Why Samar flipped sides

Samar is suddenly supporting his girlfriend over his mother, when he has been the most faithful to his mother. Why the change?

Before Anupama got divorced her and Samar were the “Loser Buddies” in the Shah House. It may have been miserable, but at least they had each other, and there was some support system in place.

Once she divorced and left… He was left alone without his buddy. It’s true that he never got respected, and was doing so much work without all of the appreciation at Shah House.

Even Anupama got so busy in her life that she didn’t have time for him anymore.

There was even one episode a while back where Anupama was being stretched thin because everybody at the Shah house needed her for everything… And when Samar could not remember where Toshu’s medicine was- anupama came and yelled at everybody including Samar- I remember thinking… “Poor guy the one time he asked her for something, and she yells at him just like she yelled at everybody else.”

Rejected, unappreciated and ignored… He had a giant gaping emotional hole that needed to be filled…

And when Dimpy came along, he finally got love and attention from someone and he was starved for that love and attention…

Starvation of love and respect can really change a person and I feel like this is what happened with him- he latched onto her, because at least she noticed him… And that can turn into a very strong bond unfortunately… He was probably a little blinded by her because he was so desperate for that attention and love.

He became more aligned with Dimpy… His mother was no longer a central figure in his life… And she really wasn’t even there for him once she got divorced.

in the most recent episode, when she told Samar that she supported him for his choice in marriage , but he would need to take his own responsibility… At the end of that episode , instead of giving him a hug, and calling him his nickname, she said “Jai Sri Krishna” and I found out to be so odd and formal.

Also, she has given her other two children multiple chances, and they have acted much worse… And he messed up once and she’s backed off… If I was Samar I would be hurt too

I feel sorry for Samar.

That could be it... interesting perspective👍

Samar was her sounding board instead and did not do what Paritosh and Pakhi did, misbehave.

So, meri billi mujh hi se meow?! Hence the treatment.
