I appreciate you trying to bridge the gap and honestly I have tried the same at times. But what I strongly believe is that it depends a lot on the person on the other side (applies to all). Like I said in the previous post, one can't tar everyone with the same brush. There have been people who have commented quite logically and with whom, one can have a discussion even with opposing viewpoints. For example, if I reply to you right now that I owe you no clarification for what I say and imply you to buzz off (iykwim), would you want to continue the conversation and still try to understand what I'm saying. If I were in your place, I'd simply save my efforts.
A small clarification here. At least for me personally, the stated term of a blind fan was used to refer mostly to accounts on Twitter, Instagram and the likes. It's a very simple assumption for me that 9/9.5 times out of 10, the person commenting here on the forum, even with a contrary viewpoint is not likely to be one or who is pushing any agenda if we talk in terms of having a balanced view. Because they will be commenting sanely and putting forward their points. There will always be the one odd exception and we have to learn to live with that. But they have to as well, which was the essence of the post.
Talking generally, I see an underlying problem of excessive hero/heroine worship which is pervasive through society. We want to look up to idols, consider them perfect and worthy of emulation and be in denial when their flaws are revealed. Though we should ideally be seeing them as humans capable of making mistakes and not lose all regard unless the error is grave. But amidst this whole setting, conflict and divide is natural. Everyone will always be on different points in this spectrum. X may see this as a show with a problematic message, Y may see it as daily timepass and Z may be relating each aspect to real life because they have completely imagined the character to be real. Therein arises an argument with someone who sees it through a different perspective. X can still reconcile with Y but maybe never with Z. As you said in a previous post, sometimes you just need to cease interaction
With this much more context, all your points resonate with me now.
I completely believe that you have tried to bridge the gap - one of the major reasons I took time to write my perspective to you is because I know you'd listen.
(y, ikwym)
Yes, these are definitely very pervasive issues in the society. Extremely blind celebrity-worship can do so much harm. And yes, that's exactly what I was thinking when I wrote that - sometimes the lens through which the show is looked at is so different, there might be no scope of meaningful interaction in some cases.
Ah, it's lovely interacting with you - I like the mentally stimulating nature of your viewpoints; as well as the attempt to see things at various scales and accommodate different perspectives.
I know this kinda sucks away the fun but please post your grievances here from now on.

Sorry Meg girlie, I just couldn't resist. I apologize.

If there's a prize for rotten judgement,
I guess I've already won that
No woman is worth the aggravation
That's ancient history, been there, done that
Cupid:
Who d'you think you're kidding
She's the earth and heaven to you
Try to keep it hidden,
Honey we can see right through you
Boy you can't conceal it
We know how you're feeling
Who you thinking of
Vanraj:
No chance no way I won't say it, no no
Cupid:
(You swoon you sigh why deny it oh oh)
Vanraj:
It's too cliche I won't say I'm in love

I thought my heart had learnt its lesson
When you held her and left me out
My head is screaming "Get a grip girl,
A paper can't change what's in the heart"
Cupid:
Girl you can't deny it
Who you are is how you're feeling
Baby we're not buying
Hon we saw you hit the ceiling
Face it like a grown-up
When you gonna own up that you got got got it bad
Anupa:
No chance no way I won't say it, no no
Cupid:
(Give up, give in, check the grin you're in love)
Anupa:
At least out loud I won't say I'm in love

Thank you so much. Your message actually inspired me to not bother making a comment I otherwise felt the need to make to clarify something. Sometimes not interacting is really the best way to keep peace, one can debate with those open to such conversations, not those who say my wish not your problem get lost when questioned about their statements/opinions. Think we should all try and do that, peace of mind is more important, better to discuss with those who have an open mind.
