They have so many similarities,

1. MIL doesn't like them because they were not as per the MIL's choice

2. FIL supports them to a fault

3. Husband loves them and covers up their mistakes.

But they are drastically different,

1. Monisha will skip work unless absolutely necessary, like Patang Kumar coming home or will outsource it to Jugal Kishore or Radhabai Vitthal. Anupamaa will make Radhabai and Vitthal sit on a pedestal and clean and cook at her house, the MIL house and even Radhabai and Vitthal's house.

2. Monisha respects her MIL and will take care of her by giving her cold presses on the head, bringing Manglu baba ke kue ka paani, get her to sniff shoes when she faints, will make garam masale ki kheer for her guests, will make nariyal patties for her when she asks for it and will give nice speeches for her, but will also bi*ch about her when needed.

Anupamaa will put Baa on a pedestal as well and will kill anyone and everyone who insults her, even Baa herself, but that's a paradox we want to see.

3. When MIL insults Monisha, she will do ewewewewew and move on (meme reference) but Anupamaa will cry, get a panic attack and give a 10 page bhaashan.

4. Monisha's husband loves her but will also correct her, sometimes directly, sometimes indirectly. For Anupamaa's husband "Meri Anu kabhi galat nahi ho sakti"

5. Monisha's cooking is leather jacket, Anupamaa's cooking is Michelin Star but she will give bhaashan that Michelin Star is useless and Baa ka ashirwad is besht so Michelin star will become useless.
