Why why why

Anupamaa (thanks to Anuj) is supposedly extremely rich, so if she wants to give shelter to her Kurma, why can't can't she just house her in a separate luxury flat with helpers and cooks and chauffeurs to keep her in comfort?

Why does she make Kurma share the same house as Anuj (who utterly hates her presence there) and everyone else (who resent her and don't seem to have any affection for her)? Knowing she doesn't get along with anyone and has started creating problems in the household, why does Anupamaa continue to host her in Kapadia mansion when there are so many good alternatives?

Because Anupama loves toxicity. It is her daily dose of dopamine. It gives her a sense of purpose in life.
