge.. koi gussa nahi… I want it clear from your side.. especially tum Rawte.. ekdum shanty mein sunoge…"

"aap boliye sir… hum yahi hai" Arjun was getting negative vibes.

"its about…..Sikander…" one word was enough to change the whole atmosphere…

"kaha hai wo…?" Arjun was getting heated. Sapna noticed this. She wished to hold onto his hands to calm him down. But she couldn't.

Commissioner knew this was going to happen. " dekho Rawte pehle mere pure baath tho suno.. Sikander phir se Pattan Laala ko join kiya hai.. Thanks to you wo ab zyada chal nahi saktha.. isliye Sikander ab main stream mein hai.. "

"mujhe wo sara lead chahiye sir… ye mein dekhlunga.. aap pehle mujhse kaha tha ke aap mujhe saara lead donge…"

"maine kaha tha ke mein ye case sirf ETF ko dunga.. thumhe nahi.. agar tumhe is case mein rahna hai tho puure team ke saath hoga.. warna nahi.." Arjun was shivering with rage. 😡 He looked fiercely at him. And walked out of the room. All were unsure what to do. Sapna was about to get up to follow him. Suddenly she stopped and looked at Rathod pleadingly. He knew it. He just nodded. " excuse me everyone.." she stood and went behind him hurriedly.

Arjun was fuming. He slammed he fist on the vehicle.😡 Got in and drove away. Sapna rushed behind him. But she was late. She took a taxi and followed him. She knew where he would be going.
