I have been thinking for long what motivates woman like anupama to accept abusers
1) Financial standing- Anupama is 10th pass and can never get financial stable on own. At most on own she can teach dance to 10-25 students and earn may be 20k a month. That also may flop as she has no dedication towards profession and is bothered more about her family and home and cooking(family means ex shah family not kapadiya family). So she do not want to displease Shahs who were feeding her financially for 26 years
Why does same financial standing not stand for anuj kapadiya family. First kapadiya family is too hi-fi they are all US educated modern broad minded do not suit anupama kind of woman who are tradition not broad minded and uneducated. Also when they talk they must be chatting all hi-fi things that anupama cannot understand like finnace, biusiness, projects, US elections, taylor swift etc. Thats why she has never accepted anuj or kapadiyas as her husband or family. Because she has no compatibility with them.
Its more like imagine a US educated family living in posh juhu mumbai takes a maid 10th pass daughter as bahu will that girl adjust to posh juhu life style or the members. Not easily she still behave like the low educated lower middle class way only. They cannot upgrade easily. Yes if they are 20 something they may try to upgrade too like pakhi is doing. But its not really that easy
But anupama is 46 she has a set way of life for 46 years and its tough to change that at 46 years. That is also one reason girls marry young age from 16 to 25 years because after that they cannot adjust to husband house life style or compromise and behave differently.
2) Social upbringing
Anupama has been brought up thinking husband is God mother in law is God etc so she still consider vanraj as God after his EMA or divorce. She still consider Baa bapuji as saas-sasur. Although for world sake shes lied they are mother father. But in reality no daughter will sit doing kichdi for mother and miss dance classes. Anupam ahas still same reverence fear of saas sasur she had for 26 years now too thats why at a call she runs to baa bapuji. For her still ba bapuji is saas sasur whose order can she never say no. And vanraj is husband who she still fear and listens or obeys. But she do not listen to anuj or MD as she never consider them as husband or saas still. They are like school principal whom kids fear and obey same way anuapma obey vanraj, baa, bapuji all life.
3) Rigid behaviour
Anupama is type who never wants to change at any cost no matter how much others try. She want same 46 years life to continue another 40 years till her death. She do not want to improve herself learn english go to college finish education or learn anything much of business. She want her past 46 year life only to continue in kapadiyas and anuj and kapadiyas to change as per her whims and wish. May be a 21 year old pakhi may change go finish her college and improve at work place but anupama doing it is dreams only in future
For her till death leela will be her saas and hasmukh her sasur and vanraj her husband and pakhi and toshu her kids not anuj or CA etc
Shes just shifted from shah shanty to kapadiya but shes anupama shah of last 46 years no change at all
I do not expect her to change ever her ways she will remain same all life. All this her drama that she made presentation or attended meetings is all hog wash for viewer. I am sure her presentation will have few thousand grammatical mistakes and lakhs of spelling mistakes and wrong numbers etc and anuj or some subordinate has to redo everything. Because when MBA/BEs fail to do a good job at presentation till experienced so 10th pass anupama we can understand quality of her presentation or work in office she would be doing. Just to boost her false ego anuj keeps prasining her and allows her at work place or another husband would never allow her in office. Because subordinates will laugh behind her back and his back at her work and presentations and will be fed up correcting her errors.
Like politicians who are uneducated keep ordering IAS or their project ideas are claimed as ministers same will happen with anupama. All work others do anupama get credit and millions. Anupama keeps saying USA USA but in USA you get job and salary as per your ability. Even Bill gates/Steve jobs are Harvard drop outs not some 10th pass ppl. To get into harvard only 1 person out of a lakh who apply get into harvard etc so they must be exceptionally clever in their fields. Be it It or management. Which we cannot say about anupama in business. Anupama never got admission in IIM or harvard and left in between to marry before. Even Azim Premji dropped out of US university as his dad died to look after wipro. But he had got admission to US university in 60s 70s means hes very clever.
