This is not how you redeem a character

I think the makers really smoke weeds. No sane person can write the character of AnupaMaa. It's a shame that this character is inspired by Sreemoyee.🥱 I understand that the makers have finally realized they have made their titular character so despicable that the majority of the viewers want her to suffer, so the makers are trying desperately to redeem her character, but failing horribly.😵 To mitigate the damage they did by making AnupaMaa confess her hidden feelings for Mishter Shah, today they made her say Anuj holds the highest priority in her life in front of her kids who are going through a major crisis. The dialogues were so out of place. No mother ever declares the immense love she has for her husband in front of a disabled kid.😒 The right time for letting the world know what her husband means to her was when Baa asked her to attend Poti's homecoming ceremony and the million times her Baa and kids insulted her husband. But, she was in mute mode all those times. The last nail in the coffin is her conversation with Baa in the promo. The lady who missed CA's dance competition to make khichdi for Baa said to Baa that she could not take Toshu to Dr as she had to go to a picnic with her daughter. Which mother enjoys picnics when her young son is confined to a wheelchair? 🤬She does not want to miss CA's picnic where CA can be accompanied by anyone but she had no issues missing her dance competition where she was a co-performer. She left her husband innumerable times to take a pregnant Kinjal to doctor, but now she expects Kinjal to take care of Pari, Toshu, and her job simultaneously. 😆If MAA did not ran to SH for minor issues leaving her daughter and husband to fend for themselves, then her taking Toshu to doctor instead of going to a picnic wold not have angered Anuj and CA. They would have understood her situation. To show AnupaMaa as the perfect mother for her adopted daughter and a perfect wife to Anuj, they are showing her a terrible mother to her biological kids. She left her paralyzed husband after a life-threatening seizure attack, but now she is busy molly-coddling her perfectly fit husband ignoring her paralyzed son as her husband is getting used to the tea made by some other woman. In an attempt to make her look like a Bechari Aurat, they have made her a Besharam Aurat. The whitewashing is making her look more pathetic.

P.S. : Which school does CA read? The school is always organizing camps, annual programs, and picnics. Do the students ever study?

Right now Anupama looks really a beshram aurat no sympathy for this silly lady , God also now cannot help her.

I will just write about CA's school. Many richie rich schools do not focus intensively on academics but on overall development, just because parents can spend fees of the extracurriculars. Until 3rd standard, its just fancy events and very less studies.

My nephew is 7 and in 2nd standard and even his school has atleast one elaborate event each week, like interschool sports, or music competitions or drama enactments and blah blah, my brother and SIL are always overwhelmed.

So I can relate to this one, it's perfectly believable. And when you plan to parent a child and want to give her a privileged upbringing, you kinda wire yourself into planning your life around it.

Baa and MahaRAJ were right in a way, its impossible to be a parent and a grandparent at the same time, unless you are in a third world country where a child is expected to survive on bare minimum.

This should have seriously rung Anuj 's bells.

A woman who does MAA jaap all the time is leaving her paralyzed son important medical appointment and choosing to go on a picnic instead so that her puppy remains in her clutches.

She keep prioritising them when then there is no need. But now her son really needs her and all she is thinking about being a heroine.

She doesn't know what , when and how much she should speak. Has no idea what's important in her life...

When a person is in mess, apparently he/she keeps digging bigger hole for himself/herself, cannot think straight and cannot take a 3rd person perspective to his/her own life which is very important at times. Now don’t tell me AnupaMAA doesn’t have time to do all these. She does, and she utilizes the time to lecture others.

100% agree with the TM ! @Motherhood - Even I was surprised how she’s going to hold onto this ‘MAA HOON NE’ crap when time and again she refuses to be with her kids when probably they truly need her ! And mind it, this incident is going to be added to Baa’s already long-list of how bad a mother Anupama is and is going to make to the stage in their next ugly spat. 🤣

AnupaMAA’s true reason to stick around CA is to keep her bank balance happy. Otherwise I don’t see any motherly feeling or attitude of hers towards CA. Choti toh meri paroshi friend ki maa and hamari househelp bhi mujhe bandha karti thi when I was a kid. Homeworks were done by a private tutor. Choti baandhne se and homeworks karaane se again one fulfills the duties that can be done by other professionals, being a mother is a different ballgame.

I am waiting for the day CA herself chooses Maaya. At least in 1 incident puppy did it, I dont keep a lot of expectations from spineless people. 🤔

I honestly feel there is zero redemption for Shitnupa or for that matter most of the characters in this crapfest.

The lead character is a failure in every sense (if you consider being a daughter/mother/wife/MIL etc) and even going ahead she's never going to learn from her past blunders or make progress.
