Are we you sure about divorce? He said he went to find her but couldn’t. She was unable to be located.. so how the hell did they got divorced if he couldn’t even contact her? You need to atleast be in contact even for divorce papers to be sent to eachother and divorce seems to not have any legal binding which am happy about and takes me back to Tee’s theory of maybe MD Barkha made them sign fake papers or whatever in their emotional state since they couldn’t even verify anything as revenge especially since Anuj sold everything

Like someone said, Devika ne Anupamaa ke behalf par saari divorce ki formalities poori kar di hogi like she arranged for her US visa without her knowing and appearing for it.

Yesterday's sequence (not sure it is a dream sequence or whatever) Anuj said he came searching her and couldn't find her even at Kanta's place.

Leap hua 5 years ka,

Anupama has been (as shown) staying at Vadodara and serving at the oldage home since 3 years.

If we do the Math (although the show uses timelines in Anupamaverse), she supposedly stayed somewhere may be Amdavad, for 2 years and then moved to Vadodara.

So, it can be inferred (based on whatever was shown) that Anupama left Kapadia Mansion --> The couple divorced --> Anupama lived a life in recluse. The Kanta's flasbacks suggest that she may have stayed with her (because otherwise she is not shown to remember her ever). Somewhere in the midst of ALL this, Anuj tried to reach her with a view to reconcile but his efforts went in vain.

If they were not divorced than Anuj would not agree for marriage with Shruti in two months so he is not married to Anupama now.

Maybe Anupama herself sends divorce papers to him because Anuj never wanted her to leave home or leave them. Anupama leaving was all Anupama’s decision. So maybe she is the one who started divorce process(she had experience in it too so she knew about whole process).

Nahi hua hai toh hone do. Jabse Anupamaa life se gayi hai, Anuj ko bohot success mila hai.
