I didn't feel bad for Anupamaa like everyone did in the forum, not even one bit!

Not even when she was crying incessantly, whimpering like a clown to get Anuj out of his trance-like state in the precap, nothing.

Why??

Because he was in the exact same state in the New Year's episode. But there, he was begging Anupamaa to "save" his family.

At a point where Maaya wasn't even a threat, he was still broken to pieces, expecting that MahaMAA will finally be with him for him and CA.

Everyone thinks loss of CA is what is making Anuj kick MAA out. Like Really?

CA was just the bandaid that was preventing the wounded MaAn relationship from festering with infection. She returned and the very awkward picnic with DheeVika became all jolly.

Anuj FORGOT his problems. They didn't go away, spot the difference!

With CA gone, Anuj didn't have anything to hold on to.

Had CA been taken away when MaAn had a loving relationship, not meddled into constantly by the Shahs who took their favours with ungratefulness, Anuj would have turned to Anupamaa for support, like he did when he was clueless on what to do about Mukku's trauma.

She had so many chances,

• For starts, she could have stopped going to SH after the debacle. She assumed thay just refusing guarantee to Paritosh is enough and now she can go back and Anuj wouldn't mind.
• She could have let Maaya go to court instead of inviting her to stay at home. With that CA would have still left but Anuj would not have blamed her.
• She could have not said "Main Jaau?" at that moment, maybe could have gone later.
• She could have switched her phone off or atleast put it on silent when she went for the impromptu cake cutting that she felt so entitled to go to. She is not an ambulance service. Any urgency with Paritosh could not have been fixed by her.
• She could have made the birthday plan just about and around CA at KM instead of unnecessarily doing an adults only thing at the dance academy.
• She could have just told CA, "No you are wrong, you misunderstand, you are not why we fight"
• She could have let Anuj try instead of blocking the door.

All of these where one nail after another in the coffin of Anuj's insecurities. Yes CA would have still been with Maaya but atleast Anuj would have thought that he tried his best and Anupamaa HELPED him, instead of sabotaging him.

For how long could he keep relying on his emotions for a college crush and a benefit of doubt that Anupamaa can do no wrong, when every Right of hers just caused him pain?

Taking someone for granted has consequences! Period!

Loved this post, agree with you 100%. With CA gone, there's nothing holding this relationship together. He even said so clearly, what's not to understand.

It's a shame that Anu is wasting this second chance in life by doing things that aren't actually impossible to correct. This show had the potential to be pathbreaking by showing her making mistakes and then learning from them. But no, we'll see the rinse and repeat and Anuj will have to make more compromises if he wants to live with her. Will he continue to trust her, though? I don't know how.

Very well summed up and this is the only normal view that should exist. People are feeling emotional because they are looking at masaladani as a woman at the receiving end but not considering the history behind this buildup and how most of it is self inflicted due to the craftily devised scenes by the makers. Need to separate the perspectives of Anupamaa the woman and Anupamaa the character and sensibly look at the latter as you have done

Amazingly put…I am happy to not be a part of the normal side who cannot differentiate between abuse and care. Marriages require a lot of patience and understanding, a lot of give and take and its a constant work in progress where you have to adapt to situations, which are often unexpected…

Even if CA was adopted after a year of their marriage, Anupama would still be struggling to give her the care she needs…CA was only a means to prove how incapable Anupama is.

She played with Anuj’s trust and thought she could get away with her empty apologies but little did she know that even a giver like Anuj Kapadia can be pushed to the edge.

Beautiful post, but I still feel bad for her maybe because I feel remarrying after a bad marriage takes a lot of courage.

No matter what even if CA was adopted after 10 years this would have happened because she just doesn’t understand priorities and took a relationship for granted

She needs to understand that it’s not about hound to SH it’s about how to prioritize when she is needed there.

What’s wrong with her to accept her fault and doesn’t have to beg or plead but atleast explain your POV

Agreed i feel Anupama ke saath Anuj ka koi future nahi, Shah's hamesha Anuj ko pareshaan karenge it's better ki Anuj Anupama mutual alag ho jaaye .

After all staying in ex’s house and forgetting your own parents and calling ex’s parents as own parents can’t not be pathbreaking

In Anupama and Anuj's relationship, everything is about Anu...her dreams, her ex, her maayka, her kids..it was only Choti Anu that was his also..now again, Anuj ka kuch bhi nahi

I think main problem in Anupama-Anuj's marriage is they married too early. They should've dated for longer time..They're not compatible...their marriage is more like hormone controlled youngsters who get married but after honeymoon period when real life hits, dimensions between partners change.

Anyone who is married (me included) would know that a successful marriage needs sacrifice from both sides. There are days when you just have to tolerate other person or their tantrums. Sadly, in this case, only Anuj have to sacrifice..Anupama won't even make a small sacrifice to not go to Shah house on any random day. Clearly, Anuj isn't a special enough priority for her.
