What should have been.....

If Kavya got pregnant with Aniruddh's child, why does she want Vanraj to be the father? What are her motives here? And why does no one mention about Aniruddh....Does he not deserve to know about becoming a father or play a role in the child's life?

Why did she leave Aniruddh and come back to a place where no one cared about her? It could either be that he refused to accept the child or he was abusive towards her. But there's no mention of it as yet. And it's not as if Vanar was too caring.

Now all of it would make a bit of sense if it was shown that she felt insecure (naturally) due to Vanar-Jhuli's open preference for Anupamaa and plotting to get her back while Kavya was in the house and married to Vanar. He had refused to have a child with her in the past. So she decided to get pregnant outside and consolidate her position, as she knew a child would give her the acceptance and she'd hide the parentage. A negative turn here wouldn't be that bad but she is crying and has become bechaari. If she didn't want to be with Aniruddh, she could have raised the child herself, why force it on Vanar and family.

The only plausible explanation now could be that she is playing an ever bigger game by manipulating Soorajpamaa to fight on her behalf as she knows they'll listen to her eventually and Kavya becomes the truthful one also with a kid. But senseless makers won't show anything as such. Rather the track may close abruptly when more pressing matters are brought to Sooraj's attention.

Fantastic, I like the reasoning here. I was also expecting Aniruddh's entry, but appears that he is no where in the pic.

I don't think makers have given any thought before making K pregnant with another man's child.

Kavya told Anupama that when she told Anirudh about child he refused to took responsibility as baby can be belonged to vanraj too. After that he left the country too.

So there motive should be that Anirudh take responsibility of his kid but here Kavya and Anupama wants that shah took responsibility.

Kavya can be single mother too but god knows why she wants her child between shahs.

If child stays with them now baa will taunt him/her whole life. If they didn’t knew that child belonged to Anirudh they we can see the reason somehow but now Kavya herself told everyone so how she can expect that her child will get love in shah house.

The actor playing Aniruddh was himself unware about the development ...he had posted the same on IG

I dont think they'll ever get him back ...DKP (as usual) have pulled a Pramod Dave on him and now Nakul , by turning non returning characters as negative suddenly ... Wont be suprised if eventually child turns out to be Vanraj's or we end up having a miscarriage

Supporting cast is too big and I guess PH has to create tracks for all esp the OG supporting cast of Shah's whether aud is interested or not , even if they dont make any sense . Best and most logical track for Kavya's ch would have been to leave V (which I think is there is other versions ) , but here Hero wont allow as the actress is his social media arm candy of sorts

AFAIR, Kavya mentioned that Anirudh gave her attention when Vanraj had become emotionally distant and she got carried away. When she became pregnant, Anirudh refused to accept the baby. Kavya came for Samar's wedding and didn't want to inform about the kid but Sunpama came to know and then everyone (I don't remember if Kavya herself informed or Vanraj figured out). After that, Kavya received love and attention not only from Vanraj but also Baa and entire family and let everyone believe that the kid was Vanraj's. She doesn't want to raise her kid as a single mother as she longed for family love when she was a kid.

All these details were in between the heavy duty bhashans of how 'Mard ko bhi dard hota hai' and 'Women have struggled for years for equality' & 'Women can work in pregnancy'.

Kavya will most probably have a miscarriage, its sad but guess they are just using the issue to keep the Shahs relevant. seems like the actor refused to sport a baby bump?

Why is Vanraj putting up with any of this? when did he start caring for anyone but himself…guess he wants to live up to the acche pita tag by being a bhaade ka pita?

Oh okay then. I must have missed reading this in the updates. But before I stopped watching, she was clearly in the know about how Vanar was focused on Anupamaa and had confronted him and Jhuli, leaving on a bad note. At that stage, Anirudh was being supportive. Obviously they turned it around like with Pramod Dave but that's not surprising. Why she still came back even after all this, lied first and then confessed was to be understood but then I don't think they have put much thought into it as always.

Yeah.. Even I was surprised that Vanraj accepted the child as his own. Shouldn't he ummm...know better?

Then, I felt as though the track had been changed. Initially it must be VanYa kid only but changed to show Meester Shah as better Father than Anuj. Anuj did a lot for the kid he adopted but Vanraj would do the same for his illegitimate child.

That truth revelation episode was Kavya's godh barai one, I guess, if you (ever) want to catch it later on. Caught me blindsided. Kavya confessed to Sunpama of all people. (Though that wasn't surprising, I still found it funny).

She is also completely dependent on Sooraj now, like a True Tamashah

In an alternate universe if at all it was possible, she would have also joined Vanar, Majboor and the doctor-resort manager played by Apurva (forgot the character name) in the race for Sooraj
