Sometimes I just tune to catch up. I mean I really like Hatim and I am happy he is getting a good response for Anupamaa. I even liked his character in Maddam Sir. What a fantastic actor. I am guessing he will get to show his acting potential when Prem and his father reconcile like Kartik and Manish Goenka did. But Mohsin was actually a good actor and the actor who played his father was equally good. Both did justice to the father-son scenes.
Whereas here we only have Hatim, and the guy playing Prem is pathetic. I tried watching a few days back the scene in the engagement where he confesses loving Raahi in front of Shah Khandan. That "I love you" was so bad. Itna bura "I love you" maine aaj tak TV pe nahi dekha. And I've watched a crazy amount of TV shows. This was the worst. Also, the girl's reciprocation was just as bad. (So Adrija ji, issmein yeh galat hai, na toh aap shivi ho na hi Shivam momo hai, toh aapki acting ke kya hi kehne.)
Like, she was bad as Palki too. But as Raahi also, she is so misplaced. I did like her in Imlie though. She is pretty, I give her that, but pretty toh purani wali Raahi bhi thi, usse kya hota hai. Thoda acting bhi karlo. Also, iske pehle wali Raahi jo thi uske saath galat hua hai but woh bhi buri hi casting thi, she could barely cry in the mother-daughter reconciliation scene.
Aurra ne ek standard set kiya hai as Adhya.
Which neither could carry. I wonder has this been done purposely so we cannnot move on to the next generation like we did in yrkkh with kaira.
I remember Aurra's Adhya when she was kidnapped and Anupamaa finds her. She did such justice to her character; the whole scene was beautiful. But both the post-leap Raahis have been a plain disappointment.
I know I keep saying it again and again but I feel both the Chhoti Anu actor and Aurra have been wronged post-leap with their character being given to poor performers.
I like the guy who plays Ansh. He would have been a better Prem. And the girl who plays the influencer kid, she could have easily been Raahi ya phir koi aur bhi. I know pretty young both, but isn't that what they want? They don't want the focus to shift to the next Anupamaa, which I don't think Raahi can ever be anyway. But it's so obvious, them not casting popular actors for Prem and Raahi.
Where is the storyline headed? Is it prem raahi, because only a leap and some actually popular faces playing prem raahi can work.
Or Parag Anu!
Vaise I'd actually watch the show if parag anu thing begins. Ik ik its weird af. Maybe Parag will blackmail anu to marry him so prem can't marry raahi. But since raahi is adopted anyway, it doesn't really make much difference does it? Maybe it will be revealed prem is adopted too, that way it won't be that weird.
Easier for audience to accept maybe. Is that what they are planning to do?
