Why the maned her Choti Anu

There might be a leap in the future and the creators do not want to change the name of the show.

Because her name is also Anu..so since she's younger she's names CHOTI ANU

Yes, I feel like that. The time when Anu was praying early in the morning in the hospital and Choti Anu praying before the tulsi tree. It definitely signifies that Choti Anu will be the lead of the extended story.

They were showing a parallel that just like how Badi Anu is praying for Anuj to recover, Choti Anu at home is also praying for her dad
